Had a great stay. The bile and the other staff are always so helpful which is why we bring our tours here every year. They helped with restaurant choices, rooming changes and even a van to the airport one time. And, um, THEY'RE ACROSS THE STREET FROM THE BEACH!

The hotel is conveniently located directly across from the beach and near other amenities. Security is good and everything is top notch. The elevators are a bit smallish and the private parking is at additional cost and not covered but is secure. Overall an excellent hotel in every way and included breakfast is amazing! Great pool area as well. Highly recommend and we will likely stay there again.

I enjoyed staying at this hotel. It was quiet, and it is situated near North Beach, which is quite nice. Also, the breakfast was great.

This is a really nice place, especially at the price point. The rooms are comfortable, though they could use a bit of updating. The breakfast is outstanding, and you get greats views from the 11th floor while eating. The staff are excellent…very attentive. The location is very convenient to the promenade and beaches. All in all a great option.

Service staff were very good and rooms were cleaned daily. Spacious rooms, comfortable bed, great shower and lovely views. Very convenient for the beach. It can get noisy outside the hotel at night which is disturbing. Overall a nice stay.

Here and there we could recognize, that the hotel has already some years under its belt, but our rooms were clean and well equipped. Renovation works are in progress. We liked the parket flooring in the rooms, the large selection of different pillows and the good breakfast. A big thanks to the great front desk staff, especially the lady who checked us in - she literally went the extra mile for us.

Nice, spacious, updated rooms. The property is steps from the beach. Breakfast was pretty good. I even extended my stay for three more days.

Belaire Suites is a good option for those looking to stay at on the beach in Durban…rooms were clean and comfortable but a bit dated (the hotel is in the midst of renovations so this may improve going forward) breakfast was great and the breakfast area had great views of the Indian Ocean and Durban…the elevators were extremely aggravating however and the breakfast area is on the 12th floor…the restaurant bar was good and had excellent happy hour deals…overall a pleasant stay and a great option for the Durban beachfront

The carpets stink and the room is stuffy. I had to check out in 30 minutes. Asked to switch rooms and the staff offered no assistance. When I was checking out, they did not bother to ask what the issue. The images on Expedia and star rating is not representative of the hotel. I checked out and checked into Southern Sun which was more affordable and up to par.

Please don’t show the renovated images as this is false and misleading advertising, I wasn’t happy however the staff were amazing and friendly. Please change the floor and walls it was a disappointing experience for me the restaurant was amazing as well.

Didn't like the hotel didn't allow late checkout to facilitate late traveler free of charge. I was charge for late check out for the first time in my life.

For any hotel I have certain expectations, that there is a bed, internet, ... The first room didn't have any internet. After a day of wasting time, we had to move, but the internet was still non-existent. Went downstairs 3 times, called numerous times, he spent time on my laptop and gave up. This seems to be the normal, they can't bother to fix their system. Deal breaker for me.

We stayed for four nights . The service was good Staff was friendly. Housekeeping was excellent. Breakfast was very good with a wide selection to choose from. The waiters were excellent , always at hand to remove used items and clearing the table. They also were eager to take your beverage orders. Only downside is that the rooms can do with a facelift. The floors look old and in need of renovations. It may have seen better days . Parking cost R 65 .00 per night. To enter the parking area you have get out of the vehicle to press the buzzer although one has the option to the hire the remote.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was really good. A bit more emphasis on halal options prepared completely separately will see the hotel getting happier guests...overall though all good. The hotel was clean and housekeeping provide an excellent service. Will return.

The property is deteriorating, roudy crowds during the night and early hours of morning. No respect that other guest are sleeping or relaxing. Towels have a stale smell. Hotel needs an upgrade, relook at breakfast menu and more appetising meals. Great staff attitude in all areas, always eager to assist.
