Pretty tired property. Location is nice, WM nearby, restaurants reachable by car, rooms are generous. The place just looks and feels tired.

They screwed up my reservation and we're fully booked. We had to drive for an hour and a half to find a motel.

Room was comfortable. Hotel is under renovation so the fact that the headboard was peeling and the carpet and foot stool was dirty, and the ceiling fan was broken is not unexpected. Pool water was a little cold and the timer on the hot tub was broken. We had a good view and the breakfast was pretty good. Staff was pretty friendly and mostly helpful, although the night desk manager, who told us that our request for a late check-out the following morning was not recorded as promised. Consequently when I called the next morning, all the late check-outs had been taken. Overall, we decided we'd stay there again. It's our second time staying there and this visit was better than the previous visit. I'm hoping that, as the renovation progresses, the venue will continue to improve.

We booked this hotel for several reasons, none of which actually were working. The heated pool was broken along with the door(s) going to the pool area. The elevator ended up being broken for a while and being handicap, I still had to climb to the fourth floor via stairs to get to my room...shower head was full of calcium deposits shooting the water in several different directions with the water sometimes hot and sometimes just warm...doors didn't shut properly (either warped or just stuck) or open easily... there was garbage under the bed... curtains didn't shut all the way as they were broken as well... 2 tvs had 2 different remotes but one of the remotes controlled both tvs which was super annoying...no light switches - all lamps were manually controlled at the source...breakfast was ok but the milk wasn't cold which made me worry if it was spoiled... The workers were very nice and doing the best they could with the circumstances but I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone...

Arrived at 8:30pm. Front desk person sitting on her phone in back room for five minutes before acknowledging us at the desk. Fire alarm went off at 1:30am. First stairs we attempt to evacuate from closed for maintenance. Had to evacuate down the stairs at the far end of the building. We get out to the parking lot and no hotel staff to be found. Fire truck arrived after we are in the parking lot for 12 minutes. No lights or sirens. Terrible burning/smoke smell in the building triggered my wife’s asthma. Fire alarm triggered my son’s anxiety. We could not stay we left after barely there for five hours. We are requesting full refund of initial charge as well as unknown $25 fee. The whole experience was utterly unacceptable.

Would appreciate a smile at check in or a goodbye upon leaving. Hotel/room quite worn down, fridge made loud noises all night, cracks in bathroom tiles so bad tiles felt loose under feet. Breakfast buffet fine, but everything plastic wrapped - just not 2024 for me. Staff at breakfast nice and attentive. overall price way too high for what we got.

I was leery about staying at the Holiday Inn Express, but was pleasantly surprised. The room is a little dated but it was very clean. The bed was very comfortable and the Dove shampoo, conditioner, and body wash was awesome. I don’t know why there were bad reviews, but I would stay there again.

Poor communication within staff. We were put in the wrong room, accused of no reservations, had to get my kids and husband out of bed to go figure it out with the staff downstairs. Called us at least 10 times for complaints of noise, my kids were getting in the bath and were being calm. It was very inconsiderate and frustrating on everyone.

Spending Christmas Eve here with two dogs. They have rooms especially for guests with dogs. The room is spacious and appropriate. The room is clean and on the 1st floor, which is easy access to go outside. The hotel is very nicely laid out and all by itself on a hill. Plenty of parking. The breakfast is really good. Plenty of food to choose from and the coffee is delicious. The only thing that I had a problem with was the hot water in the shower. It took a while for it to work. Other than that. Check in was easy and the clerk was very sweet. I would definitely stay here again.

Did not like that there was a pet fee charge at hotel. We already paid thru expedia. Very expensive night for poor quality room. We stayed in many holiday inn express, all very nice and pet friendly but this one in Mesquite, very disappointing.

I was traveling with a pet and the young lady that checked us in was great. Pet rooms: the floor was dirty. I would think that the floors would be super clean as dog can tend to bring things in with their paws.

We have been staying at this hotel for the last few years, but this was really the worst room that we had. The hotel needs a little bit of a facelift. The carpet is dingy, floor in the bathroom. It’s just old and damaged. The worst was that the floor was creaky and loud and noisy when walking from one side of the room to the other. The breakfast was wonderful!

I came to Mesquite to visit my sisters in Overton and I decided this is where I wanted to stay while there. I had no problem checking in ALL the employees were friendly and if I had a question they helped me on finding things around town. Best experience during my whole trip at this hotel. I would recommend to anyone wanting a great experience staying in Mesquite.

Kids running down the halls all night long got woke up to kids pulling the fire alarm and had to evacuate the hotel wait outside till fire department showed up and cleared the hotel staff acted like it was no big deal i just got to sleep after driving for 16 hours

I made reservations online day of travel and used my saved hotels dollars so it was suppose to be a free stay. When I checked in 2 disappointments- the website states pets ok but at the desk it showed a $75 charge ( unexpected since not noted on the website - $75 is a lot!) and the desk agent .charged me for the room so I had to return and he had to call a supervisor to correct . It’s fixed but it was 2x wrong. That said room was clean comfy and quiet .
