Unhappy experience

It is easy to access main highways from The Regency.

The apartment was dirty. The apartment is not well maintained - a lot of cracks The couch is very unstable - look at the legs that might be damaged or lose/bent Lift loby access system the apartment floor wasn't operational - was stuck between lift & door & has to make a few calls for assistance The curtains in the bedroom not closing properly because the curtain hooks were unclipped - left a gap in the curtain which let the bright lights from outside to shine in the room at night which was a distraction The linen and towels were not properly washed & had evidence of stains & not ironed No iron in the apartment, which meant that I had to wear creased clothes to work Restuarant staff make decisions for guests without their consent for replacements for stuff they don't have at the restaurant

It was ok , it’s a good place that just needs maintenance

The aircon in the bedroom not working, property not properly maintained , bathroom smells moisture , no scents put in the bathroom to maintain the moisture smell because of air-rations, walls to the bedroom chipped not repaired , door to the property not properly cleaned , losing its white colour

It was overall a good experience

The location was perfect.

The oven didn't work and the air con in the bedroom just started making noise in the middle of the night. Dstv didn't want to stream

It was ok

There was a lot of noise, I think someone was hosting a party. There were still rose petals on the floor from the previous guests. The bed needs to be changed as it’s sinking.

Did not eat there often

Poor quality linen, linen with marks, towels were never changed, you say you change linen after 7 days mine was never changed, bins were left full not removed only when they were overflowing (toilet and the kitchen) not sure why then the cleaning team left them to be full, I am not sure if pots are non stick or what but they are in a terrible condition they need to be changed. Please wash your couches especially the one seaters. Please do not say you provide tea because what I saw there seemed like left overs from the previous guest nothing properly set for the new guests.

Their excellent customer service made my stay a pleasant one

Staff was friendly and helpful

Easy access/movement within the property. Key cards only used to open the room and pool area. I didn’t feel safe. Anyone can walk into the hotel and go to the rooms

UNSATISFACTORY

The set up of the room is great, the sliding door and the view to the pool area.The bedrooms were satisfactory and beds comfortable. The access to all that you'd need if you were at home,washing machine, tumble dryrer though we could not operate it( no orientation given, looked pretty straight forward but would not work).

I initially requested ( special request) to check in later than the expected time ( 15:00-21:00) as i was travelling from the Eastern Cape and was uncertain about my time of arriveal. My request was denied. We managed to arrive within the expected time of check in, we were shown to our apartment and i soon recognised that the lights above the staircase were flickering. I reported this and i must say i was appalled we had arrived to such. The understanding is that we booked way in advance and therefore arrangements should have been made prior to our arrival to fix the lights. I was told by the host who didnt seem to be bothered much that they dont have a ladder. When i lodged a formal complaint i was told maintenance would be sent through the following day to fix the lights ,it wasnt shocking to me that the lights were not fixed for the whole duration of our stay. When we tried to switch the tv on, it would not switch on, we had to call the host who took it off from the wall and pulled and beat the tv here and there with eventual success. Looking around i noticed the couches and floor rugs that are with stains( granted old stains) but effort should be made to renew, whether couche covers and even cheaper newer rugs. The place itself has great potential but is far from being accomodative as a business to its customers satisfaction. I was met with little to no accomodation to my request. There was poor preparation for our arrival in as far as checking what is functional in the apartment and what isnt. From the lights, to the tvs ,to the tumble dryers ,to the squicky cleaness of the bathrooms ,to the rugs and couches. All these need looking into. As mentioned take away all these issues mentioned, the place would be great and good value for your money. But at this point i was greatly disappointed. Im certain i would never return for a stay nor would i recommend your place to anyone i know and all because of these already mentioned.

very lovely, i didn’t wanna leave!😍

i love the corner apartment with its own entrance. it was so private and secluded. it was so easy to access. the apartment was beautiful and a good size. the view was good and the apartment was located in a perfect place, literally 5 minutes away from the mall and most restaurants. the host(s) and receptionists were extremely friendly and helpful. i loved spending my birthday weekend there!

the toilet upon arrival had a bit of an unclean smell ☹️but after flushing it went away. the utensils and cutlery were not clean

Beautiful stay,I would come here any day I’m in Pretoria

Great location, walking distance from Menlyn, property equipments, Android TV which has Netflix, showmax, iptv, food there were nice, the pool is also beautiful

I didn’t know I had to wait to get the key so that wa a little off but the key was delivered. Must update phone contact for calls on booking.com because the phone was off when I got to the property

Great apartment, comfy and convenient with friendly staff and security.

