Excellent hotel in a prime position on the banks of the River Yarra facing the city, we enjoyed our stay. It's a big hotel, unlike its equivalent in Sydney, and lacks that hotel's personal touch, but it would be my choice for a return visit to Melbourne. Cleanliness couldn't be faulted, and everything worked in the room. We had breakfast daily and it was fairly routine, which was disappointing, and I can't rate the restaurant as we didn't dine there.

Opulent front rooms but the bedroom is dated with cheap and ugly furniture. Not a warm welcome at the desk, absolutely no amenities of any kind, very impersonal. Some staff very nice and helpful which was appreciated. Concierge inexperienced.

Fantastic hotel from the moment our foot step inside this wonderful hotel special thanks must go to Peter head of concierge who did so much for my family even before we had arrived and then through out our stay Fantastic staff throughout the hotel from the Avia bar and restaurant to the outstanding breakfast fare in the Melba restaurant we will definitely be making a return to this hotel Thank you again from myself and my family

3 night stay in Melbourne before we left for a cruise to New Zealand. Hotel is great. Location, fantastic breakfast. My wife is Vegan and they even made her vegan croissants every day!! It looks like the last remodel was 20 years ago in the rooms. So those def need an update. Still 5 stars

I stayed at Langham Melbourne for 6 nights. It’s the perfect location to walk anywhere or catch public transport. The view of the city and river is beautiful from the rooms. The staff was so friendly and helpful, the food was excellent and the spa was wonderful. I’ve stayed at other Langham hotels but the staff here — especially the bell service when you enter and leave the hotel — are the best. I highly recommend!

We got upgraded to the river corner rooms and they were a good size with big windows. We enjoyed using the pool and steam rooms. It was also nice to be able to walk to restaurants. My only complaint is the cleaning staff kept forgetting to top up or replace things when they service the room - coffee capsules, tea bags, rubbish bin liners, etc..

The hotel itself was quite nice with good amenities and location. The staff were very helpful and pleasant to deal with and the room service breakfast was good. What was not good was locating another guest’s pubic hair on the bath mat when I went to have a shower. Guest services sent up a new bath mat when I called about this. The bathroom itself also had hair from another guest over the floor. From a cleanliness perspective I expect more from a 5 star hotel. While the hotel sent up a new towel, I probably would have expected something more than that as an apology in this situation such as a small gesture of goodwill e.g. dining credit or similar. Overall did not meet my expectations of a 5 star hotel.

The hotel looks very tired but well maintained. Very dingy rooms and needs a good lick of paint. But it is very well maintained but looks it’s age. It’s difficult to have a drink because there is nowhere to sit as the tables are booked and it looks like people settle in forever. We came back after dinner looking for a night cap and we were turned away. Parking under the hotel was $70 overnight and you self park. A bit outrageous.

My score resulted from not being informed of my vip benefits. It was not until i was checking out that was I reminded of my $35 benefit as I had had one item my mini bar ($7 kit kat). Also went to the bar, minimal beer choices. I can only assume that from the extensive wine selection that craft beer or microbrews do not fit with their usual clientele. None the less the property was beautiful, clean and staff were very professional and friendly.

This is one beautiful hotel. Everything about the Langham is perfect - the location, the food, staff, the facilities and of course, the rooms. We had a stunning river view room with a king size bed and espresso machine. 12pm check out and a divine breakfast served to us in our room. The staff were so friendly and went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable. We just love the Langham.

Lovely hotel, great location, very friendly helpful staff. Only 3 stars due to hugely uncomfortable bed (far too soft) and all the chairs in the room were very uncomfortable. No replacement coffee pods during a 3 night stay. Why change the bedding after 2 nights??? These big hotels need to look at their policies regarding changing bed linen and towels. Should have been a 5 star stay, sadly it was not.

This was our second stay at the Langham, first was before Covid. It’s a beautiful hotel however the service IMO has gone down hill. Broken coffee machine, lightbulbs not working, sink stopper removed(yuk) and left out never replaced. Personal items missing-nothing valuable but annoying. No response to my husband’s email observations to management. The breakfast buffet is wonderful . Location is excellent. Don’t know if we’ll stay there next time.

Housekeeping staff were truly fantastic, and the reception team on the night of my arrival were super lovely too! Front desk staff during the day not so much - Their attitude was a quite a stand off-ish, and they made it seem like they felt that they had better things to do than answering a few quick questions. Having stayed at the Cordis hotel in Auckland previously - The hospitality and level of care that the Auckland staff provided beats Melbourne hands down. The Melbourne property could definitely do with an update too - A lot of wear and tear in the room, gym and pool area. The entrance and foyer are spectacular though. Overall it was a decent stay with a excellent location, clean/comfy bed, and a great view - but I will probably stay elsewhere on my next visit to Melbourne.
