Great stay! Although…….the Only things very disappointing and frustrating was the guy giving our parking tag who misled us by saying we would be charged $40 if we didn’t attend a mandatory presentation about the resort (even asked for license and credit card). This caused frustration with the second gentleman who tried to sell us a Capital Vacations package (the person who tried to sell the package even commented to my husband in a very rude manner were we just here to waste his time).

Resort itself is fine. You will be approached to join the time share community within minutes of arriving. Location dictates that you have a vehicle as supermarkets and other shops are not within walking distance.

Ever since they were bought by Capital One Vacations the service at Silver Lake has been in decline. Rooms are not ready by 4:00, front desk managers explanation is "it's raining" !??
No phone in room to call front desk to request missing garbage can for kitchen, bedding for sofa bed, and tissue for bathroom.
We have been coming here for 15+ years, and can really see the decline.

Horrible stay. On the second day my wife noticed one of the couch cushions had a brown streak which was definitely feces, whether human or animal. We went to the reception to notify them of the issue and they offered a Visa gift card which had some of the numbers erased, which we only noticed when came time to use it. We had to go back to advise them of that, and we were provided with another one, which also did not work. They blamed it on the fact that Universal Studios did not take prepaid gift cards, but it did not even work in their own convenience store. All in all, we had to go to the reception at least once a day to try and fix the issue. I have stayed in several dozens of hotels throughout the world in the last decade and this is by far the worst. I stayed in hostels that cost a fraction of the price that were better than this.

Check in was easy, but this is a time share community so expect that offer for the pitch. We had Disney plans for our entire stay and did not bite. The villa was clean and comfortable, but there is no ice machine in the hall to refill our cooler because the kitchens have full refrigerator/ freezers. This resort only provides room service on checkout which suits us fine, but if one needs daily coffee bring your own. My wife is impressed that the unit has universal design elements that would be beneficial for wheelchair users, as she works with para-athletes.
Our building was by the resort back gate and there was insufficient parking to accommodate all the guests staying in the two buildings across from one another. We had our own cart to transport our luggage and cooler, but others may find this complicated having to make multiple trips between building and car without luggage carts, both to unload and then to reload on check out. We also found it most unpleasant to have Housekeeping at our door precisely at 10 a.m. on check out, effectively timing us as we prepared to take our things out to load our car which took ten minutes; note the parking situation above. Yes, he did show me the time on his phone as I exited the unit, 10:08...Overall, it was a comfortable unit and close to the entrance to Disney's Animal Kingdom, but I'll think twice before rebooking here.

First off the room we got was not what was pictured in the Expedia listing. I should have researched closer but it was listed as a kitchenette but it’s a standard small room with a microwave and mini fridge like any other hotel room. Housekeeping doesn’t come, you can call for extra towels but they will charge you for toilet paper if you need anymore than the roll (that was half used when we got there) that’s already there (also we stayed 6 days so no extra toilet paper or clean towels was a little excessive for that long of a stay) They’ll harass you when you get there to check in and during your stay to do a time share presentation also. The location is fine decent, the rooms could use some updating for the price. There’s a security guard when first come in but I was only asked 3 times out of about 30 while coming in what building I was in or anything else so that was kind of useless. I wouldn’t stay here again just for the fact of the room wasn’t what I thought I was getting and the deal with no housekeeping etc.

It was a pleasant stay, I definitely going back to silver lake 👌

We had to switch out of our initial room due to the following issues: 1. Mattress was so badly sunk in we would roll into a hole. 2. The room had a moldy smell. 3. The rug in the living room area was disgustingly dirty/nasty, never had been clean or replaced. New room was better, didn’t smell but rug was dirty and bathroom had a slight odor due water getting under laminate flooring where no caulking was present.

High pressure sales from staff that ruins your trip.

Clean and updated room and property. Everything was great including the store where the guy cooked to go orders, pleasantly surprised and his food was amazing. A great treat if you dont feel like cooking in the room but don't want to go out either. Just sat by the pool ate dinner then swam for a bit. I highly recommend this place!!!

Room was clean, large and quiet. Property was within a 20 minute drive to all the parks. The only thing we didn’t like was before getting our parking pass we had to listen to a customer agent convince us to go to a breakfast for a presentation and if we went they promised us money. We had a very busy schedule and canceled. They offered us more money to come but we did not oblige, we were not in any way interested in hearing about time shares. So warning - before getting your parking pass you will most likely encounter this.

