Mary was great to work with as the owner. Everything was just as advertised. We had a great time there. The screened in porch is awesome after a day on the lake to unwind.

We didn't even stay, it was that bad. We found another place, spent more money, so we didn't have to spend a night in that house. Immediately upon entering you're assaulted with an overwhelming and nauseating combination of 7 different scented plug ins. We removed them to the porch to try and air out the house. While it was airing we decided to go check out the private beach access that was listed. The hike was over rough terrain, and even with a wagon holding our things, it was a challenge getting to the water. The "beach" was also a pile of rocks. This is not an ideal location to swim, lounge, or hang out. More suited for fishing off the boat dock. After that disappointing discovery we trekked back to the house. When we went back in the house we realized the 7 plug ins were there to try and mask the mouse and mold smells. We thought we could make it work, we did just spend a ridiculous amount of money for the 2 nights. We moved our things into the bedroom and upon walking through the house, realized how dirty and gross everything was. It definitely hadn't been cleaned before our arrival, or anytime recently. The air filter in the floor is black, clogged with hair, debris, and what appeared to be pieces of broken light bulb. I'm not sure why I, or anyone else, was charged a high cleaning fee. It's obviously not being used. We spent less than an hour, half of it outside, before deciding that there was no way we could stay. It was too bad. We packed everything back in the car and went down the road to a hotel. I took pictures of everything and will be filing a formal complaint with Evolve. I can't imagine why they would want their name associated with this property.

Mrs. Mary, the host, was amazing. She was easy to communicate with and went above and beyond to help get a pillow mailed back to me that was left after our stay. There were goodies left for us and easy directions left to answer any question we had about the property. My son was fishing in the Arkansas State High School and Junior Bass Tournament that weekend and this property was perfect for our stay. This is definitely a little country cottage style home that took me back to staying summers with my grandparents. It had everything we needed and then some. It had a large area for our little kids to play but was a close enough distance to the lake that our older kids could walk to and be in hollering distance. We had a total of four vehicles and two boats with plenty of parking space. The location had the perfect boat covered carport by an electric pole with electric cords to charge both boats at night. The screened in porch was perfect for our evening dinner and card games. There was plenty of shaded yard to put both my senior dogs on separate running lines, and the house had dog bowls there to use. You are far enough from the highway to feel safe with the kids playing and only a short drive to the boat ramp. I felt like everything was exactly as advertised. The only thing that we were not able to use, at no fault to the host, was the boat dock. The water levels unusually high so we were not able to walk out to the boat dock. That did not stop my teenage kids from wadding out to it and fish off of it. We will definitely book all our stays at Greer’s Ferry at this location. If you are looking for a family, kid, and pet friendly location this is it. I do not like staying in a cabin/house that are so fancy that I fear me or my kids to touch anything, this home is definitely a relaxed setting. I will take a county homie cottage over a huge fancy modern cabin/house any day. A big thank you to Mrs. Mary for sharing her home with us and making us feel welcomed and at home during our stay.
