Sumptuous Grandeur

A grand mansion flat overlooking the square adjacent to the cathedral - what more could one want? Nikolai was the most attentive host and the apartment was huge and well-equipped. We lived every minute of our stay.

Charming rooms for a quintessential Italian experience!

The host was very responsive and made special arrangement for us to leave our luggage there. They made up the sleep sofa which was the most comfortable one I have ever slept on. The rooms were lovely and the balcony looking over the Duomo Piazza was a delightful place to eat breakfast. I wish we had more time and better weather to use the expansive rooftop patio space available as well. All-in-all a very nice experience.

The elevator was not working, but that certainly was not the fault of the apartment owner, and the steps to this apartment were not bad at all unlike many other apartments in Cefalu!

The decor is gorgeous! Beautiful pieces throughout a very clean, open apartment. You can't beat the location! Great views from the rooftop! Emanuela was super sweet and recommended great restaurants. Wish we could stay longer! If I go back to Cefalu, this is where I'll be staying.

The restaurants they recommended were booked up! So ask in advance so you can make reservations!

BEWARE: False Advertising & Property Manager Integrity - Confirm Piazza Views (Not Back Alley)

Location: Center of piazza Rooftop deck: Nice view overlooking Piazza & La Rocca, careful as it's a bit of treacherous staircase to rooftop

BEWARE: Property Falsely Advertises All Rooms Have Historic Piazza Views FALSE Advertising/Bait & Switch: Room was advertised with beautiful balcony overlooking historic Piazza but upon arrival, dark room in back of property facing the alley that only had view of other peoples hanging laundry. Sadly similar to other Booking reviews, Palazzo Maria's advertising falsely lead us to believe that the apartment would be opening on to the piazza - like the photos they advertised. After 2 years of the pandemic, we only booked this property for the large windows and balcony onto the square. Property Manager Integrity: Upon our arrival, we showed the manager our room details showing the view. After initially lying, he back stepped and decided to blame Booking.com - Note that Properties post the pictures for the rooms (not Booking). It was clearly a bait and switch for a much less desirable room which faced an alley way of other peoples laundry (see photos). The worst part is that they advertise the historic piazza views for every room. Sadly he admitted that they have done this before, admitting that only 3/4 of the 7 rooms actual have piazza views. Knowing he's falsely advertising and continuing to do it is unfair and just not right. We respect the Booking.com community so please don't stay here until this is addressed. We don't want more people to be mislead by the false advertising from this property. That's clearly unfair for vacationers knowing this time is so important.

Superb

Amazing location. Can't be beaten. I loved sitting on the balcony and watching the piazza down below. It was great to have a lift.

Small shower, but that's just a preference and I've obviously been spoiled in the past.

Central location.

Location is great as you are essentially on the main square when you step out of the door. Lovely and helpful owner. Rooftop is a nice spot to chill, but unfortunately there is a lot of smell from nearby restaurants which sort of destroys the experience. Also the chairs there are not too comfortable. Room was nice and quite clean, but did not seem to get cleaned every day. I like the big fridge in the kitchen.

Elevator is a disaster. It is so slow, that it is useless for transporting people - only for luggage basically. Frying oil smell from nearby restaurants. Car park is quite far away, and owner has no convenient way to transport guests. If our room, would be facing the main square it would be a horrible experience as people stay there and chat until 3 in the morning. Other side however is very peaceful. Bathroom and shower are small and hot water is difficult to set.

The location is very central, the host was very friendly and the space was very spacious.

the Sofa bed was not very comfortable on the back and it arched downwards

Breathtaking view if you get a flat facing the piazza.

We absolutely loved our stay! The view from the livingroom-balcony was breathtaking, the size of the apartment incredibly huge. As the bedroom was not facing the piazza it was very quiet and therefore comfortable to sleep. In general the whole building was pretty calm. Staff was very nice, the apartment itself clean. We didn't use any kitchen equipment so we can't say anything about that.

1) According to the staff you can't pick your apartment orientation - if you call in advance they will write down your preferences though (which they fulfilled in our case). 2) The bed. Personally we prefer one double mattress over two single ones. Also the headboard is just a (beautiful) board placed behind the bed, so it kept slamming against the wall every time we moved a pillow.

Great stay

Very well located and with a great view! We had the key with no difficult, staff was very great. Appartement was big.

The apartment is a little bit old and need some renovation I think. The old hairdryer was not powerful at all. The room with the sink was smelling bad. In the bathroom there was no pressure at all for the water. You cannot pee, and your partner can't have shower in the same time...

The view of the terrasse was unbelievable, we had duomo as neighbor. The apartment is so well located, on the principal square of the old town. We loved our stay! And Emanuela was so nice with us! Everything perfect, strongly recommend!!!!

View from the terrace was to die for!!

The view from my balcony & from the roof terrace was to die for!! This was definitely the highlight for me! Also the staff were so welcoming & went out of the way to accommodate all my requests.

The main square could be a bit lively late at night in ‘normal’ times but that is part & parcel of staying so centrally.

Amazing location in the heart of Cefalu. Very big and spacious apartments. Emanuela was so warm and friendly explaining everything to us.

We had no issues with the noise from the square, considering the location but we were woken up by the garbage collection people really early in the morning.

Beautilful, loved it

I loved the room and the colors, it was located right in the Duomo and was perfect. Cefalu is a great city. Our host was very nice and helped quickly with everything. I enjoyed my stay the room and shower was good. I would stay here again. Cefalu is a delightful place, our stay at Palazzo Maria was very nice. Eat at the Agora restaurant right outside the hotel. La Rocca was outside our window and small old streets with balconies. it was soo cute and Italian style old
