A little breathless the first time up the steps, but getting dropped off at wrong location by taxi driver didn't help. After that it wasn't too bad. The apartment was in a great location between the old and new town with the beach just over the road and fantastic ocean views from kitchen, bedroom and balcony.The good thing was that some windows had grills over them so they could be left open. The bedroom was a good size and the mattress was very comfortable. The kitchen had all the appliances that you needed although we only used the toaster as eating out was so cheap. The only problem we had was the Patio door was a little stiff to open. There was plenty of information left on where to eat and what to do. The best Chinese was Oriental World rather than the all you can eat buffets as food freshly cooked. During the day most bars sell pints for 1.50. Good nighttime entertainment in Palms and Brian Boru. Cheapest breakfast was 2 euro in a taverna just past the casino. Of a night you could eat for as little as 5.50. Great stay and location. Will definately return.

The apartment is in a fantastic location in the midst of everything and yet not overly noisy. Very clean and spacious with everything you could possible need. There is a lovely pool, you are basically on the beach, supermarket a few minutes walk away, parking available to the rear of the apartment we shall definitely be requesting to book again the next time we visit Lanzarote.

We stayed here for 2 weeks. Couldn't really find any fault with the accommodation apart from the smell of fresh paint. Everything as detailed, pool area always empty. There are lots of steps around complex but not a problem if your fit. Would definitely stay there again.

Tookeys at the bottom of the stairs is nice for a drink and for using their wifi. It was great to just walk across the road to get on the beach which we enjoyed walking most mornings. A taxi to the golf course was about 4-5 euros and there is a taxi rank at the front of the building. We had good communication with James the owner and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend his apartment to friends and family. You do need to be fairly fit as there are a lot of steps around the complex but it helps to work off all that delicious food and alcohol.

The accommodation was in a great location for access to the beach, The Old Town and of course right on the main strip. We found the beds to be comfortable and all the mod cons make it a very suitable home from home.We spent many lazy afternoons on the balcony with a book + G&T's until the sun went down. The property was clean and tidy and there was plenty of linen provided and the info supplied by the owner was plentiful and accurate. Having stayed in many properties in Puerto Del Carmen I would certainly not hesitate to use this one again.

The pool area was quiet with plenty of room to swim or sunbathe.There are quite a few steps, but if reasonbly fit no problem, but if have difficulty walking then you may find it difficult.You are convenient to both old and new town, and there is an abundance of bars and eating places just out on the strip. The one we liked was just outside of the apartments called Ponderosa where the food was a good portion and very tasty, the bars we liked were Scotts corner old town, and Irish bars Murphys and Brianboro just outside the apartments. All in all I would reccomend these apartments and would like to stay there again in the future.

This apartment is centrally located in PDC right on the beach-front and is in a secure/quiet complex just back from the bars/restaurants etc of the playa. It was very clean, neat and tidy and has wonderful views out over the beach towards Fuerteventura. There was ample literature in the apartment on Restaurants recommended by the property owner as well as others who had stayed in the apartment. We dined in a number of restaurants in the Calle Teide area of the old town (above the harbour) and had great meals in them all.TJs Caribbean Tapas Bar, Emma's Cantina Mexicana and Valentina's we would highly recommend a visit to (a 10-15 min walk from the apt). If you like simple chinese food, there are a couple of buffet restaurants out the front of the complex and 100yds along to the left were you can eat all you can for 6.95 Euros! Whilst we spent most days on the beach, we walked through the old town and along the scenic coastal path to Puerto Calero (approx 3 miles from the apt), with its numerous bars, cafes and restaurants to stop for a beer/coke and a bite of lunch. Well worth the walk for the views etc. If you like a bottle of wine or two for the fridge in the apartment, we found the numerous Tobacco and alcohol outlets scattered along the seafront were the cheapest places to buy them (far cheaper than the small supermarkets in the area). In addition to this, don't wait to get to the airport going home to get your cigarettes/alcohol as these items are generally far cheaper from the same Tobacco/alcohol shops in Puerto Del Carmen. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this apartment in Puerto Del Carmen and would highly recommend it to all for a good quality apartment centrally located and just across the road from the main beach.

