Room was in good shape. Pretty clean. The only frustrating part was having the pool closed for maintenance and the parkade closed at certain times at the same time we were there. But the 2 bed 2 bath fit our family of 4 well (both kids under 5)

My only problem was the hotel was renovating but that fact was not made clear when I booked.

Linens were clean but the room was fairly dirty. Dust on furniture and dirty fridge. Trash under a desk and floors needed a good vacuum and mop.

We booked 2 rooms, they were very different but side by side which was good. They both were dirty: the showers had other peoples hair, dirt and grim all over them! Especially in any corner. The beds were crooked and you could see the box springs were torn. Needed more soft pillows for in bed, the pillows were so thick you had to put your whole body on them or you would break your neck. The carpeds were so dirty in the main area that the dirt then followed into your rooms (dirt from construction in the annex building and salt/slush from outside). The toilet paper holder is at a horriable level, because your leg just pushes it off the holder like everytime, very annoying. The blinds in the big triangle windows do not keep out the sign and street lights at all, very bright all night.
The tile floor is an accident waiting to happen, because everything was so slippery, this was especially true for the pool and when entering your room.
The pool was so grimmy and over crowded it was actually gross! The area to get into the pool was so small and hard to get into. This resulted in it being crowded and everything being wet, muddy and salt crystals everywhere. There were not enough chairs for people to put their stuff up off the floor so it doesnt get soaking wet (you have people coming from a different building, you need to have a bigger place for us to put all our stuff.) There was bandaids everywhere and grimmy feeling in every corner.

no where near 4 star resort

Pool and hot tub is awesome great view but was heavy snowing most of the time

We stayed in the annex building and found it to be very disappointing. The room was small, the view was another building about 6 feet away, and the walls were all patched up. The pool was great

I like the pool and the underground parking. As well as convenience to get to banff

Rooms smelt like strong air freshener that was trying to hide something. Hotel is very run down. Kids enjoyed the pool

It was just okay, seemed unorganized and a little run down

Property had an awesome restaurant and pool facilities

Overall our stay was good. We stayed in the annex building and not sure we would ever again. We would try for the main hotel. The parking was awful. We have an suv and there was next to no parking spots to accommodate that. If you came back after supper there were no spots. The main hotel looked great though.

Amazing value.

We thought we were staying at the main lodge, but we are at the side building, which is pretty old and outdated. The entrance to the swimming pool is very tight, and no room to change. Disappointed with the amenities.
The location of the hotel is close to the trains, which was noisy throughout the night. Not a resort of any kind!

We stayed In the annex building and were not impressed. The room was mostly clean, however there was a fairly thick layer of dust on top of the headboards. The dial to change the temperature of the shower was broken, and the hair dryer died after 5 minutes.
There are no change rooms in the main building for the swimming pool, so we had to use the washrooms, which were sopping wet along with the hallway leading up to the pool.
The pool itself was ok, but a total echo chamber so was extremely loud when busy. One of our kids didn't want to be there at all. The inside to outside hot tub was pretty nice, however.
We might try the main building sometime, but will not be returning to stay in the annex building.

The lock on our door broke and we were unable to get into our room (which had my wallet, car keys, everything inside) for 2 hours. After going swimming me and my 5 year old daughter were unable to access our room with the key card. We had to walk back and forth to the main building several time for the cards to be remade. We had come from the pool so had wet hair and not appropriate cloths for the winter weather and nobody was able to help us. When someone did help us after 30 minutes they just tried my card again and said we need maintenance. We waited 1.5 hours (!) for maintenance to get us access to our room. I had a very cold, hungry and tired 5 year old who’s one night in the mountains was completely ruined by the ridiculous amount of time that we needed to wait for maintenance to get us into our room. Awful experience!

Parking was not great for the separate building, from the main. Spaces were small and not enough for the potential amount of guests. We made it work. The pool area felt run down and/or dated. Everything seemed adequate although we didn’t receive cleaning services for the stay. To be expected, over Christmas day and Boxing day.

Pretty mediocre all around and poor parking.

We booked for our family vacation over the Christmas break. It met our needs in terms of rooms, having a kitchen etc. we loved having a steam shower and jacuzzi tub in the condo along with having the pool with water slide for the kids. The property has gotten more run down over the years since we first stayed there (I.e carpets in common halls are curling and are trip hazards). We had a tulle and couldn’t park underground but was able to find parking outside in the back of the building

Our room was booked through hotels.com. It was as excepted and priced accordingly, a simple room, nothing fancy, very busy hot tub/ pool area.
Our only issue was getting a room on the main floor underneath the stairs, room 189 in the annex building. It was very loud at all hours of late night and early morning.

Great stay
Great upgrade

Room was nice and cozy. For the price needed some serious upgrades though - flooring in rough shape, tiles broke and falling off around shower and bathroom floor, walls need a fresh coat of paint. Hallways in rough shape ; carpet coming apart every where - serious tripping hazard for my kids.
Pool set up is awesome! The paddling pool needs some work as the finish on the slide is coming apart. The floor in the pool area is an absolute skating rink! Kids fall and hurting them selves constantly.
We enjoyed our stay but when you pay premium price I do expect the facilities to be premium quality !

Not worth the price.

Great view of the mountains and loved the hot tub, staff were also very helpful

Second time staying and enjoy the amenities of the property. The pool was too cold for our little one unfortunately and the steam showers are a little complicated to use for a basic shower. All in all a good stay for a family. Love the underground heated parking as well.

Nice view. No shower room for the pool. Really tight parking space.

Canmore is Banff 25 years ago.

The location is great. The staff super accommodating even with an early check in. Mountain views can’t be beat.

Everything was broken, tv, coffee machine, sink.
Tiles missing in elevator, tripped everytime. Garage door broke so we had to park down the street in the cold. Beds are super hard. Pool needs upgrades, whole hotel needs upgrades

Staff is friendly and the location is convenient

Very enjoyable

The rooms were big and location is great. However they did not clean the rooms throughout our stay. We also had many interactions with staff that gave us the wrong information and had to wait multiple times for service at the front desk.

Phoned and indicated a late check-in, no mention of a time limit. Received a text at 10:40pm if we didn't check in within 20mins we had to go ti a different hotel. Staff had shutdown all computers, made me sign a blank piece of paper(???) And handed me a terrible map on how to get to tge parking garage (not the easiest to find). Jacuzzi tub didn't work, steam shower didn't work... large spacious room with things thrown in and oddly placed - weird layout and staging. I would never waste money on staying here again.
4.0
Nice enough place. Pool and water slide closed for maintenance during our entire stay. Staff really knew nothing about closure

Was excited to stay here. Unfortunately was very underwhelmed and disappointed in the property. We ultimately chose this hotel for the pool. The photos online are very deceiving. The pool is freezing both in and out of the water. Barely any lighting. The paint is chipping off of the frog and basically everywhere in the kids pool. The hot tub was the saving grace you could say. Room is definitely run down. More scratches on the floors then no scratches. I dropped some applesauce on the floor, wiped it up and the paper towel was black. The beds are comfy enough. Unfortunately the bathroom showers are these weird capsule enclosures. With black mold all around the seams and way too many buttons. I don’t know if they tried to add these as a luxury to overcompensate but it’s failed. I will NOT be staying here again for 250$ a night I expected more. Looks like I’ll spend 350$ next time and get a clean hotel.