The apartment was small but perfectly adequate for 1. Very clean and comfortable, well appointed and good Wi-Fi

The balcony is a too small to sit outside for a morning coffee. Would be nice if there was a safe in the room

Not Raving about the Regency

Room was neat and clean. Good location

Waited over an hour to be checked in. Check-in process not user friendly Can't communicate with check-in person as there was a power failure, and she had no data available to receive messages. Wi-Fi was obviously not working. Unprofessional and extremely frustrating experience

Disappointing

The bathroom window did not have a latch and due to the weather the window was flying open with rain pouring in. We literally had to stand for half an hour holding it shut, when we alerted the host their response was disappointing, they did not even come through to assist and said the maintenance guy would be in the next day. In the lounge water was flooding in from the rain and all electrical appliances were getting wet. Once again when we alerted the host we were told to just wipe it up with towels. We were forced to cut our stay short due to the apartment not being safe. In the mornings cleaning staff would come in using their own sets of keys they would not even knock, they would just enter. The bathroom ceiling was moldy and was pealing and falling to the ground

A short but impressive stay ! Well worth the rate .

The property was clean and neat and the staff are very honest . I forgot my bag in the room and the property called to say that the cleaner found my bag . We picked it up with nothing missing .

Good location, okay stay.

Service from the staff. Lebanki’s service was great and helpful. The location of the property and building amenities.

Upon checking in there were numerous housekeeping issues that I reported and Lebanki did his best to assist with correcting, but unfortunately this did not make up for the disappointing experience. The linen and bath set I was provided was worn out and stained. Though cleaned, this is not comfortable for guests to use and these should be replaced.

Worst Service Ever!! I wouldn’t recommend this apartment.

The location of the property.

1.We got to the property and had to wait for 30 minutes for some lady to come and give us our room keys and show us our rooms, we didn’t like that at all. 2.The property had no hot water, we were told to wait for 2 hours, we waited till 11pm waiting for hot water but the water was still cold, so we went to bed without bathing. The next morning around 8am the water was still cold, they didn’t even try to offer us a boiler or something instead they told us it was a building issue there is nothing they could do. We asked for our money back and checked out. I wouldn’t recommend this apartments to anyone, rather go pay good money elsewhere and know that you are happy. These people don’t care about their guests. 3.Dishes and glasses were dirty and had to be washed before use. Towels were cream white no longer white and looked old, I’d recommend you bring your own towel.

The view from my room. How spacious the room was. And that help was only a mail away,they responded and attended all my needs.

The fact that there was no hot water until the last day of my stay. And i couldnt access the wifi on my phone and tv.

it was great overall but make sure you refill shower gels for guests for their convenience

the bathroom didnt have shower gel and we had to go buy for ourselves late at night as we thought it would be provided to us.

Won’t stay again, noisy and bad ventilation

Amazing location, easy parking, looks modern. Large unit.

Noisy in the evening in the hallways and bad ventilation during Loadshedding. Bedding was old and full of dust balls, felt gross. Only one pillow per person, asked for 1 extra pillow per person and they said they don’t have. Like wtf.

There was load shedding on Friday night and the generator was not turned on. Also When checking out in the morning the scanner to open the door was not working and had to wait about 15 to 20 minutes for it to be sorted

Stay at the Regency Apartments

I liked that the place was quiet and so close to the mall. The bed was also nice and big. Everything we needed for the weekend was available from hot water to wifi.

There is no shower, and the sheets and pillowcases had some stains.

I had a pleasant stay within affordable distances to the places i needed to be and great security.

If the apartment includes breakfast then i totally blanked out on that information mostly because i am not a breakfast person and rarely look out for it in my bookings.

The site should mention the difference between booking the apartments and booking the hotel in terms of management.
