I was told the room I was given was a "receiving" room. All other rooms were booked, I believe. The phone did not work, the stove/oven did not work as well as a couple of smaller details. Since I was traveling solo, I was not really put out and sort of rolled with it. After checking out the following morning and waiting for transportation to the airport, I happened to meet Mr. Petty, the owner when I overheard him speaking with one of his grounds keepers. I introduced myself and we had a very pleasant conversation. He apologized for the inconvenience and the unavailability of one of the "regular" rooms which, actually, were very nice. He offered a full refund which I declined, but he insisted. It was a pleasure meeting Mr. Petty and being able to discuss without being confrontational. I would definitely return. Also, thank you to Nakyle for his assistance at the front desk.

The room was adequate and met our needs. However the walls are pretty thin and there was a TV on all night in the room next door which made it difficult to sleep. Breakfast was good and had a lot of choices.

Facility is pretty old and definitely needs renovations to be done. We reserved two double bed rooms and only got one. Pool was not clean on the last 2 days we stayed. Saw them renovating a room and carried 2 mattresses to it that were less than desirable. Lot of trip hazards walking around. Wifi was non-existent unless you went to the pool area. TV's were a problem. Some staff was nice and others were curt and short with any help needed. There was a lot of beautiful floral areas surrounding the place. It did feel relatively safe. Pictures on website are somewhat deceiving.

The property is located in a quiet place and easy to go downtown and beaches...night time one needs to be bit careful specially while walking downtown...else very nice...good food, lots of drinks...shopping places...overall a nice experience...oh one thing...carry cash as lot of the taxi drivers and eating places like shacks take only cash. Also, Amec CC doesn't work in most places...onlg visa, mastercard

We didn't have a cattle they gave us one. No hangers - requested and they gave us. It was noisy in the room they gave us another one with an upgrade. These people work hard. Overall we enjoyed our stay. It was pity to leave the Colony club. Thank you for having made our stay an awesome experience!

The room we stayed at had a mini-kitchen with a hot plate, a microwave and an electric kettle!, which was an unexpected and pleasant surprise! We were able to reheat meals and have tea. The rooms are small, but surprisingly well-appointed, and the entire area was very clean and welcoming. The hotel is within walking distance of a pretty nice beach and a bunch of restaurants. Great budget option for a Bahamian vacation!

The staff was helpful and accommodating. The comfort level of the room can be greatly improved. The reception area could use a more inviting outlook. The staff could be better trained to inform prospective guests of transportation options regarding pick up from the airport, rather than telling the guests we don’t have pick up from the airport. Overall, my stay was a pleasant one.

Hotel is located about a mile away from anything. The nearest eateries are in Arawak Cay. Didn't feel safe at night while coming down the road after dinner. No one walks on the road. The room was spacious, with good beds and bright lighting, but the good things ends there. The room service is horrible. Out of my 4-day stay here, a day passed when no one came to clean up the room. The other two days, I had to remind them several times to clean the room. The tea, Coffee bags, sugar, complimentary water bottles were not given and you need to ask for it several times at the reception and woe betides you if you return after sunset, when no one is present. You won't have anything. There isn't a single space for keeping your suitcases, no wardrobe to hang your clothes. Forget Wifi here. Goes off every 5 minutes and you need to relog and the bandwidth is in Kbs. You wouldn't use the soap bar provided for cleaning your shoes, it's of such a bad quality. No hot water in bathroom. The shower-head sprinkles in drops. The only saving grace is the Good Breakfast. Had a very bad time there. Spoiled our vacation

I didn't like that I had water in my bathroom for over 3 days all over the floor. I kept telling the maintenance and the staff abut this someone came looked at it told me it was fixed. come back in at night look down and see something shining on the floor and watering is dripping again all over bathroom and into the outer room. I slipped on the water so needless to say come until a day later so I did not enjoy that. Air conditioner went off guy didn't come until next day. I do think I should be reimbursed for some part of my bill because I had to take a shower in my brothers room for fear of slipping on water again. I will be reaching out to the cooperate office in reference to these matters, because it doesn't make sense to take people;s money and then nothing is working properly. When I write my review it will not be favorable unless some portion of my money is returned.

I loved the feeling of safety as the taxi pulled up and there was a large carved wooden gate which opened for you to gain entry. I loved the room and ability to accommodate me for my early morning departure. I would stay there again.

I had to check out on the 24th because it was raining and water was by the front of my door at about 6” I had to walk in the water in order to leave the room my feet was soaking wet not only that I was in a none smoking room and other guests was sitting in front of my room smoking I could barely breathe because I don’t smoke so I complain at front desk and nothing was done about it and tv wasn’t working also the air conditioning so I had no alternative but to check out before the schedule time it was too inconvenience for me so now I’m expecting a refund for 3 nights thank you

We loved our stay in both Clover and Buttercup rooms. The suites were spacious, clean and comfortable. They are actively renovating the property to make it even better. The staff was friendly and helpful. It is fairly close to fish fry but not much else in the area to get to by foot. The breakfast was limited but good. A restaurant onsite would be a bonus.

I prefer to stay out of the center of an area. This property was comfortable, clean and while a little off the beaten path it was walkable to downtown. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful.

I stay there for 3 night and i have to keep using the one diry towel for two days the day after i arrived one of the housekeeper come to ma room in the afternoon i told her that i only needed towels because i already uesd that one on the night of my arrival there was only one towel in the room and she didnt show up back with the towels i call the front desk 2 different times and still didnt get the towels is the day before i check out i went outside to ask someone for the towel and get it .. what kind of service it that i happen to work at a five star hotel so i know good sevice

no internet, the room is dirty, the breakfast is terrible, the bugs are walking around in the room, they come to clean the room, they fix the bedspread and leave, no linen change, the pool is small and there were people entering the pool with their dirty clothes, there was nothing around village life

I didn't like the fact the the local buses didn't run through the streets where the hotel was we had to always catch taxi which was very costly everyday. sometimes $30. both going and coming back to the room. Maintenance in the room need to be more tidy especially with cleaning out the bath. Further the internet was very low and kept dropping so if the internet was bad it made it difficult to watch the TV in the room.
