Relaxation awaits you at this fabulous beachside duplex. Each side of this beach home has 6 bedrooms and 6 baths, including 2 master suites. 2nd Floor North Bedroom, King with ensuite bath 2nd Floor Living Room. QSS 2nd Floor Den/Lounge, QSS 3rd Floor South Bedroom, King with ensuite bath 3rd Floor Middle Bedroom, Queen, with ensuite bath (shared with North BR) 3rd Floor North Bedroom, King, with ensuite bath (shared with Middle BR) 4th Floor South Bedroom, 2 Queens + Twin over Full Bunk with ensuite bath 4th Floor North Bedroom, 2 Queens + Bunk with ensuite bath TWO REFRIGERATORS Two? Per side? Yes two. Because you won't want to stay somewhere without an extra fridge once you have had them. POOL Private to the two sides of the duplex: no sharing with other places nearby. The pool is open all year. It's a big rectangle, 22x16x3-5' Rectangle. Lounge chairs are provided around the pool. WIFI/INTERNET YES! We have an awesome Eero mesh network to ensure excellent wifi coverage throughout this spacious home. Spotty coverage is always an issue for big places. Sure internet may work next to the router in the living room, but what about the far reaches of the home!? That's why we installed a multi-node mesh network. And what's the internet like? It is generally solid and ran > 100Mb down the last test--sufficient for several simultaneous video conference sessions for remote work and education. Internet is, of course, an amenity and subject to service provider outages (and guests "troubleshooting" it), especially with the havoc the sand and salt wreak on cabling and facilities, no more so than any other home on the beach though, and likely better since its close in and new construction! PARKING There is available onsite, offstreet, parking for at least 6 midsize vehicles (per side), more if you stack well. In duplex units, please be neighborly about this. SOAPS, TOWELS, COFFEE, GRILLS ETC ETC As with most beach homes in the area, the local mgt co provide what they call a "starter supply" of soaps, toilet paper, and paper towels, etc. Enough for the first night to get you going! Please plan to bring or purchase additional supplies, and any cleaning or pantry supplies you may need, or to make a quick run to the store (or have it delivered!). You will want to bring beach towels or beach chairs as well. Because mgt cos will not generally support them, grills are not provided, though they are sometimes inherited from prior guests: your mileage may vary on this, and we usually assess and then go snag a small charcoal kettle when we come down ourselves. Also of note: at many locations, you may find the bunk beds (and certain other beds) are not fully made--instead a bedding pack is provided. This is a common practice for the local management companies, which is both green (if the bedding is not used, it doesn't have to be laundered) AND more sanitary--housekeeping does not have to crawl on the bunks and so on to make the beds. Also also... all our homes have both drip coffee makers and Keurigs as well. PETS We do consider well-behaved canine furry friends at many locations. This requires owner pre-approval, and is subject to a pet fee (currently $250 per pet). Approval in a duplex location, especially for peak weeks, generally is only available for guests renting both sides of the duplex. Please inquire. No smoking please, but feel free to eat lots of shrimp, bask in the warm sun, and have a great time! Wits End East https://vrbo.com/1778004 6BR Wits End West https://vrbo.com/1778067 6BR

Bama Beach Houses delivered everything a vacationer would want. Wits End West comes fully furnished with anything and everything you could need. This along with being steps away from pretty much your own private beach, made this a very relaxing vacation. The folks at Bama Beach Houses keep you informed every step of the way even down to great places to eat and visit.

Bama Beach Houses was very easy to work with. Everything was handled in a professional and timely manner. Check in was a breeze and the beach house, Wits End, was just the right fit for our group of 12 adults. I would definitely recommend using them for your next beach vacation. And the cheese cake was good too đź‘Ť

Sad that tomorrow is our last day. This place is amazing and we will most definitely be back next year! The heated pool is kept at a perfect temperature plus it's covered so the fun doesn't stop with the rain. Rooms are spacious with very comfortable beds and thermostats on each floor. Stayed in the gulf-side 2nd floor room which has a nice, tall bathroom to vent steam easily from hot showers. The highlight was the beautiful balcony overlooking the beach, waves, sunrises, and sunsets. We also appreciated the multiple fridges to fit all the food and full kitchen for cooking. Perfect getaway from the Minnesota cold. Can't wait to come back!

