Great home for larger groups or reunions. 1st level bedroom, fireplace and outside shower.. Couches and chairs have stains, bathrooms were not clean, food was found in microwave upon arrival, kitchen door to deck was almost impossible to open. Lights in closet did not work, bed in downstairs bedroom was on concrete blocks. Overall this property was not inline with the rental price that was charged. We have stayed at numerous rentals and this was the most disappointing.

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was somewhat unhappy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I hoped that this rental would have been the perfect place for a working vacation. There was room enough for my family and a screened in porch to enjoy outside time. But, I knew the moment that I entered the front door that I was going to be disappointed. The house smelled musty and mildewy and did not feel clean. Many surfaces, including the dining room table and floors, were sticky. We had to clean everything before we used it. There were dirty dishes in the cabinets. The carpets were very stained. Most of the furniture was worn and stained. The whole house is infested with ants. We could not get the tv to work; thank goodness he internet worked so that my husband could at least watch football on his iPad. Many of the windows did not have curtains or blinds, so we felt exposed when we were in those rooms at night. The screened in porch had holes in it, so we were not protected from mosquitos. The yard is not pet or child friendly because it is full of burrs, poison ivy and goose poop. I hoped to be able to go for walks, but the road does not have sidewalks or a shoulder so it was not a very walkable area. We were required to vacuum and sweep the entire house before checking out, but the vacuum cleaner was in pretty bad shape and it took two people over an hour to clean and vacuum. Overall, we were disappointed in this rental.

The only issue was the large amount of dog hair in the home. Other than that, we had a wonderful stay!

Super glad to be able to have part of our fur family along, did have issues with the sand burs in the lawn, ouch!!

The location is good in that it is quiet and away from traffic. The rental management staff were very helpful in resolving an A/C issue with a previous rental property. If we vacation in Chincoteague next year, we will most likely consider "A Summer Place" or the availability of a comparable rental.

Reviewer Comments: Chincoteague Island never disappoints but this house wasn't our favorite. It wasn't very clean and one of the bathrooms smelled like urine all week, even after we scrubbed it ourselves.

It is very large and has plenty of furniture It has some water views and there is a balcony off one of the upstairs bedrooms. Unfortunately the screened porch is on the front of the house so you cannot see the water from there. It is well equipped, however we had to wash everything that we used as nothing seemed to have been washed; dirty pots, stained coffee cups that washed clean. We had to call the day that we arrived to have the bathrooms cleaned It is advertised having 2 futons for the bed listing but one is on the front screened in porch.

We just about lived on the screened in porch. It is a great vantage point for bird watching.
