Lovely location.

The superior double was spotless and comfortable. The location was good, right by the river. Staff were very helpful. Would stay again.

Didn't manage to have breakfast as we needed to be elsewhere, so cannot comment.

The Swan by the Severn

The Swan was exceptional value for money in a stunning riverside location in this charming location. The staff were incredibly welcoming, the food was lovely and reasonably priced. The room with a river view was clean and very comfortable with a luxury feel ensuite.

Nothing - no car park but the staff gave up their roadside parking for me.

Beautiful views and stunning location and very friendly staff

Beautiful new renovation of our bathroom and bedroom. Wonderful large room and small pocket of the river view. Lovely clean room and nice hot drinks tray and selection. Lovely comfortable sofa to relax on with a cup of coffee in the morning.

Noisy !!! Band practice next door, permanent noise from the kitchen extractor and very draughty windows (bearing in mind it was -5 overnight!)

Ideal scenic and comfortable base in a well kept, traditional, historic inn for a relaxing break.

Friendly welcome. Well appointed room, which had recently been refurbished and had a lovely view of the river. Bed very comfortable with good quality white cotton bed linen. We met a group of friends in the evening for a meal in the restaurant - service was excellent and food 'good pub grub'.

Refurbished, beautiful bathroom with excellent shower but no extractor fan. and towel rail which we couldn't turn up to improve the heating. Fear that the newly decorated walls will soon deteriorate.

Great Find and Lovely Location

Location was great and such a beautiful spot. Room was a good size and well equipped. Staff were really friendly and particularly welcoming to our dog. Lovely spot to sit and have a drink near the river. Locals were friendly, too. Had a really nice burger there too.

Parking is a bit tricky but I did manage to get parked nearby. The bathroom is in need of a refurbishment.

A charming hotel in a lovely location on the river which occasionally gets too warm in summer.

The hotel was very charming, its location was lovely, and the staff members were very friendly and helpful.

Unfortunately, our arrival coincided with that of a heat wave. The poor air circulation and the unpleasantly warm temperature in the room made for uncomfortable sleep. Otherwise it was lovely.

Decent stopover, nice people.

From check-in to checkout this was enjoyable, apart from the stairs! Cheerful and helpful staff, wholesome food and a decent pint at the end of a long drive. Pity that it was pouring from the heavens as it would have been lovely to sit by the river with a drink and watch the world go by. Nice place.

Not their fault, but we're getting a bit too long in the tooth for steep staircases.

Great staff, great food and value for money.

Staff were excellent, fish and chips were amazing 😋location was beautiful but parking very limited. Had to park quite a distance from hotel, which made taking stuff from car to hotel very difficult along with 2 dogs.

Lack of parking and access to room 5 was a little tricky with bags and dogs.

Super friendly and helpful staff. I believe there's only 6 rooms at the hotel. But the staff showed us to our room and were very helpful and went the extra mile. Quirky Hotel, exposed beams and very picturesque. We ate dinner in the bar/terraced area, which was lovely, and very good value for money too. Dog friendly as well, which is great.

Nothing to complain about but just to say I wouldn't recommend this hotel for anyone with mobility issues, as the staircases would not be practically for you

The style of the Inn nice and easy beer kept perfect. food very good .

parking is a problem , being next to the river obviously reduced parking spaces. ( unless your on a boat) expect a 5 minute walk to park .

A great place to stay with helpful staff

Were directed to the top of the building and delighted to find we had not only a sizeable double bedroom but an extra surprise of a second room with settee and tv, plus a spacious bathroom and all 3 rooms with a lovely view over the River Severn. Very comfortable thank you, The staff were very helpful and friendly, and welcomed our dog too. We parked some way away in a public car park, but moved the car late afternoon when space became available for overnight parking outside the hotel. Nice walks from the Swan along the river bank, through to the fields, and close to all shops and restaurants in the great little town of Upton.

The cooked breakfast was excellent. The bed was really comfy, and the building had lots of character .

Bedroom 5 was like a sauna, we had to leave the window open all night.

Superb

The place had a lot of ambiance, right on the river. We were given a lovely bottle of Cava and chocolates as a surprise as we are newlyweds. The room was very clean and had loads of character. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The views over the river were lovely.

It is 400 years old, so the water took a while to run warm/hot...but they clearly explain this
