Usually stay here and never have an issue everyone is great. But this last time i was given a room that the air conditioner/heater was broken. I went down to get a new room or it checked and was told they didnt have another room someone would come check it. No one ever showed up. We could only use it on ac and on full blast. The only way to shut it off was by the disconnect switch on the wall.

It was a four night business trip and they put me in a room with a small bathroom. I mean small! No room to turn around. The pillows were old and used. No closet space. The bed was two feet from the bathroom door. It was a very late check in and even though they offered to move me the next day, I was too busy ti deal with moving all my stuff. The room was across from the elevator and why the room was so small, the ice machine was next to the room. The front desk told be to beware if those 112, 212, 312, and 312 rooms because of the way the hotel is set up and I said you should beware of your patrons, it was a four night stay, I’m a woman with extra stuff, and I stay here frequently. It is not my job to fit me to a room. It was a Monday when I checked in and the hotel was not full. They could have graded me up too!

First time staying. No ATM on-site. Front desk agent upon check-in was not rude, but was not warm or very welcoming. The gentleman that was at the front desk later on was much more pleasant and outgoing. Room was very clean. I can tell they've recently remodeled. I will try the Holiday Inn across the street next week. Its $50 more per night. I know this because I had to walk over there to use their ATM. Their front desk agent was very friendly and helpful. They earned my next stay. La Quinta Salem did not. I will say, Kudos to the housekeeper that cleaned the room prior to my arrival and to the second shift front desk agent.

Convenient location, 38 minutes to the MFA in Boston where we were meeting friends the next day. A good price value especially compared to Boston hotels. The clerk at the desk recommend the Tuscan Village (a planned village over by the mall) for dinner, Ralphie's Cafe Italiano was casual with excellent food.
The only negative was the TV. I was planning on watching the NFL playoff games. The TV has four HDMI ports to stream from your computer or portable game station. We did not bring our computers for a one night get away. The free channels are Google TV and we do not subscribe to YouTube.

When I checked in the staff member was on his phone. He had one ear bud in and clearly on a FaceTime call. He didn’t hang up his personal call while checking me in. I went to my room and found there was no way to turn on the TV without a remote control (not one in the room). I had to call the front desk 3 times to get a response. The price was right and it was clean but customer service was horrible.

I understand the water main was hit down the street so brown water came out of faucet for a while when I tried to shower after traveling (out of hotels control )
However next morning the smoke detector in room went of three times while showering due to the steam, an hour later when I went out to get breakfast , upon arrival two maintenance personal were in my room unannounced to fix a faulty battery. Door open,

We showed up 45 minutes before check in and were told the room is ready, but it will cost us an additional $25.00 to access the room early. Someone need to remind this company that they are in the "hospitality" industry.

Upon checking in we were told this hotel does not have rollaway beds and I wasn’t sure where our adult son was going to sleep. I said there would be 3 adults and they couldn’t accommodate me. I was told they’re weren’t any queen rooms available I tried for 2 days to reach the front desk before our stay to reserve a rollaway bed but I could not get through. I reserved 2 rooms at the same time and was told they weren’t on the same floor. When we finally got our room key we went to the room and there was another guest already in that room. Back to the front desk. Suddenly they had a queen room available. One problem solved. We didn’t get back to the hotel until after 10 and I realized only one bed had a comforter. I had to go to the front desk and asked for a blanket and an extra pillow. There was no way to reach them by phone. The clerk came back with a bunch of sheets and told me they didn’t have any more blankets and he rolled a sheet into a ball and told me I could use that for a pillow. Never again will I stay in a LaQuinta. I thought because it was a Wyndham hotel it would be a quality hotel. The room smelled awful and was musty. To say I was Disappointed is an understatement

Comfy and nice and clean and basic breakfast. Nice place to stay when I'm visiting family and friends. Easy access to the highway to go north or south. Looking forward to another stay in the future.

The check in process was a nightmare. I have stayed at this hotel many times before and the new management is not like the prior one.
This system will not allow me to give details, so I will say simply that I rarely post a negative review. This hotel is not being run professionally and I will not return.
