If you simply need a clean place to sleep this place is very good. No amenities at all. This is a bare bones operation but it fills a niche. Morning breakfast and staff were very very good.

Second time staying here because we enjoyed our first stay. Not too far from main places we needed to go to. Staff is friendly and breakfast was good except there was mold on a slice of bread that kinda ruined my appetite the 2nd day there.

My room of 2 Queen beds and a sectional couch was clean and neat. My Mother loved being able to sit on the couch instead of the bed or office chair.The entire property was updated and clean! The daily breakfast was exceptional with a variety of foods for everyone and changed daily. We were there for 5 days and it was quiet and relaxing! I’d definitely rebook with this hotel!

First, we arrived at the airport and was told the shuttle was no longer running for the day. Huge inconvenience, when i booked this hotel for the convenience of a shuttle. Second, the shower backed up and we had to stand in ankle deep water for our showers. Disgusting. And the final end of our stay we were told rhe shuttle would be arriving soon and theyd notify us. Apparently they forgot to tell us so we had to wait for an additional 30+ minutes for the next shuttle. Upon notifying the staff no apologies were given or compensation for having these issues. For the price of this hotel i would not stay here again. Alot of money for a little service. Disappointed.

Our trip was solely based on visiting southern California colleges. Our days were long and exhausting and the one thing we hoped for was a decent sized quite space. The space in our room was the best of any hotel in this area at this level. The noise on the other hand was the worst. We were on the 4th floor and it just so happened to be windy 2 nights of our 3 night stay, with that being said there where palm trees that hit the window all night long, the room right above us did not realize there were people below them and walked round in the middle of the night with heavy feet and the cleaning service decided to clean at 12:30am, this hotel does not have carpets so there is nothing to absorb the sounds, the hotel is right next to the metro and does not have sound proof windows or they do just not good enough so you hear it going by at all time. My recommendation to anyone thinking of staying here would be to request a room opposite of the street side on the top floor.

Stayed for 4 nights at Hyatt place LAX El Segundo, on a family trip to take my grandson to Universal Studios. The location is about an hour and 15 minutes away from universal studios with traffic. It is right off the 405 freeway so very easy access. The location is very good and it is also a little over a mile away from LAX and a couple of miles away from Manhattan Beach. The hotel is very very clean and modern. There is an outside pool and jacuzzi but we did not get to use it because it was kind of cool outside. There is free breakfast in the morning with choice of real eggs, bacon, sausage and potatoes, along with other pastries and of course coffee. Didn't really interact too much with any staff besides check-in and check out but everyone seem very friendly. We did have an issue on the third day/night with the cable being out as well as Wi-Fi . We were given $20 off for that day/night which I guess was fair . Check out was very easy. The location is in kind of an industrial area so really not much to walk to. But everything is a very close drive.

Very clean and friendly environment. We enjoyed the patio area briefly until the rain came and then took our drinks inside. Very comfortable and quiet stay! The LA area can be a little crazy but this area was nice and i felt safe.

OK place for business travel or quick night near the airport. Has a few miles on it and I thought the $25 fee for guest parking was ridiculous. How else are you supposed to get there in LA? The rental car (Avis) was only $35/day for heavens sake.

This hotel suited our needs for a layover. It's clean, quiet, and comfortable. HOWEVER we had an absolutely unacceptable experience with the overnight security guard named Tai. We were going to be leaving for a morning flight at 7 am, and my husband went to the lobby at about 4:30 am to sit and work before leaving. When he looked into the breakfast area, a large man sitting in the lobby - no uniform, no badge, nothing to verify his employment - said "You can't go in there." My husband explained that he was looking for a place to work and continued wandering. He circled back near the breakfast area and the man stated that he was a security guard and said loudly "I told you not to go back there; I'm calling the police." There was no talking him down. He called the police on a hotel guest for trying to find a quiet place to sit with his laptop. After the police came and went, my husband, now shaken, walked to a different hotel nearby and asked if he could sit in the lobby. The front desk staff said he could. Then that same security guard wandered in - turns out the two hotels are under the same management - yelled, "I TOLD YOU YOU CAN'T BE HERE," and threatened to call the police once again. He also threatened to wake me and kick us both out of the hotel. When my husband explained that I have a disability and wouldn't be able to get out that quickly, he asked very personal questions about my medical information. The entire experience was appalling.

Excellent stay. Room was big, clean. Loved the non-carpeted floors. Clean property. Excellent parking. Great location being close to LAX and the beach. No microwave but there was one in the lobby area. Will definitely stay again.

I chose this location to attend a concert at Kia Forum. I purposely chose this area as it is away from the sound of planes and I didn’t want to stay in Inglewood. The location and the hotel was very quiet; the room was clean and the housekeeping staff warm and friendly. The front office staff were helpful but lacked any welcome. Overall a good stay for what we needed.

The property itself was great for our needs. Breakfast was excellent and the staff were lovely. I am giving the three star because the shuttle service is atrocious. I’m not sure what the contract is there but… it took 1.5 hours for us to be picked up and the driver was ignoring calls - we witnessed it. We almost missed our flight in the morning because the shuttle was late - the first shuttle of the day. I understand there is traffic in LA but if a driver literally can’t make it for the 6 am start of a shift - there is a problem. We ended up ubering to the airport and made it with ten minutes to spare. Others were ubering with us and explained they also had issues with the shuttle pickup.

I would suggest not a relying on the hotels shuttle service. Perhaps it was the holiday. Being December 30 but we waited an hour and a half for the shuttle and numerous calls. We weren’t the only couple or party looking for the shuttle. LAX airport is not the best in terms of coordination of land, shuttles, parking services, and hotels. That may have contributed to the problem. But an hour and a half is way too long. Then when the bus dropped us off for our hotel. He actually dropped us off at a hotel adjacent to the Hyatt Plaza and told us oh just walk around and then go in that back door on the right.not really stellar. Not one of my usual experiences with Hotels.com. The greeting was nonexistent at the desk probably because it was late 11 o’clock but I think they were aware that they had a problem. Next time order an Uber.

PARKING - This is the first time we had to say "We better leave early (from family btw) so we can find parking at the hotel". If you return to this hotel after 9:30pm, GOOD LUCK, there are limited spaces and they'll send you next door to the Marriott's parking structure, and even then it's slim chances. THE WALLS ARE THIN - the bathroom door, the walls, window and hotel doors are paper thin. You hear everything and everyone. We stayed 5 days and had loud neighbors every night at 2:30am, the Hotel Employees did what they could do but seriously, you can't fight thin walls. THE BREAKFAST SUCKS - The sausage and french toast were so tough you needed a knife, coffee mugs were always out & weren't replaced, the plates were stored ABOVE THE BUFFET - so not handicap friendly - I had to ask strangers to get a plate for me, the area isn't cleaned by employees, food on the floor and tables. The 2nd Star is for our room....very clean, the beds are really comfy and every employee we saw were really friendly. This hotel is definitely on our "NEVER RETURN" list!
