Please get your elevators working. It took forever to get in and out of the rooms. Plastic cups at the tables? And the food Asian place not good and the breakfast is not good. Just really has gone down hill.

Rooms were spacious and furnishings were comfortable.

The front staff was very professional and efficient. I greatly appreciated the $50 pre authorization on my Credit Card and not the $100 pre authorization that most hotels charge. The Hotel, Room, and Casino was clean and well maintained. The Penn Play Desk was very friendly, and the Staff Member explained the new promotion which I took advantage of and received a Camel Back backpack for. Overall it was a great Hotel & Casino experience hence the 5 Stars rating for them.
Sadly the only Restaurant open at the Ameristar is the Timberline Grill which was not 5 Stars. From the extensive wait for the Hostess to greet customers (she was busy chatting with the staff and then used the facilities without any consideration to the line of people at the door) to the slow waitress service (I was the waitresses only table), to the Chef not being accommodating (They had eggs on the menu and I asked for an Omelet which the Chef said NO to because they “stopped serving omelets at 11:00 ) With only 6 tables with customers in the entire restaurant at Noon on a Thursday, and only 2 tables / 3 people total who haven’t ordered yet, I thought they would make an omelet for me, but I was wrong

Great experience with our grandson at the pool. Hot tub was amazing. Thank you 😊

We had a nice deluxe king room. The coffee maker is definitely out dated and low budget. The toilet didn’t flush so we called the front desk. The maintenance person was there in minutes and fixed the problem. Super nice guy. We had a good time

Great views, great check in. Bed noisy as can be with even the slightest move. Pillows are comfy

Overall the stay was good. All but 2 of the elevators were down Thursday night which added up to a ton of standing around and waiting. The main purpose of my visit was to watch March Madness games at the sports book. Early Friday afternoon, all of the TVs went down. No update was given or explanation of what was going on. I waited for about half an hour before deciding to go elsewhere.

Beautiful room, very spacious and comfortable.

Room was clean and nice. Mid March, heat off, AC on and the room was still very warm. Not comfortable. Also strange that there were no 24hour food options for a hotel casino.

The room and staff were great. Restaurant for breakfast was awful - we were sure a microwave warmes up most of it.

What hotels.com failed to mention was the resort fee.My one day stay turned into $250. Very expensive and should have been disclosed. It was a surprise

Room was little run down. Beds were not very comfortable. Room was hot to sleep in and would not cool down even with thermostat set in the 50s. Second time staying here and having temperature issues in room.

Way too expensive for what you get! $300 for 1 night is ridiculous! NO WORKING AIR-CONDITIONING, NO STREAMING SERVICES ON TV, HORRIBLE LIGHTING IN BATHROOM. We'll be staying at Monarch or Lady Luck in the future.

The hotel is very nice, although it seems to be in need of a decorating update. The pool area, hot tubs and firepits were amazing.

Room furnishings are outdated and in need of renewal. Beds and bedding were adequate but interior to other hotels in the class in Blackhawk. Parking garage needs space painting.

Wonderful stay with every ammenity and comfort I was looking for and at times better than expected, perfect view from the room. 2days stay and we got to enjoy watching the Superbowl on the gaming floor, great employees, great service, great atmosphere, and the location to everything that Black Hawk has to offer- excellent.

Terrible beds. Complained atfter checking in and was moved to another room. That bed was just as bad. Asked to get a room with decent bed and was told there was nothing they could do. Complained to manger at check out the next day and she repsoned the only thing she cold do was refund the resort fee because I booked on Expedia. Asked for a future room comp or dsicount and was told no. Stay away if you want a good night sleep!

Check-in was ok -my room upgrade was not done and it took a little while to straighten this issue out. Given a regular room and had to move out of there after finally being given the correct suite.

The rooms and amenities are beautiful. The only unfortunate part about our stay was that they informed us that they “way overbooked” and we had to be put in a double queen instead of king bed on our anniversary which we had booked for a month in advance.

I booked a one night getaway for the pool, and I checked all of the pool details on their website. However, the pool was drained and not accessible. Extremely disappointing. The room smelled like tobacco, the room key didn't work and needed to be replaced, and the internet did not work in the room. I will stay at Monarch Casino instead the next time.

Very nice room. Love the big bathtub which is separate from the shower.
I asked about early check in since we got there at 1 p.m. I was informed for an extra $20.00 I could check in. I found out from a fellow tenant that free early check in starts at 2 p.m. Not a big deal but wish the check in agent would have let me know. Really enjoyed our stay though.

Very nice spa suite. We wish we would have been notified ahead of time that the pool was closed for maintenance.

Huge room, comfortable bed. Very luxurious.

I was surprised and frustrated to be woken up by hotel staff several hours before checkout, especially after a long and fun night enjoying the games.
