While the staff was friendly, the room was very old, musty, and felt unclean. The pillows were very uncomfortable and there was an unpleasant odor in the room and bathroom. It also looked shabby from the outside, and the furniture in the room was in very poor shape

Overall a comfy place to stay. It's small, quiet and safe. The breakfast buffet was good. Perfectly located in the heart of Poway, so it was easy to get to everything. The folks whom work here are really quite nice and very helpful.

Not a bad stay but had a couple of issues. First thing the TV would not log in. Second thing was the blanket was too light but we would have to go to the office to get an extra one. We didn't care to do that.

Property was run down. Photos showed freshly updated rooms. Reality is, they slapped a little rouge on and called it a day. The bathtub ran all night. There were 6 or more people in the rooms on eaither side of us, with lots of banging and children crying. Dirty carpet, unpainted patches in the wall. The smallest tv possible. Way overpriced for what it was. Best Western should be ashamed to have the name on this MOTEL like property. Just because you buy a motel, slap some paint on it and change the name, disappointed

The stay was terrible but not as bad as being ripped off 4 days after the stay. The breakfast area was dirty, cereal and bagels stale, the orange juice tasted rancid. waffles maker and yogurt was the saving grace. Four days after the stay the hotel charged us $242 in addition to what we had already paid on hotels.com for the room. 3 days later the manager has still refused to return my call or email, the refund still hasn’t cleared our account and now we have been charged an additional nearly $100 in 3 return check fees since the unexpected charge made our account negative. Customer service at the hotel has been of no help and clearly no concern to the manager as they have refused to return my call or email in 3 days.

Stay here every year because its close to family. Staff is friendly, accomodating. Free breakfast in morning has many options.

This place was clean, and comfortable. Very reasonable priced for this room. Very surprised they had a good breakfast in a breakfast sitting room. Now days since Covid 19 , no place has any breakfasts foods. We would stay here again.

Room was filthy and smelled so bad of mildew hole was punched in the door of the bathroom and bathroom door did not shut switched to another room only to have it smell just as bad and was even more filthy than the first one sheets had stains on them and pillows had make up stained on them definitely will not stay here ever again

Literally I was only t sleep I b there for two nights and after the second night, I became so itchy and there were bugs in the bathroom.. which made me itch even more. I had to check out and stay with my aunt for the rest of the trip.

Door numbers should be larger. Directions for AC should be on a separate piece of paper because the info on the control panel is not readable without a magnifying glass.

All the good reviews here are fake. There is no way anyone called this place “clean” or “nice”. It’s so freaking dirty or maybe it’s just run down to the point where it’s impossible to clean. I will list the problems in my room. Smelled like someone smoked for a month straight (it was a non smoking room) We had flys, I killed most of them (I think) the bathroom door wouldn’t shut because the floor had a bump where the door would swing The floor had stains all over it The a/c was there but would only cool off the room at about 3am (in June) The entry door had to be closed and opened with the force of a Mack truck The bedding must have been 1940s army issue The towels were only towels in the sense that’s what they were made for but have lived well past there life span. Peeling paint all over the walls The property must have narrowed the parking spaces for more spots. Two people parked next to me and I had to get out through the rear window. Breakfast, if you want muffins, cereal with no milk or coffee that was filter through a sock your in luck. Otherwise plan on getting something else. The picture are not what you will see when you get in. The price point for this kind of room is $100 a night MAX and that’s pushing it. I’m not some snob who only wants the best. I stayed at combat outpost that are nicer then this place. If you have the choice pick somewhere else.
