I truly had the most comfortable and enjoyable stay here in the bungalow. As a new resident of California I used this long stay as a spot to transition into living on the west coast! Me and my cat ended up falling in love with the neighborhood and ended up moving permanently down the street! My host made my experience so wonderful, was flexible when my moving dates got pushed back, and provided me with everything I needed to have the best first month here❤️

The process was easy to connect with Maria. She had all the information ready for us as well as fresh fruit in a bowl. The space is so cute with concrete floors for easy clean ups from pets. The presence of a deep soaking tub makes resting relaxing. Located right off Rose Avenue, a Whole Foods around the corner and several top-notch eateries, all within walking distance, makes this a great place to stay for the beach experience. Highly recommend.

My wife and I (and our dog) stayed at the this property for just over 4 weeks and had a fantastic stay. Everything is just as it looks in the photos, and is well appointed for a 2 person stay. The kitchen has everything you need, and the bathroom was well stocked and spacious. The back patio was very private and sunny and a perfect spot for our dog to hang out. The AC worked great as our stay was during the summer and kept the place cool and comfortable on warmer days. It was also great to have gated private parking (big enough for our SUV). Having the separate entrance was nice so we didn't feel like we were disturbing the hosts when we came and went. Ozone park was an easy 2 minute walk and the area is good for dog walking. The beach is about a 10 minute walk right down Rose Ave and there are many restaurants along Rose and in the general area. Maria was a fantastic host and responded to our questions quickly and even lent us a few tools when we had issues with our scooters that we brought with us. Something to note, the bungalow has a lot of natural light so if you are a light sleeper you may want to bring an eye mask if you like to sleep in :-) We wouldn't hesitate to book this property again.

After enduring consistently brutal winters in New York City, we decided this year we were going to spend those miserable few months somewhere warmer. There was really no other choice but LA, so we looked at a number of places in Venice. This charming little bungalow really jumped out, so we took a chance. And what a great choice. After booking, Maria (the host) was super responsive to our questions, providing detailed info about everything, such as how to access the unit, where to get coffee, where to eat, neighborhood tips, etc. Before we even left New York, we felt like we already knew everything there was to know about this place. And when we finally arrived—before we even unlocked the front door—Maria delivered clean rugs (just washed) and welcomed us to her bungalow! It was at that point I had a really strong feeling this was gonna be a great stay. But when we opened the front door, that feeling was multiplied tenfold! Everything was exactly as pictured… although the pictures really didn’t do it justice. From the vaulted wood ceiling (with skylights) to the overhead (dimmable) accent lighting to the perfectly manicured outdoor patio area to the artwork on the walls… this charming little bungalow was literally love at first sight for us. The kitchen had everything you could ever need. The memory foam mattress (just like ours back home in NYC) was heavenly. The bathroom was spacious and bright, with plenty of towels, soaps, shampoos, etc. The sliding glass doors to the patio (strung with overhead patio-lights for evening ambience) really opened it up and enhanced the sense of space. A desk with paper, envelopes and a PRINTER was an added convenience. And our little Brussels Griffon ‘Ralphie’ immediately jumped into the XL Orvis doggie bed, which swallowed him up in luxurious doggie comfort! And clean. This place was so clean when we arrived that my wife, who is a clean-freak that can spot a single speck of dust on the top of a picture frame, couldn’t find a single speck of dust anywhere. About the host (Maria)… she is absolutely the most wonderful, helpful, and cheerful person you will ever meet. She simply could not have been more accommodating to us and our dog Ralphie. There aren’t enough stars to give her as a VRBO host. Thank you Maria! We loved our stay and we will be back!

Sweet modern 1 br in Venice

I spent 10 weeks at Maria's place escaping the NY winter, and it was just as cute as the pictures promised. It is equipped with everything 1-2 people need for a great short or long-term stay. The space is very private with a separate entrance. Petite but very well designed, the layout and light from the outdoor space makes it feel bigger than it is. Maria is a wonderful host, she had local groundworks coffee and other treats waiting for my arrival. When a few little issues popped up (like a light going out) she was highly responsive and addressed them immediately. I have 2 small dogs and it is hard to find a nice place that is also pet friendly. Maria had dog beds and food bowls waiting for me because I couldn't bring their things on the plane. It is located on a beautiful and quiet street - but the neighborhood is in a super convenient area of Venice, with a whole foods and CVS just around the corner and many great restaurants in walking distance. It was an easy 15 minute walk to the beach and the shops on Abbot Kinney. There is a dedicated parking space but it was also very easy to find street parking. It was a great home base to explore a new neighborhood!
