We stayed one night. Great location. Near food, shopping, interstate access. Staff was amazing the lady Anita in the front desk took really good care of us..
Definitely recommend this hotel and will stay there again!

Staff went above and beyond to help with extra needs for my business stay. Unfortunately, the refrigerator froze my food and I couldn't eat it for breakfast like I had planned.

They have roaches and homeless people are always in the lobby. The shower gets hot when it feels like it and the free breakfast was insulting

This was in the top 2 of the worst stays we’ve ever encountered. We were in a non-smoking room but the entire first floor smelled of cigarette smoke. My husband witnessed someone smoking on the first floor. I have asthma so I don’t take this issue lightly. Our mini fridge and telephone weren’t working. When we tried to change rooms, we were told there were no other rooms available. When I asked for a refund, the manager, Al Patel, refused. Nobody ever came to fix the mini fridge or the phone. The bed was terribly uncomfortable and the free “continental” breakfast turned out to be a pre-packaged cinnamon roll on Saturday and a pre-packaged oatmeal creme pie on Sunday. We will never stay at this hotel again.

The room was half way clean. The floors were hardwood and dirty. They look like they hadn’t been swept in weeks. The internet sucked. It was streaming every 5 seconds. Some of the lady’s at the front desk were very rude and not helpful. You can smell marijuana outside when you pull in the parking lot and you can smell it at the front desk all the time. Sometimes there isn’t anyone at the front desk to check in cause they are out front smoking pot. People that live there park in the handicap parking space and don’t even have handicap. It’s a okay hotel if you just staying in the area for a couple of days.

Lots of noise in the hall. People yelling and slamming doors. Stomping and noise on 3rd floor.

Was great, the rooms were neat and clean compared to all of the cheaper hotels I've been too. They really take care of the rooms, but that's said for only my room, I can't speak for the rest. Otherwise, amazing hotel for the price.

The front desk ladies were very nice.

We chose a no smoking room. The entire property stunk of cigarettes. We had to open the window and run the air just to get rid of some of the smell. I noticed my clothes in my bag stunk of cigarettes when I got back home. It's always a gamble.
My advice to the hotel is to make the top floor smoking and the rest no smoking. Don't put no smoking in with the smoking.

Thought Newport news was a tourist attraction. Not really. The hotel though is not terribly disappointing. The room is spacious, the shower has hot water, bed is king size and the cleanliness is not too bad. Most importantly, I booked the hotel 48hr ahead of time and got charged 90$. How much can you ask for 90$?
Still, the safe in my room does not work, and the hotel hallway has a weird smell. But if you just stay for one night it is okay.

Service was great, room was clean and for a smoke free room it actually didn’t smell like smoke as many other hotels have. For someone with asthma and allergies that meant the most!

The staff were very friendly and approachable. My room was neatened and towels replaced each day.

The place stunk like mold, the AC smelled like someone peed in it. I was very disappointed I left a day early

The bathtub had mold or mildew, maybe because the faucet constantly dripped. The freezer, in the little refrigerator in the room, needed to be defrosted so badly it was unusable. The mini coffee maker didn't have a cover on the reservoir so we couldn't use that either. The "breakfast" consisted of a banana and small cups of weak coffee from 6am til 9am.
There were vagrants nearby (not on the hotel grounds) begging for money. On a positive note, there were no bugs and the housekeeping staff was pleasant.

so many issues with this location. First i get there & the room wasn't ready. The man at the front desk named josh was nice, however he charged me for the room and pet fee twice of 60.00. So he refunded me the whole amount & we had to wait till the money was refunded to process payment. We reserved a king size bed& he gave is a room with 2 beds. He said pets arnt allowed on the 2nd & 3rd floor. The pet was listed on our reservation. Also there was hairs in the bed. Then he called us 3 time more about the payment issue. We called the bank together & they said the money would be back in my account the next morning at 7am. He said to be in the lobby at 7am which i was. We spoke to Carolyn & she wanted to wait for Al the gm. After dropping the cat off we went back & took a nap. Then left again, Al then called me &wanted to know if i was coming back. I advised we were there till Saturday. We went picked the cat & went back to the hotel and wen to the front desk. The clerk had Al come down & spoke with me &my husband, & said the refund was processing and that wanted to wait till it went fully threw. I told him the money was in my account now he said he would contact us when he was ready to charge the card. AFTER we left today he charged my card for the wrong amount & with no discount as promised & the card was entered manually which means they wrote down my card. When i got home & told Anita what happed she hung up on me. I called my bank to cancel card.Terrible place and people.

No closet, ironing board or iron, elevator broken, I'd never stay there again!

The room smelled funky and the floors were sticky and dirty. Located on a very noisy street. One of the windows in the back were broken and patched up. Only realized the next morning when we were leaving. Breakfast was just coffee and cinnamon roll which we totally skipped. I’m very disappointed with this hotel

The elevator was still out of service; with the exact same signs on them that were posted then last time I stayed there. The non-smoking room smelled like nicotine.

We were put on the third floor and the elevator was out of order and my sister fell down the stairs comming up to the room and had to be treated at an Urgent Care for cuts, bruises, and a sprained leg. The breakfast consisted of coffee made from chickory full of grinds,a few cinnamon buns, 2 hot chocolate packs, tea, and orange juice that didn't work and apple juice. There was a sign asking guests to take one cinnamon roll and eat it in your room being no place to sit. There was sketchy people hanging out inside and outside the motel all night long and some of them lived there and worked there.
4.0
It was clean and the staff was nice, however, there are a lot of sketchy people hanging around there, and a female was trying to argue with a staff member in the lobby threatening she had a gun. The staff member kept her cool. It really felt unsafe with the people walking around the property as well. Too bad for this location because they have no control of their surroundings.

Great staffing at that location.

I didn't stay. When I arrived at the hotel, my reservation had been cancelled under the guise that someone tried to confirm the reservation at 10:50 pm and my card was declined. I was down for a weekend festival. It typically does not let out until 11 pm. With after events, exciting the parking lot, food, etc., many people do not make it to their hotels until the wee hours of the morning. As such, I was driving around at 2 am trying to find a place a sleep during a major event that sells out the community.

I’ve stayed n another super in another state and it wasn’t like this one. It appeared like it was a homeless shelter. Everyone had to evacuate the hotel this morning due to an alarm going off. Something was burning. Just a uncomfortable setting
