Convenient location, great rooms and friendly staff.

Lovely property in a great location around 10 minute walk to the night bazaar

I was pleasantly surprised with this property, it’s in a great location, I got a high floor as requested and room was spacious and modern and I got to wash my clothes in the washing machine (it’s the little things) as I am traveling light I need to wash everyday. The rooftop pool was amazing and local food vendors just outstanding. The door staff at entrance were fabulous and even helped me rent a bike. I was booked into the Mecure and it was that bad I checked out and so glad I found this place! There are no staff to speak of on site so you must be respectful of people around you and of course someone’s investment in the property, so leave it clean and tidy so others can enjoy it as well.

We had a great 3 night stay at the Astra! We loved the view, great pool, spacious accommodations and the ability to do some laundry!! Would recommend to any friend spending time in Chiang Mai.

It’s a amazing building with amazing staffing and everything is within walking distance.

The location is quite good, it was safe, pool and gym room looks good on the top roof. The towel was not clean enough.

Anta Residence was very nice and well located near the night bazaar and other markets. The security was good and the instructions to get access to the room were easy and worked without problem. There were tour companies in the lobby that helped us book a day with the elephants as well as a taxi to take us to the airport. Prices for both were what we expected. The pool was very nice with a great view from the 16thn floor. There were few chairs however so you have to get lucky to get one. We were disappointed in a few missing items in the apartment however. There were no hand towels in the kitchen nor any in the bathroom. We had to use bath towels for all drying whether in the kitchen, the bathroom or at the pool. There was also no hot water in any of the taps except the bath (which was fine). It would also have been nice if a little dish soap was provided to help keep the dishes clean. Also, no toaster which I consider pretty much a standard item in an apartment. If you know about all these things the place is very good as mentioned above.

The condo is nice and clean. And it provide the washing machine. The swimming pool is great too!

The location was great. The hotel staff is friendly. The rooftop pool and views were fantastic. The room itself was a bit small but manageable for a single or couple. There was also very minimal supplies in the kitchen. There were no paper towels/napkins in the kitchen and there was also no way to wash the dishes. There were also wet towels left in the washer when we arrived.

Great place to stay close to the old city and near the wonderful night market. The pool is a bit small and the rooms could have been cleaner but overall it was a great deal and a beautiful place. Another great perk was having a clothes washer so we didn't have to spend time and money going to laundry.

I booked 3 nights, All was good until my last night, There is a shared garden area which was next to my condo, On my last night at close to midnight, I was just getting ready to go bed when heard screaming and shouting coming from garden area, I went out and there was several young Australians Drinking, smoking, screaming and shouting, I asked them to be quite but got a barrel of abuse, I then tried calling the number for management office (which was left in Condo for problems) but no answer. The location is good, not so far between the old city, but the building was seemed hard to find, firstly the tours could not make it, you have to show him "Near Shangrila Hotel", the view of top floor swimming pool is very good, gym room is good, and there was confuse about the "12A XX room" actually that's on the 13th floor, but the key card was no information

Awesome place, very friendly staff. We initially got lost finding the location, but the issue was google trips and possible english to/from thai translations with various apps.

We have reserved two rooms in this hotel for a periods of 4days. The check in was unpleasant, we just got an email a that we should take a photos of our passport and send to .... well nobody knows, because there were any kind of informations where should we send it. Secondly, we just got one key card to the room(per two person), so everything we had to do together. Nonsense! These are the parts which are negative. But all in all our stay was pleasant. Very nice clean and air conditioned rooms. Nice swimming pool in the rooftop. So the hotel will be perfect if they changed these things I have written about at the first.

i think not have been offered extra set of keys threw me off specially not knowing that if you dont have the keys you cant stay inside the apartment because it controls everything. there is not a front desk but the bellman was extremely helpfull

We arrived in Chiang Mai around 10am, we read he reviews and saw that no one could find the “anta residence”. Well, that’s because it’s not a place. Everyone said it’s in the astra but there are four astra locations. So we didn’t know where to get dropped off. It took us about 30 minutes to find which was well expected already. We finally arrive and drop off our bags, check in is not until 3pm so we did exploring and came back around 6:30. We get to our room and there is a FAMILY OF FOUR IN OUR ROOM. It took us about three hours to get this fxed. On the phone with someone (still don’t know his title) and he refused to come to this location because he was on duty. There is no front desk because this is NOT a hotel it is a residence. It was very nice don’t get me wrong but the service was absolutely horrible. I told the front door man (who was the only person who actually helped btw) what was going on and he called the owner and insisted she come down here. She did not but she sent the guy from the phone. He ended up giving us the maids room....... I’m sorry we paid $80 to stay in the maids room? It had trash all over it so he needed to clean it while we were in there. I would recommend this residence as the amenities were very nice. But stay at your own risk.

The remote for the television was missing and when trying to get hold of someone to help us get hold of a remote we experienced how difficult it was to get hold of someone from Anta Residence. You see the people who are operating the apartment building is different from Anta Residence. There is no reception desk for Anta customers. We wrote to Anta on Facebook as advised by the welcome letter. They were really slow to respond and our service experience was terrible. The building is really nice and in a good condition. The location is great and the gym is awesome.

Absolutely loved the stay here. It’s a condo so it’s a little different than a hotel. The guards and hotel security are very helpful and nice. It’s about a 10-15 minute walk to old city but it’s not a bad walk we enjoyed it. We rented a moped from the condo as well. Overall would definitely recommend staying here. Very nice and very good location.

This was a great place to stay. A little walk away from old city but the walk was a nice one each time. The guards are exceptionally nice and willing to help with anything you may ask. They gave us a motorcycle for a few hours to drive out to dinner and around town. Overall very happy staying in this condo and would definitely recommend it. The bed wasn’t the most comfortable but it wasn’t the worst thing ever.

Pros: nice condo, beautiful view, pool is wonderful, safe, well secured Cons: smells like sewage, bed is harder than the floor (not atypical for chiang mai), minimal neccesities (1 toliet paper, no cups for coffee, no paper towels, no detergent for washer) Communication was lacking. I tried to contact someone for tours and no one responded. Also, its called anta but it's inside Astra, which made it confusing for tours/taxi pick up. No one could find it.

Was very pleased with the room. The service was good, the room was beautiful, the location was nice, and all for a very reasonable price. Stayed for 3 nights and tried to extend the stay but was already booked the next day. Only minor complaints were the awkward shower heating where it took a while to get hot and then one side of the shower faucet was burning hot, and then some of the doors in the hallways were confusing to open.
