The room was in itself okay, but there were multiple factors that made this an overall unpleasant stay.
1. The bathroom smelled of sewage 24/7. In a hope to clear the smell I had the door constantly open, to no effect.
2. The room was unusually hot and the AC didn’t work. It was like if the AC was stuck on warm without even being turned on, and turning it on, with the lowest setting, did nothing. Mind you, this was not in the warm season, the weather was quite mild.
3. Staff was, in my opinion, very “shy” and not very welcoming. I do not know if it has something to do with me being a foreigner, but I just didn’t feel a warm welcome at all.

The property was located quite close to the Sendai train station, which is very convenient. The room cleanliness is satisfactory with some room for improvement. The staff are nice in general but may lack a bit of experience and professionalism. The onsen was surprisingly good - it was spacious and clean.

Can’t control the AC or heating. Mold on the walls. The room is too small. I couldn’t even open my suitcase.

Good place, no fuss, has a nice onsen. Will stay again.

We booked a room for 2 for our new year trip to Sendai. Me and my wife were super surprised when we entered the room. It was super small than in the pictures. The problem was with the bed; it really cant have 2 people sleeping on it. This was so disappointing. We decided to pay more and move to another room (Only twin room available, unfortunately). The room was decent enough.
What made me disappointing was when they informed me that water Bottles couldnt be given because ours is a one night stay. This is the most ridiculous thing I ever heard as they are handing over to guests at the reception. Atleast Hotels.com should have highlighted that before I booked the room.
Overall we were un happy!

Small, cramped room, but it basically had everything we needed for a one-night stay. The main issues were cleanliness (there was someone else's hair all over our comforter) and comfort (the pillows were basically thin mats and were extremely uncomfortable). I have previously stayed at less expensive hotels that met these basic expectations, so I felt like we wasted our money on a disappointing night's sleep.

Everything in this hotel is modern in terms of design, but the room is just too small - it was difficult to even open a suitcase without having to lean against the wall. The bed was rock hard and pillows uncomfortable. It’s a good 8-10 minute walk from the station. Hot spring was nice and the check-in staff was super friendly but would not spend more than a night here.

Pillows are a strange plastic, similar to a kitchen sponge, thin and uncomfortable.
Bathroom toilet bidet was broken.
Air conditioning controls didn’t function, central heat continued to blow all night (warm night) and had to open the window.

Considering the price, services, facilities and location is perfect. And also very nice janitors.
However the inner restaurant is quite expensive.

It is a good experience to stay at this hotel while it is good and convenience.
Only about 8 mins to walk form Sendai Station and Mid town shopping centre. Suggest to visit the Sendai Morning Market which about 5 mins from the hotel open every morning.

The hotel was great with a sizeable onsen facility. It was well doctorates and well maintained. However, the room is slightly too tiny, it was difficult opening my luggage in the trim and the hotel is slightly far away from the Sendai Station with around 7 to 9 walking distance.

Everything was fine. We appreciated convenience (close to station and Tohoku Dai), the onsen, and the breakfast buffet. The staff was pleasant, efficient, and professional.

As a foreigner, Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were fairly clean and decent. I even had left one of my possessions on accident in their hotel after I had checked out and called them about it in which they were able to have it shipped to my address as I was staying within the country.

Great location, only 12 min walk to train station and shopping/restaurant areas. Great price, too. Very nice, clean rooms. Only drawback was - Too small rooms/bathroom especially if you compare to US hotel rooms.

The AC did not work , and it got super warm in the room. The windows barely open. Otherwise it was a good experience. The heat made it impossible to sleep.

Stayed at APA Sendai Itsutsubashi for three nights. Everything was satisfactory for the price. I enjoyed Onsen very much. The view was great from the 22nd floor where I stayed. I was looking down the city of Sendai. Also sunrise was beautiful. I loved Family Mart (a convenience store at the entrance level. It was really convenient.

The overall comment is good although the room is rather small. The position is good and easy to access. However, there is room for improvement for the cleanliness of the room. It seems that the amenities are old. It is rather odd to have coffee without coffee-mate. Besides, I think it is better to let customers have the choice of cold or warm air-conditioning. It is good to shorten the check-out time by inserting the keys in the express checkout box.

Easy to locate the hotel after arriving Sendai station.
However is a little walking distance (10min-15min walk) to shopping area.
Room ok for single with no big luggage.

Accommodating for my special need at check-in. Restaurant in the hotel was very good. Nice staff but disappointing amenities and cleanliness (possibly due to aging building).

Located about 7 minutes from Sendai station. Great area. Lots of things to do in surrounding area. Great places to eat. Easy to find and walk to....straight down the road Sendai Station is on. Very nice staff. Will stay here again.

The hotel is really nice especially on the outside facade. The location is quite near to the major shopping district and to the main train station. It is also an ideal place since there's a convenient store in the building grounds and a near by grocery and food chain (Yoshinoya- just few blocks away). The room is a little small but it has a complete set of major personal tool and equipment as well as bath tub and a common Onsen area which is a plus point.
