We stayed at this rental unit for just a short time, but it was plenty of space for our families (8 people total). The kitchen was fabulous and well stocked and there was plenty of dining seating available with two large dining tables. The living area and king bedroom upstairs were huge, and the bathrooms were clean and had enough towels and even some cute little soap/shampoo/conditioner. Note that the pictures in the listing must be old - there is now a large leather sectional in the living room which seated all of us at once, and the bunk room was set up differently. Something that was a bonus for us: the entryway had enough space for our boots and ski gear (we left skis outside, but boots etc came in with us). ). Also, at the time we rented, not all windows had shades (or functioning shades), which I didn't love since it was a shared property... especially for the first floor bedroom. Finally, the bunk room was a bit small but we managed. The "double sofa bed" in there was a futon that would fit one adult or "maybe" two small children. Definitely not two adults so consider that in your bedding calculations. I will note that the people downstairs were around (not sure if they live there or were other renters), as we would see them come and go. They did have a dog which we didn't' see but did hear from time to time (mentioning in case you might not want that Overall the place fit our needs and made for a nice little ski vacation.

The house is very nice in a great location. Has a great area outside to just sit around a campfire. Steep driveway if going in winter. If you like blankets, bring your own. The biggest feedback I would give is cleaning the bugs out of the lights and one corner of the living room wall was covered with small black buds. Didn’t get close enough to see what they were. Overall I would definitely stay here again.

We did have to arrange parking one car somewhere else as they only had 2 spots. It seems like they could easily make a 3rd parking spot, plenty of grass and driveway without blocking the second unit. It says duplex but is a house with a basement unit. The renter/owner was quiet but did have large dogs off leash. I asked the children not to play in the grass because I didn't know if the dogs were friendly and I did see dog poop. I also smelled cigarette smoke near the basement door. This listing is specific for no pets and no smoking, so if you are sensitive to either, you might have issues. The windows were open on the ground level when we got there, I am assuming because they were trying to air it out. The bunk room upstairs probably needs to have some new mattresses or a deep clean. It smelled like old sweat, like a bunch of teenage boys sleep there usually. The shelves on the wall were half hanging and should probably be taken down. VACASA was quick to respond but give you very blanketed/big business answers. I asked about amenities, and got back a sort of snotty "per the listing" type response. Flying in from out of town with 3 children, I like to be prepared and sometimes things break and get replaced. I specifically asked if there was a coffee maker or keurig as from the pictures it was hard to tell. I did a target pick up on the way from Maine and got to the unit with my $36 in K cups to find a regular coffee maker. I am serious about coffee in the morning. We then had to go find a store in a very small town and we were late to an event. A member of our group left a jacket in the closet which either they didn't look for or maybe the cleaning people took because they said it wasn't there. They wouldn't contact the local office until charging my credit card $25 for the communication. We never got to the point of what shipping would have cost. I don't mind paying for someone's time, but given the lack of communication and that it was a large obvious item, it is hard to verify they tried. Overall the property was nice considering what is available in the area. It suit our needs with small children. If I was there to ski it would be nice to come back and relax in the open floor plan. Won't be renting from Vacasa again if possible.

We couldn't have picked a more ideal house for 6 of us to stay and explore the local area from. It was big and spacious with a a good supply 8f cooking utensils so cooking and entertaining each other was easy and there was lots of room for our big suitcases and to just spread out and be comfortable. The house was ideally situated for exploring Franconia Notch and also hopping over to Crawford Notch easily and was about 5 mins from shops in Franconia Village. The owner provided a nice array of high quality board games and books such as local hiking guides and maps, which we used in our day hikes. Highly recommend and hope to return again ourselves one day!

Property is in superb location for both accessing Franconia Notch State Park/Cannon Mountain and nearby towns (Franconia, Littleton, etc). Also, property also offers views of mountain and was comfortable lodging for my family throughout our stay.
