The hotel staff was friendly, took their time with everyone. The rooms were very nice, the view was pretty good too. Bed was a little hard and the early morning cleaning crew was rough. But I really enjoyed my stay!

The staff is the friendliest of the casino hotels we've experienced and the hotel is very nice and comfortable. I loved the lighting in the room and the bedding.

What a beautiful hotel/casino! I was amazed at the view from the roof top pool. I will be back!

I love this place!!! Awesome location in the mountains. Staff were exceptional. I stayed 3 nights cause I didn't want to leave! The pedestrian pathway on the riverside is awesome!

Our stay was great!
we did have a problem with some property we left in the room in the safe. We were half way home to Greeley when we realized it. We called the resort and told them about it. They told us to come back to the resort which we did. When we got there we were referred to the manager of security who then told us we had to go to the police station to retrieve our property. Only to be told they couldn’t help us until next Tuesday. This was very frustrating. The security person that told us to go back to the resort should have asked what to do before making us make the trip back. We will have to another trip next week. I am asking to be compensated for the lack of knowledge on the part of the security team that created the confusion and the extra trips back to the resort. I am sure this is not the first time this has happened so this should have been handled differently.

The hotel was wonderful. The waitstaff service on the casino floor and behind the bars was the only thing I felt was very slow.

This hotel is beautiful however the pool was very dirty, and our bathroom has splatters all over the walls :/

Staff was rude and quite unhelpful. I spoke with the manager of the Hotel at the front desk - she could have cared less about the issues we were facing. Once in the casino, things changed - the Staff there and in the restaurant was grand. In the spa, we were not aware that our massage was the last appointment of the evening (7:45) and were told we needed to get out within 5 minutes - no shower, no time to clean up. The entire experience was unfortunate.

It was a great time but the fact that we showed up at 4 for checking and still had to wait 2 more hours before we could get a room is unacceptable.

We enjoyed the report itself. It was clean and the staff was nice. The bed was comfortable. However, in the casino we could not get drinks. Had 2 drinks from cocktail waitress over a 3 day period. The hot tub and pool had way too much chlorine in it which irritated our skin. We also did not like the spinach artichoke dip or the chicken strips at 24/7 restaurant.

Would stay there agian sonwtime pillows where to soft for my liking

Worse experience I have ever had at a hotel. They checked us in to a room that was already occupied! I had to get a new card several times! I can go on.

Check-in was easy breezy. Twenty Four Seven restaurant: the Avalanche Nachos could use more brisket, the pita chips with the spinach dip tasted like an old cupboard, however there were excess tortilla chips in the nachos to use in replace. I love that there are q-tips in the bathroom, however the shampoo and conditioner quality are lacking. The machines were loose enough to keep you engaged for a few hours. The view from the room is romantic AF! We slept with the curtain open all night and watched the snow fall. Last thing to consider: you can hear your neighbors across the hall cough from inside your room.

Very clean. Appreciated the security when accessing the floors via hotel room keycards. No noise from the casino areas or the elevators. Very comfortable bed. I'd stay again.

Nice hotel it was clean check in was easy, just dont expect hot water in the morning for a shower.

The in room hottube/jucuzzi that I paid a premium price for was broken. The hotel failed to rectify the issue.

The person at check in was not very friendly. The check in process takes way too long, and she charged us more for the resort fee than Hotels dot com (where we made our reservation) indicated we would be charged. The entire hotel is very electronc, with limited information and direction. Poor signage made just finding the lobby a challenge. If you like high tech situations, you will love the Monarch. If you are at all technically challenged, you wlll probably have a problem just trying to get an elevator to your room for the first time. Housekeeping is impossible! Difficult to communicate with and will ring the "door bell" early in the morning several times. No one told us, and there is no signabge in the room, regarding the button inside the door to push to deline maid service. I will never go back to the Monarch, there are several other hotel/casino/spa choices in Black Hawk and Central City. I look forward to giving one a try.

