This was definitely not an 8.0 hotel stay. Right off, no working pool or hot tub as was advertised. When I asked the front office staff said it hadn’t worked since she started 1 1/2 months ago. Front restroom was also out of order. And our room smelled overpowering strong of fragrance to overcome other dirty smells.

Room was comfortable, building seemed run-down, indoor pool not open and way too expensive for what it was.

Bathroom sink wouldn’t drain. Toilet wouldn’t flush. Shower smelled like chlorine. Panel in the ceiling was falling out. Complete joke, even for a 1 start hotel.

AS a former MALOOF COMPANIES ( bulider of property and initial owners ) empoyee. I was glad to see the property fully restored to its initial greatness .The Sally Port Inn was our meeing place and conference area for the beer distribution arm of the company. That being said.
The rooms were cold .The atrium was even colder ,the atrium leaked onto the walkways .Not one person even tried to mop .The water came into our room by the window ,making our feet even colder ,there seemed to be no one there after 1000 oclock .
There was not a coffee maker or cloths iron in room 120 .The ice tasted like the filters had not been changed in decades .There was no one to shovel snow at the entryways . That should be priority ONE .My wife almost fell last night and myself this morning .
I expect that for a 40 to 50 dollar a night hotel but not for 100 a night ..
Very very very unimpressed..Ill not be staying there again .
Slow business is no excuse for NO business..
Its too bad ..
The SALLY PORT INN was a great destination.
CLARION Sally Port is NOT .

The staff were friendly and accommodating. On the other hand, we had planned to use the pool but it is closed. Furthermore, the continental breakfast consisted of toast, cereal, waffles, and coffee. We were a bit disappointed with the state of the amenities overall.

We booked and paid for this hotel a month in advance of the eclipse weekend - a very busy weekend. When we went to check in, we were notified that they no longer accept bookings from third party sites. Although they were notified by Expedia, they did not notify us of their new policy. All the hotels in town were booked by then. We were so upset! We will not ever stay in this hotel, even though it is next door to our son's school.

Furniture was old and chipped bathroom was in the same condition

Large, busy hotel. Some issues we ran into:
-Back door -electronic lock not working
- one ice machine not working
- Hot tube not working !
- poor lighting in parking lot - possible security issue

We were just stopping over for a night while traveling south. We arrived later in the evening and kids just needed to sleep. Otherwise, I would have left to find a different hotel. The front desk clerk was polite and helpful when checking-in. It was down hill from there. The entire corridor to the room smelled of pot. Entering the room it was dirty. There were only two towels despite the reservation being for 4 people. The bathtub enamel wasn’t just warn but actually flaking off in chunks. There was a significant layer of dust on most items in the room. The ice machines weren’t working, the hot tub wasn’t working, and the pool was frigid. Also, no pool towels. I gathered there was shortage on personnel and linen was rationed. I wouldn’t recommend this location even for a quick sleep.

Hot tub out of order, ice machine out of order, fitness room’s electronic equipment out of order, both room keys inoperable. Tub was moldy and paint was chipping on tub walls.

There was only a lackluster breakfast, because we stayed over the Christmas holidays, but I don't think that is an excuse. There were only some cold hard boiled eggs, the fruit basked was empty. There was some waffle batter, which helped a little. The room was ok, but the hot water was only lukewarm

Friendly staff, very helpful in getting us an accessible room for my in-laws.
Not much of a breakfast, but not bad.

Evening check-in attendant was very nice and helpful! Our room was clean and very spacious. Nice quiet hotel, especially for being on the main street in town. The only downside was that the side door lock did not work and people were laying gravel down to keep it from closing all the way.

The staff were very nice. The room was okay until we went in bathroom and saw leaking ceiling. We were on bottom floor. Housekeeping should have reported a long time ago and maintenance fixed. It was sold out so no new room for us. No showers either.

Pool was not available, they said it was under maintenance...breakfast was not up to par. Limited items available. The employees made excuses, no results.

The woman at the front desk was very courteous and went the extra mile to try applying my AAA discount. Pool area was nice but pool was closed for cleaning.

Staff were very sweet and the room was huge and clean. Definitely worth the money.

The location was ideal for my trip's purposes.
The room was up to the standards I expect from this chain.
The plumbing needed some work. Without using the shower head, water came out fast enough to build up and eventually drain slower. The single handle for hot/cold results in it getting loose as people try tilting it. The screw in the handle needed tightening. The ambiguity of where to set the handle for hot water resulted in a cold shower until I gave it one last try and found the hot was there and capable.
Signs were prominently and frequently to prevent any smoking. This didn't stop guests from smoking weed, then later tobacco around late night hours. Also some guests coming in were loud (our room was near the lobby entrance). If it weren't for the guests, our stay would have been much more pleasant.
The WiFi wasn't reliable to connect to for all our devices and I had to cheat copying the base part of the login URL to get a page to enter the password printed on the key card holders. Ethernet was available and I wish I had brought my adapter as the WiFi did drop when streaming video.

I liked how quite the area around the rooms were. Very peaceful.