We had a great time in Gulf Shores last week. The house was perfect for our family. The beach was amazing!

We had a great time in your home and didn't encounter any major issues. The weather wasn't perfect but we were with family and great friends and away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Being around the surf and sand is always nice! All in all we had a very enjoyable time and had no big complaints or problems.

We had to move our stay a couple times. Thank you SO much for being understanding about that! We finally made the trip, and to Wits End, and it was awesome! We all had such a great time. And the beach, walkover, pool, and rooms were so so nice! THANK YOU!

We loved the home! From comparing from past rentals we've done (this is our 10th year traveling to AL) we noticed how clean the home was, we could walk barefoot and not be grossed out haha. Also, how solid the house is was also noticed. We didn't hear much between the floors when people would go to bed, but maybe the neighbors from time to time. We had 10 kids total that ranged from 6 month to 19 years old and lots of personalities. With that being said sound and volumes were never an issue with comfort levels for the families that stayed with us no matter the time of day. Some are early risers and some night owls. We all felt we had the freedom to relax how we wanted without being a bother. Your house was very comfortable and we all had a memorable stay. Thank you for the opportunity to rent for another amazing vacation in our happy place! You guys were amazing to rent from.

We really enjoyed our vacation - weather was great and the house was very accommodating. We stayed at Wits End about ten years ago and the added walk-over to the beach is amazing. The pool is still "cold" (but we enjoyed the privacy of our own space). We actually rented both sides (related parties).

Your house was beautiful and we had a great time! There was honestly nothing in the house that we noticed that needed attention other than one of the bunk beds upstairs was missing it ladder. But luckily we only had to use one top bunk so we were alright. That was our first time in Gulf Shores and we will definitely be back! And thank you for allowing us to stay there even though I was the oldest at 23. I'm sure the dumb kids that left when we got there that destroyed the place left a bad taste with you for college kids. I can assure you that our side was not left like that, we treated your house like it was our own. You saved us because our original house in Pensacola cancelled on us two days before our trip. Thanks again, our stay was fantastic and we hope to possibly stay there again.

We had a BIG family trip to Gulf Shores, including my kids, parents, sibling, and nieces, and my husband’s parents, siblings, and niece/nephews. In total there were 11 adults and 9 kids aging in range from 1-17. Even with this many people, it felt like we all had our own space. Dinners were a little crowded, but between the table, couch/chairs, and the coffee table, we were able to accommodate our group. The hi lights of the property include:
the pool, which was a big hit with the littles who were slightly intimidated by the big ocean, and with all the kids when the seaweed was a little out of control,
the walkover that leads to the beach was soooo helpful for everyone, but in particular my parents who have some trouble walking,
the exclusive feel of the beach; it never felt too crowded, as opposed to the beaches by the hotels where we ventured for parasailing. I do not have any specific complaints about the house or the area. There were a few cosmetic details that the owners could fix that had no bearing on the quality of our trip. However, I recognize that we were there at the end of the season, and I’m sure some of those issues happened before we got there, and I’m sure were fixed after the season ended, as the owners seem very invested with the state of their property. We had direct communication with them as soon as we booked, and they were sure to check in with us during and after our stay, to ensure all was well with our trip. It was comforting to know that the owners are very involved in the process, and don’t disappear, leaving everything up to the management company. We did have to call the management company once to get a bed sheet set, and they quickly brought it out to us. We all agreed that we would stay here again.

