Bar was awesome. Live band was great, large selection of craft beer. Awesome outdoor area to chill and enjoy a beer and the live music.
Room was nice, clean and comfortable.

Basecamp itself was great and service was amazing. Room was so-so, it could be updated but overall we had a great stay. We love all the amenities and enjoyed the firepits during the cold weather. We plan on staying again next visit

Great place to stay if you’re looking for a clean place with nice outdoor space that is walkable to restaurants and casinos

The room was a little outdated, you can tell by the color/condition of the carpet. Updated bathroom but the floors are squeeky. We can also hear the footsteps of the people from the other room and the room above us. Parking spot is very limited, so, good luck witht hat! There’s no guarantee that you will be able to find one. The only good thing about this place is it is close to the gondola to heavenly, and you can walk to find restaurants and convenience stores. Other than that, your sleep/rest will be compromised.

Last minute decision to stay here and I'd never been to Tahoe. Super cozy, staff was extremely nice and helpful, bed was comfy, I would stay here again. :-)

Rooms were so hot. Turned thermostat off and it was still sweltering. Tried to sleep with door open but the lights blared into the room and the music from the bar could be heard across the property. Wind blew in from the portable AC duct causing a terrible rattle all night.

Leticia did a great job ensuring we were comfortable during our stay

Hotel was walking distance to the gondola and had an amazing hot tub and brewery on site. Coffee and breakfast in the lobby was amazing. Would not hesitate to stay again!!

Pros: Got a good price for a weekend trip. An okay breakfast to purchase. Good heating.
Cons: "Family Room" on the third floor without elevator. Worn carpets and furniture. No room service due to staffing shortages.
Verdict: Nothing remarkable, yet another Tahoe hotel. Wouldn't call it family friendly. Supposedly better in the summer and without kids.

We had a very rough experience checking-in due to a delayed flight and drive from Sacramento; there was no one at the desk to help us get into our room and the room keys didn't work, and it was after 1am. The manager was ultimately very helpful but it was a rough situation. The property is desperately in need of some reinvestment.

This is my first time staying here at Base Camp south Tahoe and my partner's 2nd time. The room is nothing to write home about but it serves the purpose for 2 day ski trip. However, one night we return to our room late night after a concert. The key card was not working for us to enter our room and no one around to help with this. We tried calling the phone number that was posted on their door and unfortunately it said their mail was full and we could not leave a message. We tried texting them but we weren't getting back a response in a timely manner in the meantime it is so cold outside we had to end up paying for a room at a different Hotel so we could at least have a warm place to sleep. Needless to say we are not very happy of how this was handled. At the very least the manager /owner should make this right for us as we are the customers and we did not get to sleep in the room that we had already paid for. We are not going to ignore this we will contact the hotel owner.

Nice place, clean room, friendly staff.

Wonderful hotel. Would stay again. Only complaint is that they need a sign for their lobby to make it noticeable, we walked around searching for it in a blizzard. But that would stop me from rebooking now that I know where it's all.

I liked how convenient it was to get to everything and the brewery was great!

Great facilities - hot tub / brewery / live music
Needs a clean - carpets could do with a steam clean
Recycle bins around the facilities would be great

The best place to stay near Heavenly Valley for a family on a budget.

This was a nice elevated/refurbished motel. Was not 4 or 5 star stay. For the price it was okay. The brewery was a big plus and so was the cute breakfast.

While the metal bunk beds provide a space-saving solution, the exposed iron rods posed a safety concern, leading to frequent bumps and bruises. Limited sitting space near the bunks also made it difficult to move around comfortably without hitting my head. The heater's sudden temperature spikes were not only uncomfortable but also raised concerns about potential safety hazards. It's important for these issues to be addressed to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for future guests.

We have a beautiful view of the mountains and it was a very walkable distance from the outlets.

I like this property and have stayed here many times. It's quiet and the staff is nice. The only disappointment I had this time was that hot tub was not open. I have expected to enjoy the hot tub after a long day of skiing.

We came to ski so it was perfect for walking with ski gear
Wish they would’ve let us know there are 2 jacuzzi’s insight - we checked amenities and it’s not listed … BRING YOUR BATHING SUITS!

Worst shower ever! There was twice as much water pressure out of the sink than there was in the shower! No elevator and we were on the third floor, no big deal to me, but just FYI. But here is kind of a big deal to me in a hotel: no ice! One machine they keep disconnected and one was not working, can anyone make sense out of that? In a hotel, near resorts, whether it's snowing outside or not you still want ice in your drinks right? But the shower, that was unforgettable and unforgivable.

Basecamp was a great location for everything we wanted to do in Tahoe! Right off the main road and still so close to everything. The bar and coffee in the morning was amazing as well-try the fresh orange juice!

I had a pleasant stay with an upgraded room. Stephanie and Chris were attentive during check-in, also provided excellent service at reception too all guest. The room was clean, comfortable, and warmly welcoming upon arrival.

Property was family friendly. I like all the amenities that were on location. It was conveniently located to shopping and food. Room was clean but bed was little uncomfortable and floor was squeaky when walking. We were on the 3rd floor, I felt bad when walking around to get ready. This property gets 4/5 stars. Thank you for having us. I would stay here again if coming with family.

This is our second time staying at Basecamp and we absolutely appreciate Stephanie! She was very communicative about when our room was ready (it was ready early so that was great after a long drive) as well as helping ship some stuff that we left accidentally at the room. The beer garden was fun with live music and great food! We got breakfast before heading out and everything was delicious. Great stay and we will be back again!

This is a great stay. Very clean. comfortable. modern. Only thing is before the stay, it was very very hard to call anyone in the office.

Everything about this place was wonderful! The staff, the room, the amenities, even the quality of the coffee was stellar! Great location and priced fair. My only criticism, just like most other hotels, is that the hot tub hours dont run late enough on the weekends. Other than that, I would highly recommend this little getaway and we WILL be back!
