I booked this location for a 1 night stay during my drive into the area. I received official confirmation for my booking. Shortly after I was contacted by the hotel to go ahead and cancel my booking as it was no longer available. It was so unprofessional to not even try to find any form of accommodation or connect with Expedia to properly handle the matter. I contacted Expedia directly and Expedia apologized multiple times regarding how the matter was handled by the hotel itself. This has happened to me in the past and it's never been a "go figure it out yourself" response from any establishment. Truly left a bad taste for the lack of care for someone traveling on the road and needing a place to rest their head.

Our room was in a separate house with four rooms, two of which were suites with their own private bathrooms. We shared a bathroom with other family members and it worked out great. Clean, simply furnished rooms with a comfortable queen bed. Our room had an amazing view of Denali if it had been clear. The shared bathroom was clean, had big, soft towels and all the necessities. The guest in the upstairs suite had a balcony & the day before we arrived, she had a picture perfect view of Denali at 11 pm and took an equally amazing photo. Downstairs is a couch, table for 8 and a breakfast bar next to a fully stocked kitchen. Friendly owner Bill put out a great compliment breakfast (wife Grace made a delicious blueberry banana bread) and we enjoyed meeting other people staying at the B&B. There’s a nice & big wood deck off the kitchen that would be nice to use in warmer weather. The B&B is about 4 miles off the road to Talkeetna in a sparsely populated area and up a hill on a quiet, secluded, beautiful property. It’s close to 7 miles from the cute little town of Talkeetna.

This place was very clean but it did smell musty. The breakfast was cold but ok. The b&b was far from anywhere which might be what people want. Very nice view. The room was very quiet. Bill was very sociable. Great for an overnight.

This is billed as "Grace and Bill's" but it's really all Bill. Grace is a nurse and still has a day job. Bill is gregarious, opinionated and well traveled. rooms 1-4 and 6 are nice. don't take #5. it's across the street, an appendage of Bill's house; way too small; not well tho't out; no place to sit (futon has severely angled seat-very difficult to stand and very uncomfortable to sit.) so you sit on the bed. with a bit of tho't, there could have been room for a chair or two. NO VIEW from #5 if you're stuck in #5, book elsewhere. stay in one of the other rooms and you'll probably be happy. breakfast ok, but nothing hot except the coffee and toast. homemade blueberry bread

It is a quaint B&B. Bill was was friendly and a good host. The homemade breakfast bread and fruit that I had each morning was delicious. The view from the back porch is spectacular! We enjoyed our stay at Grace and Bill’s Freedom Hills.

Omg! Loved Bill and Grace’s place !! Bill himself was there to setup the breakfast for us with Grace’s homemade bread and a lot of other options !! He is very knowledgeable and gave us great advice and recommendations for the things that we could do it Denali and on the way ! Thank you Bill! Regards

It's a B&B. You got share the bathroom with other guests. And it's kind of far from the town, but this is Alaska.

Room was clean and comfortable, Bill was fun to talk to, huge deck with an amazing view, but the bugs were so bad we couldn't enjoy it. Breakfast was disappointing. Just cereal, toast, fruit, banana bread, coffee and orange juice. A little protein, such as yogurt, a hard cooked egg or peanut butter would have been nice. Free Wifi is included, but no TV. There was a deck of cards in the room, but a board game would have been fun. Might also consider having a can of bug spray for guests to use. Ending on a positive note, the towels and blankets were super soft and fluffy!

It had a beautiful view of Denali and mountains on the hill. The room odd shaped and bathroom was small. Breakfast was okay. Owner was super nice. If for some reason you need good WiFi this would not be the place. We should have chosen a place in town in Talkeetna. Otherwise, it was average.

We loved the location, a short drive from the well travelled path so it was very quiet and close to nature. The view of the mountain range was spectacular! The small downside is that there is only one shared bathroom in the bed and breakfast.

Easy to find, very clean and comfortable perfect after a long day of driving. The view from the deck or even the window of unit number 6 was spectacular! Bill found us at breakfast and was a super pleasant host!

Grace and Bill's Freedom Hills was a real hidden gem! Bill was in communication with us shortly after we booked. He sent specific directions for how to get to the B&B and also on what to do once we arrived. The room (#4) was spacious, the bed was comfortable, and the private bathroom was well stocked with supplies. (Note - not all the rooms have a private bath.) The best thing about the room was the amazing view of Mt.Denali from the bedroom window! This was our last night in Alaska, and we had only seen a cloudy partial view of the mountain up to that point. We were very fortunate to wake up to a beautiful, clear day with a spectacular view of the mountain! There is also a large deck on the house with the same amazing view for those who don't stay in room #4. Bill greeted us in the morning with a self-serve breakfast of coffee, tea, various cereals, bagels, bread, fruit, and Grace's delicious blueberry banana bread. He was a very interesting host, with many stories to tell. We thoroughly enjoyed his company and our stay at the B&B.

We have never stayed at a B & B before, but it felt weird walking into a house without knocking (as we were instructed to do). Our room was attached to the owner’s house and we could hear the family’s conversation through the walls. The room was very DYI and unfortunately, not done very well. We met Bill the next morning and he was very nice. Just a strange experience for us.

We chose this B&B due to the view. It did not disappoint!! Short drive to Talkeetna. Bill was fun to talk to as were the pther guest ar breakfast. The accommodarions were very comfortable. We atayed in room 4 which has own bath and entry.

We woke every morning to come down and find Bill was there with fantastic coffee and breakfast. We loved chatting with Bill and hearing all about the area. We had beautiful weather and the view was stunning. We had room one with the private balcony.

Very nice BnB. Bill is very friendly. The breakfast was good. Good view of Denali from the balcony in a clear day. It would be nicer if there were a small fridge and a microwave in the unit.

Bill was a great host and the views of Denali from the back deck are worth the trip alone! Bill also gave us a great hiking recommendation (Little Coal Creek) and had great information to share on accessing and enjoying Denali and the surrounding area.
