Sanctuary House is the perfect retreat for couples, families and friends who are looking to experience the magic of Martha’s Vineyard. Sanctuary House offers a first floor primary bedroom with ensuite bathroom, cast iron soaking tub, washer/dryer and hot tub right outside the bedroom door. The upstairs offers 3 sun-filled cozy bedrooms, 2 of them with stunning water views. The house has a brand new, beautifully renovated kitchen with views of the Vineyard Sound. Prepare your meals while watching the boats go by in the day and dramatic sunsets in the evening. The kitchen has a chef’s grade induction stove, refrigerator with ice and filtered water, double-drawer dishwasher, microwave, toaster, coffee maker and many other kitchen amenities. Also enjoy fresh farm eggs from our flock! The open living room and dining area is full of windows and light with doors that connect to the outside patio and expansive yard. The outdoor dining area is a wonderful place to enjoy al fresco meals and relax around the fire pit while looking at the water and taking in a sunset. There is an indoor wood burning fireplace as well as an outdoor Solo smokeless fire pit. The outdoor shower is a must after a long, sandy day at the beach. Sanctuary House is located steps from the Cedar Tree Neck Sanctuary- the most beloved walking and hiking trails on the island. The trails wind through the forest and along the coastline offering spectacular ocean vista views along the way. Sanctuary House comes with a pass to Lambert’s Cove Beach- one of the most beautiful beaches on the island. The truly unique experience while staying at Sanctuary House is the opportunity to enjoy the farm beauty- our 3 horses, flock of chickens and the iconic Martha’s Vineyard antique barn. It truly is a sanctuary. Our family was thrilled to be back and can’t wait to plan our next trip! Haven and Dan are the most wonderful hosts, the house is perfect and has everything you could want. And the location can’t be beat - ocean views, quiet, and miles of gorgeous walking trails right out the door! It’s a truly special place.

This is such a special place on the island. Peaceful, private, quiet and charming. Haven made sure our stay was memorable; we even had the freshest eggs imaginable in a basket awaiting our arrival. Haven spent some of her busy morning telling us about her farm and the chickens; we got a great education and got to meet “the girls”! I highly recommend this space. Was perfect for four adults.

My recent stay at the charming rental property on the island was an absolute delight. When we arrived, it felt like stepping into a peaceful oasis where nature and tranquility embraced us. The Sanctuary Farm property's location was simply perfect. It offered easy access to various parts of the island, allowing us to explore the area effortlessly. Everything was within reach, whether we wanted to bask in the sun on Katama or Menemsha beach or venture into the various towns for local shopping and dining. What truly made our stay extraordinary was the incredible wildlife encounters we experienced right at the property. The sight of deer gracefully roaming the lower field, turkeys showcasing their majestic presence, and even catching a glimpse of a skunk hopping across the yard added an unexpected touch of excitement to our vacation. It felt like being in harmony with nature, immersing ourselves in its beauty and charm. The views of the horses and chickens were a fantastic distraction. The horses exuded grace and elegance, while the chickens provided a whimsical atmosphere with their lively presence. The daily interactions with these animals added a unique charm to our stay. The rental property itself was a haven of comfort and relaxation. We left with hearts full of cherished memories and a strong desire to return. If you're seeking a serene getaway that encapsulates the essence of the island, this property is undoubtedly the perfect choice.

Looking for relaxation and privacy? The sanctuary farm is for you. Lovely and kind hosts, all the little things thought of, enough decor to be very appealing but not cluttered so you have nowhere to put your things. Modern appliances but a rustic feel. Our fourth rental home in as many years, and by far our favorite! We’ll be back.

We loved our stay at the Sanctuary House. The house itself was so beautiful - it had the farmhouse feel with modern touches and appliances. The view off the back deck was amazing and we enjoyed a lot of our time out there. We loved having the horses and chickens out front to say hi to as we came and left! We hope to come back and enjoy another stay at this lovely property!

Very cool location. House was very clean, beds were comfortable and the owners were extremely responsive and gracious. Kids loved seeing the chickens every morning. Would definitely return and recommend to friends and family.

Cannot say enough things about this property! We absolutely loved our stay. The house is beautiful and so cozy. The property is gorgeous - from the views to the horses! It's right next to wonderful hiking trails, including some that take you right to the ocean. Haven and Dan could not have been more gracious hosts - so warm and welcoming and Haven was especially kind to introduce my son to the horses and chickens - the highlight of his trip. This house lives up to it's name as a sanctuary!

Thoughtful in every detail and spotlessly clean, this is a lovely place to spend time with family (or friends). Whether hanging out in front of a fire in the livingroom, watching movies, using the hottub, or gathering on the terrace with views of the ocean, every space was easy and comfortable for a group. This place and the hosts could not have been better for our white Christmas stay on the Vineyard. From the welcoming Xmas decorations to the farm fresh eggs, local chocolates and wine waiting for us, this place also has great views and vibes. The owners worked with us as ferry schedules changed due to a winter storm and were responsive during our stay but left us alone to enjoy the beautiful property and nearby walking trails that our dog especially enjoyed. We hope to be back during the summer but winter here was super relaxing and highly recommended.

Our family stayed in this house in the off-season for a quiet long weekend. The owners were very easy to deal with and communicated well. We had a great time. The property includes a fenced in farm with horses and chickens, which the owners tend to daily. They were unobtrusive. The chickens provided fresh eggs, more than we could finish. The house was quaint, and had an old farmhouse appeal. The kitchen was modern with new appliances. The cabinets were well-stocked with pots, pans and silverware. The fireplace in the living room was cozy at night. Our kids stayed in the 3 bedrooms upstairs; those rooms are small, but are sufficient for sleeping and reading. The master bedroom is much larger and opens to the hot tub outside. The washer and dryer were convenient. There were several mini-split heat pumps throughout the house that provided ample heat. The house had quite a bit of property, and backed onto the sanctuary, very close to several trails which we enjoyed. It was very quiet, but close enough to amenities. We would definitely stay here again!

An incredibly charming home full of quirky and wonderful character but with all then modern cons that you could want. Haven and Dan were wonderful. The view is idyllic and the surroundings bucolic - complete with chickens and ponies. Never have we stayed a place that we could not stop talking about. We were looking to book out next visit 24-hours after being there. Truly beautiful.

This property is a fantastic place to use as a tranquil base camp for exploring Martha's Vineyard. The property itself is secluded with a great view out to the water, and having farm animals close by is fun. The house is cute and cozy with many modern touches. The hosts are incredibly nice and left us a few fun bakery surprises, but were never intrusive. Looking forward to going back!

We had a truly magical time at this West Tisbury home. Neat & clean, well appointed and conveniently located. We had everything we needed and more. Sanctuary Farm is a jewel of a home set on the most idyllic property with water views and gorgeous sunsets. Haven and Dan go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. Even the horses and chickens seem happy to share their farm with you. Nearby walking trails, the outdoor shower, cooking meals in the fully equipped kitchen, and relaxing in the hot tub are additional highlights. The house is the perfect setting to gather with friends/family in total comfort and unplug. Should the stars align, we’ll absolutely be back!!!