1. They would try their very best to sell you their hotel club program, it will cost you 2 hrs to listen to them. 2. And their breakfast is awful, no need to try. 3. No one helped you tidy up your room no matter how many days you stay there, only 1 washing powder you would get. 4. They have a ticket office to book many recreational program (including Disney tickets),don't trust. It is not cheaper than the Disney official websites, and their system is a mess, my tickets bought from them, could not connect to Disney App at all.

Hotel was a horrible place. Hair in the bathrooms. Ants in kitchen. Just wasn’t a pleasant place to stay for vacation. Pics they advertise isn’t how this place looks. This place is old and ran down. Shower curtains are dirty. This was horrible

Property doesn’t look like the pictures that’s advertised at all. My unit was 724 in the 700 building. I had hair in both bath rooms. Ants in kitchen. Very old and mildue smelly unit. Me and my family was very uncomfortable with this unit. Staff at front desk wasn’t helpful at all. I recommend no one to stay here.

This property seriously needs a lot of work. When checking in order to get your parking pass you have to sit down with aggressive sales teams trying to get you to attend one of their meetings in the morning to buy into a time share. You finally get your parking pass after repeatedly telling them no . That took about 45 mins . As we got out of the elivated we almost slipped because of all the rain water by the elivators we were on the second floor. When you open the door of your room you will be greeted with a mild wet smell.
Our villa was dirty and very outdated. The floor in the bathroom is all chipped up , the carpet in the befrooom felt very wet and moist , the carpet in the living room was absolutely filthy. Our towels were stained . Housekeeping wraps a mat in plastic wrap well ours had hair in it. All the windows half mold around them. Very unhappy with our stay and was definitely not worth our money.

This place is a mixed bag. It is a time share resort, not a hotel, so limited housekeeping and any additional toiletries are charged for. It was nice to have a little kitchen and extra room. Small annoyances were tv remotes that didn’t work and no blankets for pull out bed (brought once we requested them). Staff was friendly and good location for Disney parks made for a good stay. They did try to rope me into a timeshare presentation, but not too aggressively.

We booked rooms with 1 queen bed and 1 queen sofa bed and “sleep 4 people”. It was not possible to sleep on a sofa bed. The matrass was so thin that you could feel all metal parts of sofa. Their sofa beds cannot be considered as a place to sleep.

Didn't like that we had to get a parking pass from someone pushing timeshares. He was very rude when I made it clear we were just there to enjoy the weekend with our granddaughter.

Shower not impressive, and chairs in lobby look 50 years old. Also high pressure pitch regarding property when I only needed parking pass!

I donot know why it has an 8.2 review
First of all, it’s far from the parks so you’ll end up spending more on gas or Lyft
Then they do not serve free breakfast .
The room is old and less than basic . The sheets are cheap . It feels like you were in a public hospital not a hotel
And they donot even clean the room and replenish the soap shampoo towels etc. so if you stay there for 5 days , you’ll end up using the same towels over and over again and you will need to buy your own toilet paper !
The store pricing is way more than Disney’s . And the male store clerk won’t even give you a plastic bag to carry your merchandise . Thanks to the female store clerk who saw us struggling with our bought items and gave us a bag
To those who think abt staying here , think again! Best Western at Kissimmee is a much better option .

Loved the quieter location and staff service. Shoutout to Alex who works in the arcade for going above and beyond to help us fix a toy we had purchased elsewhere that broke. Truly a wonderful stay.

What we disliked the most was not being informed about it being a time share ..we arrived at 330 to check in. All was good friendly staff eager to help. Check in time was 400. No room ???? The desk clerk did react. We had a sick child. Finally got in the room. We had to go to the gauntlet to get our parking pass. Well time shareworking got my debit card info and questions about a credit card to show at a breakfast I didn't want to go to and felt pushed and forced 10 minutes before the breakfast time 845 am they called my room and texted me. Obviously IM NOT INTERESTED KEEP THE 20 BUCKS .bunch of crap

Carpets and rugs not vacuumed. Tile was mopped with dirty water which left it streaked, dirty and a smell in the unit that had to be aired out. Broken shower with ample mildew. Garbage on the stairs for three days that covered a whole flight. But no one cleaned it. Guards that refuse to leave shack and just waive you through even though they have no idea who you are no matter if you are there are 8 am or 2 am. An easy way to enter is the back gate. Just buzz and say you need to get to your unit. They will more ask names or any info just open the gate for you.
