The hotel fits for this particular area. It is old, and it is Mexican. Most rooms do not have a window for starters. The rooms are small, so I would not bring a laptop with me. Plus an earlier review by someone else reported theft of some valuables (we did not have any incidents, but at the same time, we kept our Do Not Disturb sign on the door the entire three days of our visit). There are no glasses or cups in the room, no Kleenex, and no complimentary bottles of water (and you do not drink the tap water in Mexico). Just come prepared with the things you need and make this a memorable trip! It is close to the square that has lots going on, and the people are very friendly.

The hotel is very nice and within walking distance of their main plaza. Diana from the front office was very helpful and friendly. The complimentary breakfast was delicious and the staff very nice.

My husband and I visited beautiful Tlaquepaque for the first time. Hotel Puerta San Pedro is within walking distance to then main shops and restaurants. We felt safe walking the town. The place was very clean, quite and beautiful hacienda style. We had a wonderful experience and we highly recommend. Also, budget friendly.

Very good stay. Great breakfast on the rooftop.Five minute walk to centre. Comfortable room. Check-in was awkward. I had reserved 2 rooms for 2 couples in April. I had requested a ground-level room for the couple I travelled with as the gentleman required an oxygen tank and had difficulty with stairs. The receptionist said the room wasn't available. An hour later, the receptionist approached the couple and said the ground-level room WAS available. The couple had already settled in and declined.

This was a very nice hotel . However, we had a few issues. . . . .the internet did not work (a problem for us as we were on a business trip) and one of our rooms had NO HOT WATER. Not fun. The staff was great, the drop off parking (👍) was great and the lobby was really nice. But I doubt that I will return.

Rooms are extremely small with a very small window. If you are claustrophobic this is not a place for you, the only one that reasonable size rooms are the suite, but are not available via Expedia. Other couple reserve a day after directly from the property and was given a suite.. almos same price than the deluxe.. the place is run down a dirty, there were mice droppings in de bathroom and a dust covering every area. Sheets seemed clean but they were stained.

Very cute hotel at walking distance to the Tlaquepaque tourist area. The neighborhood is safe for walking. The staff was friendly and helpful. The complimentary breakfast on the top terrace was delicious and a great start of the day.

Staff were very polite and professional. Two different gals were great in helping me get taxi in different occasions for transportation around the city. Place is small but very cuddle. Breakfast was delicious and my server was great. Inside the rooms could use more detail in cleaning for those that are picky, but overall I had a wonderful stay at La Puerta de San Pedro hotel. Would definitely recommend.

The property is beautiful, with a historic feel. Staff is also extremely nice and helpful and the free breakfast is amazingly delicious!! The rooftop open setting for breakfast is great! If you’ve seen “Encanto”, this place will give you that feeling! It is a beautiful and typical “casona” style property that immerses you into Latin American culture.

It is tucked away in a quiet neighbourhood within walking distance to the main square. Well secured and we appreciated the secure parking. Staff is very helpful. There are many seating areas within the hotel to enjoy, along with a small swimming pool. Breakfast was also set in a very nice location and the food was good. Thank you to all who made our stay very pleasant.

The property was beautiful, clean, and quiet. All of the employees were very kind and welcoming. The breakfast that was included was delicious! Our car was parked in their gated parking lot which gave us peace of mind even though Tlaquepaque felt very safe. Overall great experience and would definitely recommend 100x over any big/expensive hotel chain.

Great service from the start. Host was quiet accommodating treated me well and answered all my questions. Room service was amazing with an open kitchen so late. My plane arrive late and was hungry they met my needs 100%, food was really good.
