The screened-in patio has a lounge seating area and a four person dining table. There is an electronic keypad on the front door that will provide access to the home. We will send you the code prior to arrival. Guests have private access to the entire home and property. Our team will meet you at the ferry dock and bring your luggage up into the house (...you do not need to climb the stairs with heavy luggage with our team!...). Upon your arrival we will also give you a tour of the island, show you how to safely operate the golf cart and answer any questions that you may have. From there, we will leave you to peacefully enjoy paradise, the beach, and the amazing views, but we are always available to answer any questions or address any issue that arises during your stay. Simply put, we are here to make your stay perfect! North Captiva Island is a private island that has just over 350 houses. The island is extremely special with miles of beautiful beaches, world-class shelling, birding, fishing, and of course true relaxation. The whole island is only four miles long (and ½ mile wide at the widest part), but about half of the island is owned by the State of Florida and managed as a preserve that offers residents and guests miles of hiking trails and access to extremely remote and private white sand beaches. The island has three restaurants (serving casual snacks to full gourmet meals), an Island Market (not a grocery store, but has as few last-minute items), ice cream shop/boutique and an island store. Our island features golf carts and dirt roads only. This island is a very special and unique place, unlike any other vacation or have or will ever take… it is perfect for creating amazing memories that will last a lifetime. There are two public ferries that provide transportation from Pine Island to Upper Captiva (and back) throughout the day. Once you arrive at Upper Captiva, you will enjoy cruising around in our new lifted six seater golf cart!