Caleton Blanco is a hidden gem ! On arrival to the apartment my first impression was 'what a light, bright and airy place this is perfect !' It has huge windows that completely open up in bedroom,kitchen and bathroom. The apartment was clean and well maintained, everything in full working order and hot water all the time. Everything in the owners write up is accurate as to what the apartment contains,there is also a small fan in the apartment. The balcony is a real sun trap catching the sun from midday to sun down.( overlooked only by upstairs apartment) The pool area was lovely also, very quiet and peaceful, never more than a family and 2 friends there at any one time. As previous occupants have mentioned there is noise late at night (11pm-2am ??) from the noisy/loud karaoke bar somewhere nearby. What you need to do is shut the bedroom windows completely and this should rectify the problem. Caleton Blanco is very central to everything ! Beach over the road, restaurants either way, shops, supermarkets. The taxi rank and public bus stop is literally out the front of gates. If a taxi is not there you generally wait no longer than 10 mins for one to arrive. If you like walks then take your pick which direction you go.! 1) A lovely long walk through/around harbour and on towards Puerto Calero via a safe cliff walk. or 2) A walk along the promenade all the way to Matorgada ,a little bit further and you can see the planes come in and land at Arrecife airport...... you can carry on further than this. Caleton Blanco is a safe locked and gated complex. On my arrival the main gate was locked, a quick phone call to James (the owner) and someone within 10/15 mins had arrived to open it for me. I cannot fault the service and communication from James through out the months prior and the days after my holiday. I without a doubt will be returning to this wonderful apartment in its fabulous location in the immediate future ! and I would definetely recommend it also.

i love this apartment! superb location seconds from the beach bars and restaurants. the apartment was spacious and immaculate. the views were amazing. the pool area was very clean and never overcrowded. a very safe complex as both sides were gated and always locked. i never heard any noise from the bars below so no problem for me at all.I would definetley stay here again and james the owner was a delight to deal with.

We are a family of 4 who enjoyed our stay in this apartment. It was close to the main beach & bars/restaurants along the nicest part of the avenida des playas and also close enought to the old port to enjoy that area too. The apartment was clean and comfortable, the views were lovely and the balcony caught the sun from just after mid day to late evening - perfect. The complex was secure and all maintained in lovely condition and the pool area was quiet and clean. The steps I was worried about but needn't have been - they were fine - worth it for the view form the first floor. Would recommend highly.

My wife and I stayed in the first week of April 2011. The apartment is well maintained and set in nice grounds. The location so close to the beach and both the Old Town and the newer parts is ideal. I would recommend this apartment as a relaxing holiday destination. Also the assistance given by the owner is second to none.

My brother and I were recently staying in the apartment and had a really enjoyable holidays there.The apartment has basicly everything you need.Its exacly like on the pictures showed in the advert if not better. The views are fantastic , its kept clean and the location is perfect.Restaurants,bars ,shops are literary at your doorstep,beach just across the street and the Old Town walking distance too,not to mention it takes you only 15 min to get there from the airport!If you plan on renting a car(what we did) to explore a bit more of the island it could be as well a great base for that .To do so is relatively cheap in Lanzarote and I would highly recommand that .Car rental Vincente has quite decent prices. The complex in general is well maintained,has 2 swimming pools and two gates; so to avoid being stopped at every single occasion by the restaurant people from below trying to convince you to eat at their place you can simply escape through the back door :) About the apartment the only problem we noticed was a bit loud in the nights from the bar downstairs on the couple of occasions .They have a karaoke evenings nearly every night. So what we did the following days ,we simply decided to join them and we had actually quite nice time there ,and problem solved :) For us the week was not enough to see all the beauty the island has to offer so we will be definetely coming back there one day .With plenty of new experience and few adventures our stay on the island was really exciting! Also if the weather there is always as good as during our stay (especially in March ) its worth going there,even though we got sunburned the second day, we still loved it :)

The apartment is in a nice looked after secure complex.Lovely apartment,clean and comfortable,great views,as for the steps,no problem,gives you a bit of exercise.Very central for the beach,bars and shops,just a short stroll to the Old Town.Owner great to deal with,offers a friendly and efficient service.Stopped in this apartment February 2011 and had a brilliant holiday.Will be returning in the near future.

