I rented this unit for my son and daughter in law for one night for her birthday. Just one night for them to get a quiet night without their 1 year old son. DIL was in the hospital last year from complications from giving birth to their son. The hosts of this property knocked on the door and my son opened it. The host looked at him and profiled him as bad because he has tattoos. The hosts then came in to “water plants”. Then came in while the couple were out to dinner. Then came back a third time. Kept complaining about turning cameras off. The couple didn’t know where to turn them off! Also, because of profiling my son, they called the police on a standby!! The host wouldn’t get out of their vehicle to talk to me when I came there after my son called us. The couple wasn’t at the property for 3 hours and Vrbo would not refund my money! I would NOT recommend this Host to rent from. EVER!!!!!

The rental is Spacious and close to everything and the pricing is great. We were in town for a family emergency and had to work remotely and the internet was fantastic. The shower water pressure was also excellent. It made for perfect relaxing showers. My only complaints are that we are having to take a whole bag of trash 7 hours home because there’s no where to dispose of it on site. Luckily this trip we brought the truck but others may not be so lucky so keep that in mind if you’re booking. Also the queen bed was very firm. Great for those who like a firm bed but we struggled to sleep. All in all this is a quiet location and overall the comfort for not be home is just the reason why we book Vrbo so often. You can’t get this in a hotel and be comfortable with a family.

The place is very comfortable. After work it was a nice place to come back and relax. Lots of room in the home and back patio. I enjoyed our stay and will hopefully be back in the future.

There is a lot to see and enjoy at this place and we enjoyed our stay. We had a little issue with our reservation, but the owner went above and beyond to rectify the issue. Remember that this place was built in the 40s. Electrical outlets were not as plentiful then, and the architectural style was different than today. Don't expect a new 2020s style house! Enjoy the lighting and other fun surprises in this hone and you will have a nice stay. With that being said, the kitchen is new and very nice.

3 close friends and myself enjoyed a concert at the Buffalo Run Casino in Miami, (recommended if your ever in the area). This property was perfect for us in every way! From the decor, too the outdoor space it was an experience from the moment we stepped into the lobby. The beds are comfy, and clean, the location is quiet and peaceful. Great access to all sorts of food and entertainment. Thank you Kathrine for letting us enjoy your property!! Amazing!!

Comfortable, quirky piece of history with a fantastic location

I booked this place for a weekend getaway with my 14-year-old granddaughter, and we were both glad I did. I love unique places, and this was a perfect blend of history and modern convenience, not to mention a great value for the size of the space. All the little things you might need were readily available, including a fully stocked kitchen and bathroom. There were open areas to stretch out and catch up, play games, listen to music, etc. The back patio area looked amazing, but sadly it was just too hot for us to take advantage of it this trip. The bedroom where I slept was completely silent and I haven't slept so soundly in a long time. Communication with the host was topnotch. The weekend went by way too fast. I would definitely recommend!

This is an awesome venue for an event! We booked it for lodging. The listing says two bedrooms, which was a bit deceiving. There is one bedroom. There are air mattresses and you can move the tables in the room pictured with multiple tables and create a second bedroom of sorts, but only one actual bed. The said mattress we used (provided by the venue) was nice, though. The seating in the main living area was from the correct era to match the venue, but the couch was unable to be used as the bottom had completely fallen out on one side and another chair was the same way. Please don't expect to arrive and instantly sit and relax as guests are asked to set the temperature to 85 in the summer upon leaving, so it is uncomfortably warm. We had to turn the AC down and then leave for dinner to allow the space to cool before being able to enjoy the space. Once it cooled, though, it was comfortable. We really enjoyed the outdoor/patio space. It is a nice area. The cool architectural details in the space were very fun. We looked forever for the password to the WiFi that was supposed to be on the kitchen counter, but found it in the front of the guest signing book in the living area. Our stay started out rough due to thinking we had two bedrooms and finding out that one of us had to us an air mattress and we had to set up that space in the heat, but because it was a quality air mattress and we elected to wait until after dinner and the air conditioning had a chance to catch up, we ended up enjoying our stay. Really recommend for an event venue, and is great for lodging if you are aware of the fact that there is one actual bedroom and if you are willing to move stuff around and use (quality) air mattresses that are provided.
