I am so glad I stayed here. It is a perfect location, with magnificent views of the bay from my room and from the public and private onsen. Breakfast was really good. All staff were very kind and friendly, and special thanks to the man on reception (so sorry I didn’t get your name) who spoke English really well. It is a bit of a walk from the railway stations (its about midway between Matsushima and Matsushimakaigan - about 18 minutes walk from each) but the walk from Matsushimakigan is prettier. The hotel does provide a shuttle bus a couple of times each day.

There are so many good things for me to say about this place. I specifically came for the room with a water view, and I loved every bit of it.The views were so calming, and I was able to watch the sunrise from my room.The staff were incredible; some of them spoke English and those that didn't tried so hard to accommodate me. I really appreciated them. There is also a private onsen you can book which is absolutely worth it. A standout moment was when the staff made a breakfast modification for me that I thought couldn't be made-- it was a wonderful surprise and made my stay all the better. So peaceful. So worth it. Also, everything is very walkable from the property.

Overall experience is good. However, the public onsen bath is too open and you can see the people working at the pier nearby. It is absolutely not good at the privacy.

Couldn't have asked for a more ideal location to view the bay and enjoy onsen. The toom was fantastic, with comfy chairs to relax in, while viewing the bay from my panoramic window in the room.

You get a free 45 min private onsen daily which is great -- but when I checked in it was already booked all morning. This was disappointing. Wish I knew earlier and I would have called or checked in earlier. Otherwise fantastic Japanese staff. Everyone was so kind and lovely!
