It was a great stay. Having a restaurant open for all 3 meals was a great convenience. Even though I did not want the sheets or towels changed, I requested for tea/coffee refreshment. But it seems they forgot to do that. But the front desk was very responsive and helped out immediately.|

Room was supposed to be 200$ at check out it was $300. Not worth $300.

Service was great, however TV did not work. Staff was very accommodating and tried to move us, however we had already settled in for the night. It is on a busy street, so you can hear traffic outside, but it's also close to anything you could want.

Great location and always great service

The room was clean and the staff were ready to offer any assistance. I liked the breakfast.

Great location for visiting kids at App State. Hotel was clean. Staff was friendly.

The on-site breakfast was equivalent to an à la carte version of continental buffets you find at a Holiday Inn Express, just served out for you and charged by plate. Pool area is in need of renovation.

Quick trip up to the mountains was made wonderful and thanks to the hospitality of the staff

Two problems: street noise and street light hindered sleep. Inadequate curtains to block light. We booked because they had a hot tub. There was no notification that the hot tub was out of service until we were signing in. At this point cancellation would have meant no refund.

The stay was everything we needed it to be as far as functionality. We were primarily just disappointed that the hot tub was closed as that was a major reason we chose to stay here. Other than that, it was a very nice, clean stay with great proximity to the surrounding town and leisure activities.

Hotel was clean, except for the lobby, due to the blowing snow, frigid cold doors continuously opening & closing. Should definitely have had someone monitoring the snow piling up at the entrance. My brother & I both slipped as we walked out.
No pool or hot tub available either.

First of all we were charged a $100 hold in case of issues they may have with us for incidental and they said they would reimburse us if there weren’t any issues. The hotel was extremely noisy. The pool area was ok but the jacuzzi was disgusting and looked like it needed chlorine. They did not offer an included free breakfast like most all other hotels do, they were going to charge a fee per person for breakfast. Parking was difficult and there weren’t enough spots for everyone there. We would never stay back at this hotel.

Was refused breakfast service at 9:50 am when breakfast ended at 10am. They said they had orders before mine and wasn’t taking anymore breakfast orders. This place doesn’t have free breakfast so no breakfast for $200 a night.

Wish the hot tub was working. After a day of skiing we wanted to be able to relax. Also someone left the windows all open in the pool area so the room was not warm at all. Pool was not warm either

Where to start? The rooms (2 rooms) were not ready upon arriving at the hotel. It qas well after 7pm and the rooms were supposed to be ready by 4pm. Apparently staff just didn't show up, housekeepers for one, but also no cook or battender. The front desk was super apologetic, and I felt bad for her as there were quite a few people upset and waiting. She recommended that we go and eat, which wasn't something we had planned on doing without taking a shower first and unloading the car but what choice did we have? After returning from dinner we still had to wait for the rooms, as they were still not ready. By 9pm we had rooms assigned. We used the luggage carts, but almost had a child casualty as the carts all have flat tires, so they almoat flipped. Then the room key didn't work, so back down we go. Finally we are settled in, but the next day the elevator on our side of the hotel broke and now we had to either use the elevator at the other end of the hotel or the stairs. Ok fine, but try that with a bunch of luggage and from the 5th floor... anyway, checking out was therefore as much of a pain as checking in. The fitness center was beyond filthy, but I guess rooms took priority. So ok, bad experience all around. No option of breakfast at the hotel, as no staff available. So obviously, I contacted Expedia to see if there is something that could be done, I didn't expect a full refund, but at least an acknowledgement? A good faith gesture? But no, the hotel did not. Nothing!

One of the employees said they were understaffed and it was evident in the service received.

The rooms were very clean and the staff extremely friendly. That being said, we went to this hotel specifically because it had an indoor pool and hot tub. When we get there rhey tell us the hot tub has not been working for several months. Our ac/heater didn’t ,work properly it was either cold or hot no happy in between. If you want clean rooms and friendly staff, this is your place but do not expect much more.

I never leave reviews, but feel like this one needs to be done.
I was extremely disappointed in this Holiday Inn. We showed up at 4:30pm to check in thinking our room would be ready with no problems. Wrong! We along with 20 other people had to wait for another almost 2 hours to get into our rooms due to the rooms had not been cleaned yet. After 1 1/2 hours we had to tell the Manager we needed a room to get ready for a function. He finally worked it out where we could go up to our room but allow the workers to come back to finish cleaning. He comped us drinks at the bar and breakfast this morning. We went to our function, came back to a clean room but then this morning when we went down to get breakfast the area was closed with a sign saying it was closed due to weather related issues.
We will not stay here again. Too many issues with low staff/employees.

Very noisy family in the next room keeping us up all night. Complained each day to the front desk. They offered us 1 free breakfast and the day we went to redeem it the breakfast was closed. Housekeeping never made our bed only changed trash and towels. We paid for a handicap room and were given a normal room.

Our stay was absolutely amazing, the front desk was helpful and amazing. The location was perfect for the things that we had came to do. This will now be our go to spot anytime we come back

Disappointed in that chose the hotel due to having a pool and hot tub, along with a hot breakfast. After a day tubing and ice skating, wanted to hit the hot tub but was not working and has not been for a long time. Next morning, no breakfast that paid for when booking and could not remove from bill before I left. Staff was polite and apologized but still was completely disappointed.

It took three to four times to get into the room due to key card issues Finally after the third attempt, I requested a new room. It took so long, my daughter had to get ready in the lobby bathroom so we wouldn't be late to a dinner reservation. Fortunately, the front desk agent was super sweet and professional even when I was starting to get flustered. The hotel did a great job of setting the expectation that the hot tub was closed but it didn't seem like bar or breakfast area was ever open. I would verify before booking here. The room was comfortable and everything we needed but our specific room was a conjoining room so we heard everyone our neighbors were saying which was weird. We will most likely stay elsewhere next time we come to ski.

Property is located at good location. All restaurants are near by.
Couple of things
1. Entrance to the hotel is not straight forward
2. Representative which help us checked in was not that friendly.

Great hotel but the Holiday Inn Express about 2 miles away had a free breakfast. $10 for some eggs and couple pieces of bacon was disappointing. Great hotel other than that

The clerk put us in a handicap room. The room was the strangest setup we ever stayed in.

Updated since COVID, it's a great improvement over the previous condition. The front desk was very cordial and helpful. I was pleasantly surprised that you could get food and drinks at the hotel. The rooms were nice, the bed was comfortable. The raised toilet was appreciated as it's very hard for seniors to use the typical low installed toilets in hotels. While I would prefer a walk-in shower, I understand that bathtubs are better for bathing children. Even at home we don't have all the conveniences that we would like. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

This should be a 4 star, but their hot tub was closed, and it was one of the reason I choose this hotel, so my disappointment is in the rating. Comfortable bed, clean room, helpful staff

I didn't like that I had to pay a $100 damage deposit "in case any damage was found after I checked out." When I asked for it back at checkout, I was told it would take approximately 10 business days to be refunded. Nobody else charged this fee - why should they?