Our stay started good unti we checked in we wanted a bath tub and my girlfriend was not happy we called front desk from our room and they wanted to charge us a additional fee on top of what we paid for already they explained to us that they could not help because it was 3rd party so we tried to make the best of it thank you

The room was excellent! It was big and comfortable and clean. The restaurants and coffee shop however were nothing to write home about. And we couldnt get into the spa at all. But overall, our stay was comfortable

The room was put together well. I really enjoyed my stay. Not to noisy. Staff friendly.
Checkin took a little long due to 2 staff members checking in about 10 guest. The staff that was there too great care of me (and of course the other waiting guest). Friendly and professional!

The room was dirty and not cleaned well. Hair on the floor. Days worth of dust. The floor was not mopped well or at all. The AC in the main room did not work. For the best suite in Blackhawk, this was terrrible.

We had a get stay. Only issue the roof top pool was closed one of the two day we were there.

Fantastic rooms. Easy check in with kiosk. Fun casino with lots of slot options. Was a lot of people in the casinos at night. Very secure with their guest only elevators. Didn’t like how far parking was from hotel portion. Good food at Twenty four 7. Didn’t have the buffet. No birthday gift promotion.

Once we got the elevators figured out it was a good stay.

Service was abrupt and condescending, instead of polite.

We called ahead as it was for a birthday party and upgraded the room. The room had the wrong champagne, they said they’d have rose pedals laid out, but none of that happened.
Once in the room, it was nice, they had a complimentary room for upgraded guests for drinks and appetizers. What they didn’t say until you left was drinks weren’t free…so surprise number 3 of the trip.
Everyone passed the buck, check in folks, management as to who was responsible. Facts are we had 7 rooms that night to celebrate and the staff all said it was someone else’s job for anything we asked.

We love to go to the casinos when we go to Colorado each year. Last year we discovered The Monarch after staying at another casino resort years past. After last year we loved it and we will now do our annual trip to Colorado with a monarch stay.

Very nice hotel
However, there are issues with the housekeeping department. The 1st day I had to call 3x for them to clean my room.
The next day I paid for a late ck out (which was a nightmare to get). 30 extra minutes!
They keep banging on my doors dieting those extra minutes I had. Deferred the whole purpose of staying longer to enjoy the room.
Other issues, the manager lady at the form desk (her initial is K) to be polite I won’t put her whole name.
Extremely rude, not nice at all.
Even though we paid until noon (ck out time), the keys will not work by around 1130-1140am.
We had to go stay in line in order for them to reprogram them.
The front desk manager did not seem to care that I wasted an additional 25-30 min dealing with these.
We spoke with the GM (S). She was very nice and helpful/ understanding.

Why in the world was the outdoor hot tub closed in a mountain town??? It’s the reason we always stay at this hotel. Ruined our getaway!

Checkin was slow. Had to wait 45-60 minutes for our room. There is a panel near the front door that lights up. It would be nice to be able to turn it off or be able to cover it. My wife is light sensitive, so that was an issue when she was trying to go to sleep. Other than those two things the room was good.

Have stayed here 10÷ times and has always been quiet and relaxing. Again, requested a room away from the elevator at the end of the hall. This trip we were woken up all night by loud talking, screaming and banging n the halls by drunk obnoxious guests. Seems the type of clientele here has changed for the worse. Its really a shame.

The last time I stayed at the hotel I had to go two floors down to get ice. This time the plumbing was backed up in the shower and the bathroom sinks. I couldn’t use the shower before I left because the water from last night’s shower was still in the shower

Beautiful casino hotel with great amenities. However, check in process and navigating the elevator system is not the most pleasant experience. Pay attention to experienced guests, because the staff are not great at showing what to do.

Everything was great. The restaurants and buffet delicious. The hotel was clean and friendly.

We tried the buffet during our stay and for a little more than $65 per person, most of the food that was supposed to be warm or hot was cool, while the desserts that were supposed to be cold were warm. Also getting drinks took way longer than one would have expected based on the price of the buffet. Additionally, while the pools were nice, the hours for a family to enjoy them were extremely limited, as there is adult only hours from 7-10 am, as well as 6-10pm. Our room was great, and the bed was very comfortable, however one of our TV’s remotes didn’t work great, but we were still able to watch TV so that wasn’t that big of a deal.

It was great… the server for breakfast Marco was great

It was great ( robes, hot tub, buffet) other than the electrical situation that kept shutting off power in our room. The keurig wouldn’t work but a new one was replaced promptly.
