The \"Belknap Cabin\"
About this house rental
Located in McKenzie River, this lovely house for $286 per night is a fantastic choice for your next trip. WOW! This nearly new cedar shake cabin is absolutely perfect with the hard wood floors, the knotty pine walls and ceilings, the large classic wood stove, the huge elevated deck with gas grill, the separate private sleeping areas, the fully equipped kitchen with full size appliances and the memories your gatherings will cherish forever! Belknap Covered Bridge is located just west of the cabin, thus the name. Enjoy this beautiful gem on the edge of the Willamette National Forest -- known for its multiple natural hot-springs, vast ancient lava flows, old growth forests and endless hiking and mountain biking options. There are several high cascade lakes scattered through the foothills of the Cascade Mountains that surround this Upper Mckenzie River Valley locale. Look up The Willamette National Forest and you'll find lots of information about the many adventures your group can experience. We recommend that you make sure you see The Blue Pool, Clear Lake, Sahalie Falls, Koosah Falls, Proxy Falls, Scott Lake and Terwilliger Hot-Springs. Tokatee Golf Course is minutes close and so are 3 nice restaurants for your dining pleasure. Bring the bikes, because King Rd and Rainbow Dr (Mckenzie River Dr) are wonderful biking roads with minimal slow traffic and huge views of the river and the Three Sisters Mountains to the east. Feel free to contact Jonathan if you have any questions or need any referrals to services.

My husband and I discovered this little cabin several years ago before it was listed with VRBO. It became our favorite Anniversary getaway. Quiet, lots to do in the area and the cabin is super cozy. We brought our 3 girls for the New Year. They loved it! Will return again for some RNR.

What a gem of a cabin. Every window had amazing views and you could hear the sound of the river throughout. Decorated super cute, very clean and well equipped. Beautiful well kept grounds. Great location very quiet and private. We cooked some meals in and enjoyed the kitchen. Great bathrooms with great water pressure. We all felt super relaxed throughout our stay. Great meals at Dakotas and Obsidian Grill. We soaked in the pool at Belknap Hot Springs and went on an amazing hike at Blue Pool.

We only stayed two nights and spent most of the time at a nearby wedding venue. Wished we had more time to sit on the deck an enjoy the McKenzie River or to use some of the nearby hiking trails. Screened porch with table chairs and bunk bed is great feature for a larger group.

This cabin was exactly what we were hoping for and more. The location to the river is perfect and the cabin is pristine. We needed a nice little two-night getaway, and this property exceeded our expectations in every way. Kudos to the very nice owners, the property is our new favorite!

Reserved this property 4/22 for stay 7/23. Received call from property manager Memorial Day weekend 5/23 telling me I needed cancel cuz property owners wanted the dates I had reserved over 1-1/2 prior. I had family coming in for get together with this place being the hub. I was so disappointed, poor business/customer service. Would not recommend. An alternative offered but was studio w/pullout. Not acceptable unbelievable it was even offered, 2 bed, roomy cabin.

Our family enjoyed our stay at this cabin! It was clean, right along the McKenzie River, had easy access to numerous hiking trails and waterfalls, and was just relaxing! Would highly recommend!

This cabin is beautiful, as is the location! Be mindful that the Internet is spotty at best and if you are hoping to use your phone for directions, and/or to locate the entry key code on your VRBO app.. you need to have that before you get too close to the cabin, as there is a good chance, your app will not work. All my friends arrived from various locations, Bend, Salem, Portland, Dallas… which meant we had 4 cars.. parking is not ideal for this… but we made do. Screened porch is quite awesome! And one of my friends slept out there the entire time. Kitchen had just about everything we needed with the exception of regular size bowls😀 . The place is very clean and quiet. The deck is amazing!! (although lacking comfortable chairs to sit in or lounge chairs, which would be amazing to have….) nonetheless, we spent hours sitting and eating there.
If you like extra towels, or more than one towel for 5 days, you might want to give the host a heads up.
I would definitely recommend this cabin🙌😍

Location Location Location!! Wonderful cabin located in an ideal location. Listen to the river flowing while you sleep and throughout the day. Open the windows, sit on the deck or inside the screened in porch, which also has sleeping bunk beds available. The kitchen is well stocked if you decide to eat in, or check out the nearby dining options. Store and gas station are close, so you can prepare for your daily adventures. We love this cabin!!

We loved this little cabin in the woods with the sound of the river. Nice decor, clean and updated. Very useable kitchen. Enjoyed a family bike ride on the quiet scenic road. Wish the outdoor dining table was larger and that they had a lounge on outdoor deck, but those might be my only suggestions. We would go back if staying in this area.

We loved our time at the cabin! It is exactly what the pictures look like! We took walks out on the property and the area, it was a delightful Thanksgiving! The only negative is the very squeaky bed downstairs.

Beautiful well appointed "cabin" had everything we needed for a comfortable stay while fishing the river for four days. Great location for summer time fisher folks and rafters. We're talking about making this an annual event at the Belknap Cabin.

This is a beautiful cabin in a lovely spot. It’s NOT right on the highway and motor vehicles are rarely noticed. The interior and exterior of the cabin are gorgeous and the screen porch is a great complement to the deck overlooking the river. Beware that the river is NOT swimmable in June at this spot; it is a wide torrent great for rafters and very nice to look at. The noise of the river comes right in through open windows, but it was a nice white noise for us. Didn’t use the TV, Wi-Fi was so-so. Master Bed frame was lovely but squeaky old box springs and squishy mattress need replacement. All other furniture and kitchen worked well for us. No A/C but ceiling fan and portable fans moved plenty of air. Very nice spot and a great environment.

A very nice and creatively furnished cabin right on the river. The deck out back is great when its not raining and the fully screened covered deck with a bunk bed is great for when it is. Staying here is a highlight of our annual trip to Rainbow!
