Nestled in Cayman Islands, this lovely house for $554 per night is a great choice for your next break. This upstairs beach front apartment at Featherstone is incredible. Beautifully furnished and with access to the most stunning private beach in the Brac. The 2 bedroom apartment is well appointed and shares the private beach with the other 2 units. Other communal items include laundry room, games room, hammocks, bikes, kayak, ping pong table, BBQ area and fire pit. Featherstone Estate is on the north coast of Cayman Brac, just a 15 minute drive from the airport. Comprising of 3 separate units on 1.2 acres with a beautiful private beach this is the perfect place to get away from it all. This Apartment is upstairs in the main building and has a large open plan living room with dining table, seating area and fully appointed kitchen. One of the sofas converts into a full size bed. The master bedroom has a queen bed and huge bathroom with double vanities, a bath for two, a huge walk-in shower, toilet and bidet. The second bedroom is across the balcony and has a bunk bed sofa that converts into a full below with twin above. This room has a half bath (although shower will be added in early 2024). A baby monitor is available on request. There is a full wrap around deck with dining table and hammock. This Apartment sleeps 7. The Apartment shares a huge, pristine private beach with the other 2 units (The Downstairs Apartment and The Cottage). You will find sun loungers, chairs, hammocks, a fire pit (and wood) and a BBQ area. There is a dock to make getting in and out of the sea easy. In addition there is a games room stocked full of board games and books as well as snorkel and fishing equipment, and volleyball/badminton gear. Behind the games room is the ping pong table. There is also a 2 man kayak and a selection of bikes to use. Finally there is a laundry room with washer and dryer. There is everything you need for a perfect secluded get-away in paradise. Staying at a local's place was the right choice rather than a "resort" / hotel. We wanted a place on the water with a balcony where we could cook. There were a few things that we liked / was disappointed in with Featherstone: What we liked: The views were great. We were glad we choose the "top" of the house as downstairs you could hear a lot of noise. We enjoyed the hammocks both on the beach and our private deck. The wifi and laundry options were wonderful to have on site. What we didn't like: The kitchen was really grimy: it needed a good wash down. When we arrived the dishwasher and garbage can was full. We told the housekeeper on site this and she said "I know" and walked away. Weird. We emptied the dishes, took out the trash from previous guests. They gave us 2 towels for a week's stay. And the bed had one sheet on it with no covers. Good thing we were able to take what we needed from the storage area below. On a "down" night when we wanted to stay in, we couldn't log into any of the TV subscriptions. It would have been nice to know the coffee machine took Nespresso cups, but no grocery stores in town carried them. We ended up borrowing the coffee machine from the downstairs unit. It'd be great to know prior to arriving what kind of coffee was needed after a late arrival. The flat pillows needed replacing badly! Know that you'll be on site with 2 other rental properties. There were 7 other people at one point around, so you don't have the place to yourselves.
