We originally were given rooms on the 4th floor, but before we could get to the elevator the manager was behind us and suggesting rooms on the first floor because of our 94 year old Mom. We had rooms overlooking pool and you could open the gliding patio door and go out if you liked. The bed was comfortable. The refrigerator, microwave, and keurig coffee machine worked. There was no breakfast but there was hot coffee in the lobby. Like most hotels you could hear noise at times. The two things I really didn’t like: firstly, we had to change rooms because our sink didn’t work and I was almost done unpacking. Secondly, after our room was cleaned I noticed that the shampoo empty bottles I had used were still sitting on the tub 🛀; and I wondered if the tub got cleaned. The service was excellent. We had an overall good hotel experience.

The stay would have been good if the security wouldn't have been creepy and following us around. It was very uneasy at times.

Nothing fancy about Forrest Park. Its just a place to sleep. It is extremely close to STL Zoo and BJC hospital. Many of the other hotels in this area did not provide breakfast, and this place does not either. Two smaller negatives I have to give is: A) it isn't in the best of neighborhoods, but if you look at Google Maps, you already know this B) Upon inspecting the room, because I always check for bed bugs, doesn't matter if its a Motel 6 or the Ritz Carlton, they can be anywhere, I did find an issue of maybe mold behind the mattresses and side table, could have been thicker spots of dirt. I dunno. I didn't touch it for further inspection. I arrived fairly late and was too tired to look into another room.

This hotel charges about 200 per night but I don’t see why at all. They don’t have breakfast, they don’t have a pool, ice is only on 3 floors. The rooms are severely outdated.! Curtains had stains on them, the air conditioners were super dusty in the room and the floor is covered in incredibly old carpet. All they had to offer was coffee.! So if you stay here please be prepared to spend even more money because it’s nothing to do and eat here because they seriously have absolutely nothing to offer.!!! No amenities or nothing.!

It’s a cheap stay next to the highway. It’s passable but not clean for those who are clean freaks. Staff is kind. Security was in parking lot

Spent a couple of nights while visiting family. The hotel was a little dated but they were doing some renovations while I was there. It was clean and quite and the staff was friendly and helpful. The elevator was a little noisy so if that makes you nervous beware.

We decided to spend the night, and tour The Hill district in St. Louis. The location of the hotel worked out great. It was close to areas we wanted to visit. There was some work going on in the hotel, but it wasn't intrusive. Johanna was extremely helpful, pleasant and professional. The room was comfortable and clean. Our view overlooked the city. A great stay, and we would definitely stay there again.

Reserved 1 room with king bed. Upon arrival hotel had us staying 2 nights. Then upon arriving in room there were 2 queen beds! Laptop could not access wi-fi. For the money spent....never again. Price was comparable to Drury's, Hampton Inn's, etc. Place was not even close and cannot be compared to the Drury's etc.

We are so happy we found the Forest Park Hotel! It is right by where our family is located in St. Louis and the staff is absolutely amazing. Cornice checked us in and made us feel so at ease and welcomed after a very long day of traveling. She picked a perfect room for us on a high floor with a great view and I’m so thankful for her thoughtfulness! The room was lovely, clean, and smelled like relaxation! Really enjoyed the flavorful complimentary coffee. We felt so secure and safe with the well lit parking lot and the hotel security staff. We also had the pleasure of being checked out by Orlean and the new owner. They sent us on our way with big smiles on our faces. You can tell they have a great sense of pride in the property and the staff. I only see good things for this hotel in the future! This was our first time but certainly won’t be our last!

Out of state trip booked 2 rooms for 3 night weekend. Arrived Thursday night given two rooms on the second floor. Its a non smoking hotel but the 2nd floor hallway had strong smoke odors. Got into our rooms not clean, electrical plugs and refrigerator were inoperable. One of the room has a brown leak coming from bathroom ceiling, RM 217. Must have been flooding on the 3rd floor above. Also loud yelling and door slamming frequently on this 2nd floor. Requested to change rooms, at first was told nothing was available but turned out there were a couple of rooms on 7th floor. This floor and 6th floor were maintained somewhat better than floor 1-3. No smoke odors in hallway and rooms were given somewhat a fresh coat of paint. In room electrical plugs and refrigirators are operational. Overheard later from elevator conversation from two tenants comparing their floor 2 and floor 3 rooms that they were government paid rooms to house locals in need of temporary housing. That explains a lot including the loud noises and door slamming. Also, our rooms were not cleaned on Saturday. Coming back at night from out all day, Dirty towels were still on the floor and requested fresh ones from front desk. If you still want to book this hotel make sure you secure rooms on 6 and 7 floors prior to arriving. DO NOT ACCEPT ROOMS in floors 1-3. The positve side was that the hotel location was centralized to places where we needed to be for the weekend. The reason we booked rooms in this hotel.

We arrived late - close to 11pm after driving for 16 hours. We informed the front desk that we had two dogs and they gave us a contract to sign. My husband just signed it. When he came to the room I saw it was a pet contract and we had two documented service dogs. We had been charged a $100 pet fee. I told the front desk and he apologized and said the manager would fix it in the morning. She refused. This hotel violates ADA law. The manager refused to even look at our documentation and kept stating we had pets. These are not pets they are service animals. I’m filing a formal complaint with the ADA and the Dept of Justice. I have never stayed at such an unfriendly, malicious, money hungry hotel. Beds were rock hard. Rooms bare bones and there was no toilet paper in the bathroom. For $130 you could do much better elsewhere.

We had a quick night stay before going to our next destination. The staff were very friendly. The parking lot was well lit. The hotel was easy to access. The room was clean. The room had its own balcony. The only complaint I had about it was that the weather sealant on the balcony door didn’t seal enough for the door to act as a noise barrier. The highway noise wasn’t loud for the hotel being close to the highway.

It was good. The staff was very friendly during check-in. The lobby looked and smelled really clean. The room and bathroom was clean. I slept great. My husband said the bed was uncomfortable.

This place was okay, as in all the facilities worked. It's an older facility with an attempt made to revive it. The foyer/registration area looks best/more modern. Stained carpets, upholstered chairs and drapery. We were on the 6th floor but even do our patio sliding door would not latch closed/locked. If I had been alone I would not have stayed in the room. I'm sure twenty years ago it was a very nice place. I guess they're trying. Check-in process went smoothly and security was taken seriously.

The front desk agent who checked us in the night of 2/9 was amazing! I didn't get her name, but she was so kind and worked to immediately resolve an issue with our reservation. She was also actively sanitizing the area when we walked in, which is always nice to see. The shower water pressure was very low, and the toilet was crooked and struggled to flush. Other than that, it was a nice stay.

Let me start the review off with the staff. Every single staff member that i had any interaction with, was friendly, helpful and genuine. We were treated like family. I have 25 years in customer service and hospitality, and this staff is one of the best overall that i have ever seen. My wife and I stayed for 10 days, and we enjoyed it. We were impressed with the price.....we have stayed at many other hotels in st louis that were charging the same or more than forest park hotel, that were not even close to the level we found at forest park. Each room has a private balcony. Theyre nice large rooms. The beds are reasonably comfortable. The rooms are a little dated but they are kept clean and in good repair. The only things we found that were not good: there were numerous guests that were fighting all hours of the day and night, screaming, slamming doors, assaulting each other. And this would go on for HOURS. Now this isnt the fault of the hotel, but there was nothing done by management to get them to stop, because it continued throughout our stay. Overall a great location staff and stay for a reasonable price. We will definitely stay here again.
