We enjoyed the room. Our only issue was the airport shuttle. The reason we booked the room was so we could have service to and from the airport. We made the shuttle to the hotel with no problems. The man who checked us in was very friendly and when we told him we wanted to reserve four spots on the morning shuttle for 9:30 AM, he told us he would do it. He did not. When we went down the next morning to leave, we had no spots for us on the shuttle because they’d given them all away. When we asked what our other options were, she just shrugged. We were able to get an Uber ride and made our flight with no help from them at all. It was very frustrating and nerve-racking and we will never stay there again.

Nice property; front desk people nice and polite but unhelpful when I asked about where a Walgreens was and she said 4-5 blocks. It was actually over 2.2 miles and I had to call Ann Uber cuz I got very winded. Also room above me making a lot of noise late and I called front desk and he was like our don’t know what I can do. Person(s) we’re dropping very heavy objects on the floor for about 30 mins

Mr flight in fort Lauderdale and was exhausted needed a place to crash it was a good price good service good breakfast and even got me to the airport on time in the morning when I was behind schedule

I called to confirm i was booking a room with a separate bedroom with a door from the living room where the sofa bed is and i was told yes. But that was not true and when we checked in it was just 1 open room not separate spaces and when we asked about it we were told that type of room doesn't even exist at this hotel. Not happy!

Hotel was nice. My only complaint would be,the airport shuttle needs work. Also the hotel still has my deposit on hold. It has been a week now.

Front desk staff are EXTREMELY RUDE!! I would not stay here ever again. Airport shuttle provided by hotel is 'barely' a shuttle service. Front desk clerk gave me wrong instructions for getting shuttle to hotel, then proceeded to ARGUE with me about it (hello! I thought I'm the guest / customer in this scenario). Next morning, we went down to lobby (at 5 am) to catch early flight and different (rude) front desk gal said "oh, if you need a shuttle you were supposed to book that the night before". Really??? Hello, maybe that can be posted somewhere. Never had such an issue with hotel staff and certainly not such a weird shuttle service protocol. I WOULD NEVER STAY AT THIS HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS AGAIN!

Waited for 40 minutes for shuttle from airport! A bus showed up with another name on side of bus….didn’t roll down window and ask us if waiting for holiday or nothing he just hesitated then drove off! I called again and apparently that was our shuttle. She then said he had to take customers to that hotel so would be another 10-15 minutes! Ended up paying for an Uber and was to hotel in 10 minutes! Then couldn’t check in bc reception has messed up their password so we sat there for another forty minutes! Once in room all was well!

The room and location is great. Front desk customer service, needs work. The front desk person in the morning, Alexia, has attitude. Not warm. She was only friendly with other guests, but in our group in particular, not at all.
I asked if we could leave our luggages at the front, since it is not check in time yet and we will rent a car, she snapped " You can't leave it here at the front. There's a room." Yes, of course, I know that, but her tone and just overall attitude is just unacceptable. I just didn't want to ruin my morning and deal with her and spoke to the other front desk person who was a guy.
Only good for an overnight before your cruise and that's it.

Our flight had been delayed twice. We finally get to the hotel at 130 am. We have stayed here before and after cruising and it’s our go to hotel. If your looking for quiet away from the noise this is it.

Breakfast was great! Hotel is SO dirty but sheets are clean. Everything else is VERY dirty. Even had a dirty tissue left INSIDE the tissue box!

The hotel was flooded with individuals eating breakfast, checking out, and a massive crowd trying to check in at 0830 in the morning (normal check in at 3pm). The staff handled it with grace, patience, and was accommodating to their fullest extent. Despite the massive crowd, the cleanliness was not compromised, and several did get to check in early (not 0830 early, but what could be expected!?!?). My family took short cab ride to watch a movie, had several options for lunch, and walked 1.1 miles back to hotel. Upon return, we waited 10 minutes for room to be ready, and checked in smoothly at 1:55 pm.

The hotel was pretty average for what to expect from a Holiday Inn Express. The hotel does not apparently have its own van for airport pickup; we had to look for a van from some other hotel at the pickup area at the airport. The check-in, however, was not good. The desk clerk took a very long time to handle our check-in. She kept mousing around on the screen, meanwhile pointing things out to a guy in what looked like maintenance worker clothes, which was a bit creepy. After finally giving us a room, the guy rode up on the elevator with us, which was even more creepy. Breakfast in the morning was good.

We were too early to check in snd asked if they could store our bags since we were starving snd wanted to grab lunch. Alexia said that was not s problem and then actually offered to give us one out of two of our rooms for the bags . She then said ill take care of u guys and gave us both of our rooms. She was such a sweet girl and went above and beyond for us!

Bath tub was gross and didn’t drain so I was stuck standing in water up to my ankles when I showered.

Even though we had a reservation, we were told the hotel was booked and sent to another hotel, where the original quoted price was not honored either. To add insult to injury, we were also charged for the original reservation. So we paid double for nothing.

Shanice and Ty were fantastic at the front desk. Super helpful and pleasant. As was the manager. Did their jobs very well. The shuttle driver left us waiting for 2 hours at the airport despite repeated calls (6 to be exact) and we finally booked a Lyft. Management reimbursed me for the cost but we were hot and a little frustrated upon arrival. The rest of our stay was wonderful!

Overall, we are happy with our stay. However, there were some glitches. We booked this hotel because of the free airport shuttle. When we arrived at the airport, I called the Front Desk 3 times to ask them to send the shuttle; there was never an answer. It was a coincidence that the shuttle showed up. The shuttle driver was extremely helpful and friendly and went above and beyond. We left one of our backpacks at the shuttle stop and he helped us by driving us back and retrieving the backpack. The hotel was very clean and within walking distance to a nice restaurant. Our room was clean and nice and the bed very comfortable. The TV was not set up and we had to call maintenance to help us; there was a phone in the room; however, when we tried to call the Front Desk, we found out that it was not working. The breakfast the next morning was outstanding and made up for some of the glitches. In closing, the shuttle driver and breakfast staff were outstanding. The Front Desk clerk working that evening needs to be told to answer the phone.

I have been a rewards member with Holiday Inn since 2015 and always stay with them. Until now. This Holiday Inn Ft. Lauderdale Airport South is the WORST I have ever stayed at. It's not the hotel or the rooms, those were great, it was the staff, the shuttle service, and several peopleI spoke to on the phone. One of the reasons I chose this Holiday Inn was the shuttle service. I few in to Ft Lauderdale and arrived just after midnight. I called for the "24" hour shuttle and was told that it ended at 11 pm...they lied and I took an Uber $$$. (I found out they lied when I returned) Next, my flights changed so I needed to stay another night but they were full. No problem, I understand. I asked if they could help me find another roon at another one of their hotels. I was told "You can probably do better online.", but it seemed they didn't want to be bothered to help me, so I found a room at a competitors hotel. After my trip out of the country, I returned for one night as a "layover". I arrived in Ft Lauderdale exhausted after a long day of long travel and I was returning to the aitport the next day. It was about 6:30pm, I went to the hotel shuttle area to wait. I called in case it needed to be reserved, and could not reach ANYONE at the hotel. So I called the reservation line and after another 15 minutes was told it would arrive in 15-20 minutes. After waiting anther 20-30 minutes I called again. This went on and on for over 2 hours, lie after lie person after person.