This property is a nice house but had issues that you would not expect when you are paying the price they ask for this house. The furniture in the house is old and worn out. The bed rooms are a nice size but have shag carpet which must be over ten years old, who has shag carpet? An attempt to clean the carpet was made without much success. The mirror in the first floor bathroom was losing its silver.
The dishwasher went out the first day we were there and the owners did replace it with a new machine, which was nice.
The range in the kitchen is old and does not have self cleaning features but does have a steam clean cycle. The oven must have been dirty because every time we cooked in it, when we opened the door smoke would come out and set off the fire alarm. This was very aggravating in the morning when others were trying to sleep. The maintenance people advised us not use the steam cycle to clean the oven because it needed to be done by the cleaning service. The cleaning people never came to clean the oven. The kitchen is the worst equipped kitchen of any house we have rented. This house was the 16th house we have rented on the Gulf Coast over the last 16 years. There was no knife set, there was one large knife but the tip was broken off. The pots & pans were a hodgepodge of items that have probably been left by tenants over the years. None were very satisfactory.
The most aggravating issue with the house is the washer and dryer. This house is advertised as accommodating 20 people. The washer and dryer are in a combo unit, dryer on top and washer on the bottom. We have stayed in houses with this combination, which had large tubs. I was not concerned when I saw the picture of the combo unit. However, when we arrived we discovered the washer and dryer were made for an efficiency apartment, not for a house housing 20 people. The washer, could wash a maximum of three bath towels and two wash cloths, and the dryer would take two hours to dry the three towels and two wash cloths. We did not bring a launderess with us who could stay in the laundry room all day to clean our clothes. I called the owner office and requested that they bring us a new wash and dryer. Their response was, they did not have extra washers and dryers. I bet Lowe's did.
A Cloumn on the front porch was completely rotten. and needs to be repaired.
It is evident that I was not pleased with this house. I could go on but I am out of space.

The location was the best part of the stay. The description in the listing is not complete. I was looking for a house to myself and this property is not that. It is a little deceiving how it is listed, especially for the price. It should mention that the property is two townhomes!

We had a great time. Weather was perfect. House was perfect for our busy family. The clean towels during the week were nice. The chocolates and small cooler for our left over food was a nice touch as we left. Thank you for a great time.

Great home. We have grown kids and having their own bedroom and bathroom was really great. Right on the beach, fully equipped kitchen. Bring your own towels, both beach and shower. The bath towels provided are worse than motel 6. Put your food in the silver fridge as the white fridge doesn't properly cool the food and it all spoils within 2 days, plus it reeks of fish. Great beach location, comfortable home. Check in process is flawless. We would go back.

The best thing about this property are the owners, incredibly responsive and they went overboard to make us happy. Our family group was 6 couples with 2 infants and 4 kids from 3-12.Unreal beach access, we saw dolphins in the early mornings, white sand, very clean beaches and lifeguard stands aren't too far away either. The heated pool was phenomenal for all the kids (and adults), but we had to call the property manager to turn it on. Kitchen was fully stocked with dishware and cookware, Internet was consistent, kids loved the bunk bed rooms - the pictures don't really do this place justice, we were happily surprised with the quality and spaciousness and we have already decided to revisit. The house was high-end and very well-kept. Parking was enough for 1 car and 5 mid-size suvs

We were 8 adults, 3 children, and 6 teenagers. Accommodations worked very well for us. The main fridge had a very fishy odor in that we couldn’t get out so we bought our ice but that wasn’t any bother. Just weren’t prepared our first meal. We loved the easy access to the beach and the location. A wonderful family experience. Thank you, owners and management.

Witt's End West is a spacious home with plenty of room for a large family gathering. The beds are good quality and the views are gorgeous. We saw multiple dolphin sitings in the mornings right from our bedroom window! This house is steps away from the beach, with easy access. The only issue we had was that there were a few things that weren't working correctly and needed to be fixed (ice machine, leaky fridge, coffee pot, etc) Aside from those things though, our family had a wonderful week celebrating Thanksgiving at the beach. We will definitely be back!
