Our family appreciated the large communal areas in this property with the close access of the Wildlife Refuge, Lighthouse, and beach. We enjoyed having Thanksgiving in this new setting with appreciation for nature and the lovely weather that invited running, walking, and exploring. Many unique birds were spotted and the museums/visitor centers had fascinating opportunities for learning and shopping.

Loved the central location - easy and quick to get anywhere on the island. Pool was very clean and relaxing.

The property was nice, the pool was awesome. We spent most of the time in the pool. The street was a little busy, but easy to get to everything. We opted for the linen package and they were in closed bags waiting for us. It was nice to have the bedding and towels provided.

I love Chincoteague, but staying at Black Skimmer made our vacation so much better! The house was beautiful, clean, had everything we needed, and the POOL was an added bonus! The property management was available for anything we needed and very helpful! We are definitely looking forward to another stay next year!

We had 10 people including 6 adults, one infant, and 3 toddlers. Everyone loved the pool, and the pool table and game room upstairs. There were just enough beds for everyone and I really loved having the separate space for one of the families!

I do not recommend this property to anyone. I received a confirmation from Vrbo (and paid for it!) and after a few days received an email from the property manager cancelling it and refunding part of what I have paid. Since the property manager never cancelled it here on Vrbo I was not refunded the service fee they charge for the reservation. I am currently disputing the refund through the credit card company.

This property was perfect. There was plenty of space. The pool was really nice, and I believe it is salt water. Quiet neighborhood. Very close to the water. I liked the compound feel, since we are supposed to be socially distancing.
