Was a quick over night stay. The front desk agent was very friendly! We appreciated the upgrade for more room! Beds were so comfortable!

The hotel and staff was nice enough but the restaurant wasn’t great and left us both feeling fairly sick the rest of the night. Also there was a U14 kids hockey team staying there and they were beyond disruptive and rude running down the halls, banging on doors and being an overall nuisance and nothing was done about it. Overall the hotel could’ve been good but the stay was awful.

Have stayed at this property before, this was the first time I didn't feel super safe as a female travelling alone for work.
Upon getting off the elevator on my designated floor, there were two male individuals just hanging out on the chairs, I'm assuming they were patrons of the hotel but they looked pretty questionable/hard-up and also didn't get up to get on the elevator. I scurried off into the direction of my room, and one of them proceeded to get up and watch what room I went into, and tried to wave me down.
I should have called the front desk and asked for a room change, but I got into my room and promptly locked the door.

This hotel was in a great location and very nice. We went during the coldest time of the year and having a parkade was amazing! The staff at the restaurant attached to the hotel were very kind and the food was good. The rooms are clean, beds comfortable! Only issue was the amount of cold air coming in around the venting system to outside. It was freezing outdoors but you don't expect the air to be flowing in from the bottom of it. We decided not to move rooms because we had a bunch of stuff set up for our daughter, so we just stuffed blankets in there, however if it was just us we definitely would have asked to swap.

The front desk staff are extremely friendly and helpful. We received a complementary upgrade upon arrival, and they allowed us to check out 2 hours late, free of charge. Hotel is clean and amenities are nice. The only negative is the restaurant attached - not very clean, lots of drinks on the menu were unavailable, and the service was just okay.

The breakfast and the restaurant wad quite bad, both regarding breakfast assortment, but mainly due to bad service.

The only complaint I have is the continental breakfast. Definitely was not even close to being enough food for one grown adult the child’s menu was was absolutely ridiculous. I don’t know how old the kids are feeding, but definitely was not enough food, and it said fruit on the menu there was no food to be had. I went down in the morning to grab a coffee and wait before my children would wake up, but they would not hurt me to coffee unless I paid for it, or give them my voucher which was absurd. overall my stay with this holiday inn was good. Besides, the continental breakfast part was the worst I have ever been in my entire life and I travel and stay in a lot of hotels around the world, and in Canada, and especially in Alberta will never ever ever go to that hotel again because the continental breakfast is unacceptable.

Took a very long time for the phone to be answered so long that we called about 4 times and had to give up and actually go to the lobby to extend our stay by an hour

Hotel was great, pool was awesome! Hotel staff were friendly and helpful, but restaurant treated us terribly!
The restaurant Pacini was terrible! Our waiter treated my 9 and 10 year old very rudely! When the waiter finally seated us after having to wait for 10 minutes despite it
not being busy… he asked my 9 year old what he wanted for breakfast and he replied “traditional breakfast please” the waiter then stared him down. I thought the waiter didn’t hear my son so I said, “he wants the traditional breakfast” the waiter then replies in a very rude and nasty tone, “ I KNOW THAT! How do you want your eggs!?!!?!” He didn’t even inform my son what his choices were! Then he did same to my 10 year old!
When I saw the waiter, in stark contrast, treat an asian family very friendly it made me wonder if our metis status had something to do with it.
Whatever the case, my children didn’t deserve to be treated that way. I would never go back to that restaurant ever again!