We have just returned after spending a week here from 6 to 13 Feb 2011. This was the first time we have been to Lanzarote and the weather couldn't have been better. No rain and only one windy and overcast day which didn't spoil the holiday as we walked the length of the promenade stopping for a few beers on the way back. The pool area and grounds are kept immaculat. No problem getting loungers as only ever 8 other people there. Ideal location for walking to both the old town and the other way along the promenade. A nice place to visit is Puerto Calero which you can take the cliff walk to but I would advise wearing trainers and not sadals as it is quite rough in places. The walk took about 1 1/2 hours but we got the boat back to Puerto del Carmen which cost us 5 euros each. We also got the local but into Arricife - I would recommend having a drink in the bar on the 17th floor of the 5* hotel on the waters edge (you can;t miss it as it is the only highrise there). I thought the drinks may have been expensive but was pleasantly surprised (a mojito, water and lemon came to 10 euros). Some since shops here too and the harbour area is good. There are loads of places to eat and drink but I would recommend the Tropicana which is just at the bottom of the steps to the complex for very good pizzas which you can get as a take-away if you are staying in and watching a dvd. Also the Tequila Lounge serves very good sandwiches/wraps at lunch time. For a nice meal we went to Bodega in the old town (it has hams hanging above the bar). The Toby Jug serves a good Sunday lunch (this is served on a Wednesday as well). There are quite a few chinese buffets which are excellent value. The apartment complex does have a quite a few stairs but the entrance is straight off the promenade and there is a taxi rank and bus stop just outside (a taxi from the airport costs around 15 euros). The complex is locked at both gates so you can be sure there won't be any undesirables wandering around. The apartment has fantastic views over the sea and there are sun loungers on the balcony if you don't want to go to the pool area. The beach is just across the road although the hire of parasols and loungers was quite expensive. There is a safe in the apartment and the kitchen has everything you need. I would certainly have no hesitation in recommending this apartment to anyone (and will be doing) and will certainly be looking to visit again ourselves.

we stayed at this apartment over xmas and new year,could not fault it in anyway ,the most comfy beds ever views to die for areal home from home experience .spotless clean ,never felt so safe.the owner very easy to deal with exellent! worth every penny.just loved every minute of it fantastic.

It's a clean, well-maintained, simple apartment that provides an ideal base for exploring Puerto del Carmen and Lanzarote as a whole. The sea views really are unbeatable and both the kitchen, bedroom and balcony have wonderful views to the sea. The apartment is kitted out with everything needed to live comfortably for the week. The owner's customer service was excellent and he was well backed up by the local property management company. Our hot water broke during the week we were there; we reported it in the morning and it was fixed in the afternoon. A few people have commented on the steps... the steps are fine :-) ... I think you'll have steps pretty much anywhere you go in Puerto del Carmen! There's nice bars and restaurants on your doorstep - Spanish, English, Irish. The old town is 10 mins walk and the promenade via the Playa Chica takes you past some cafes with great views of the sunset. The beach is perfect. Shopping and supermarkets are all close, too. But it was never too noisy. It's easy to get buses, taxis or hire cars to further afield in Lanzarote. Would recommend a day out in Playa Blanca and the Papagayo beach. A really nice upgrade would be a better double bed. We pushed together the two singles and it didn't really work.

The apartment is clean, well equipped and located right in the centre of town. The complex is well maintained and secure and the outdoor swimming pools are also in great condition. The central location means that shops, restaurants, pubs etc. are all very easily accessed, the beach is directly across the road and a taxi rank is located just outside the complex. The “Old Town” is just a short walk away. The balcony has stunning sea views – an absolute delight. Late night revellers can disturb sleep but not every night and you need to accept it goes with the otherwise perfect location. The apartment owner offered a friendly, efficient and helpful service which added to the whole experience.
