Nestled in Camps Bay, this charming villa for $526 per night is a fantastic option for your next break. 4 Star grading ! Luxury living ! Best location in Camps Bay! Compact home with small garden and plunge pool 5 bedroomed holiday home all bedrooms en suite available throughout the year. Sleeps 8. But the villa can be let as a smaller home. It is a compact home and one or two of the rooms downstairs can be closed to make it suitable and cosy for guests wanting a smaller house Consisting of 2 of the original historical cottages, the Bayleaf has retained the charm and character of the early nineteen hundreds. Although renovated twice, it retains the original oregon floors and beautiful teak shutters. It has been tastefully renovated and has all the modern conveniences. Upstairs there are 3 very spacious bedrooms all ensuite. The main bedroom has a King size bed and a balcony with amazing views . One can actually see the cable car going up to the top of Table Mountain. The second and third bedrooms upstairs both have queen size beds. Downstairs there are 2 bedooms. These can be interleading if wanted. The one bedroom has a queen bed and leads out to the garden and pool . The bedroom next to this one has 2 single beds that can be made into a King bed. All about this day was amazing! We would recommend for all ages and large families. The house was huge. Beautiful in decor. Close to restaurants and the beach. Shirley the owner was an exceptional host. Very secure!

We stayed at Shirley's property a week ago in Cape Town. This was the perfect vacation rental for our group. We had 2 couples and 3 singles, so everyone could get their own bathroom (and a convenient powder room by the kitchen). There were also 2 main floor rooms to accommodate my older parents who couldn't handle the stairs.
Before our stay, Shirley kindly answered all our questions and helped me feel secure taking everyone there. We had many questions about the load-shedding, so she helped us wrap our heads around it.
Her husband met us for check-in, showed us around the property, and helped us set up a CPAP machine for one of our guests on their inverter so that he could use it even while the power was off. There were also many adapters, so we didn't have to worry about buying a bunch.
The property was very homey and literally had everything you could need. Tons of cooking things, basics in the fridge, a homemade cake, sun hats, umbrellas, sewing kits, etc. If this is your only stop in Cape Town, you can leave a lot of things at home to save room in your bags.
The area was fantastic. Super easy walk to lots of restaurants and the beach right there in Camps Bay.
If you're worried about the load-shedding in Cape Town (which was up to 6 hours a day when we were there at the high point of winter). Shirley made sure to text us everyday with the schedule so we could plan around it. There were emergency lights and candles in every room.

Owners were excellent. We were pleasantly surprised by their housekeeper, Virginia, who kept the house immaculate and even did our laundry. The house was accurately described, very comfortable, very well-equipped and well located and secure. Our family of 5 stayed with plenty of space. Enjoyed the Camps Bay location being walking distance to restaurants, groceries, and the beach. We had an amazing time at Shirley’s home. As it is a real home, you feel so welcomed and comfortable right away. The house is huge with everything you need. The view from the garden and the balcony is stunning, onto lions head and table mountain. The house is only a short stroll away from the beach, the supermarket and the restaurants. Perfect location!
Shirley, her husband and Virginia are fabulous hosts! We can highly recommend the house and hope we will be back some day.

I would definitely recommend! Tons of room and a great location. Shirley was wonderful. The load sharing (daily schedules where the power is off) could be a problem if you use medical equipment as there is no generator for the property.

This property was perfect for our family of 8! Shirley has thought of everything from welcoming messages, some breakfast foods, beach bags ready to go in each room, coffee and tea and a wonderful housekeeper who helped keep us in clean clothes. The location is excellent - mere steps from the beach, restaurants and grocery stores. A very comfortable and welcoming home away from home. LOL...she even had face cloths which no one else seems to offer in SA.

Einfach nur traumhaft
In einer traumhafteren Umgebung kann man sich sein Feriendomizil nicht vorstellen. Das Haus ist sehr zentral gelegen und bestens ausgestattet. in einem der oberen Zimmer hat man vom Balkon direkt einen Ausblick auf den Tafelbert und den Lions Head. Von den anderen Fenstern einen Blick auf den Atlantik. Uns, eine Gruppe von 10 Frauen, hat es an nichts gefehlt. Bis auf Sonntags kam jeden Tag eine Putzfrau, die sogar unsere Spülmaschine ausgeräumt hat.
Unsere Vermietern, hat uns am Anreisetag direkt persönlich mit einem selbstgebackenen Kuchen in Empfang genommen. Auch war sie sehr hilfsbereit und ist jederzeit auf unsere Wünsche eingegangen. Wir haben uns sofort sehr heimisch gefühlt. Unsererseits gibt es keinerlei Kritikpunkte. Ein Top Haus und eine wirklich perfekte Vermietern :))).

Cape Town is an amazing holiday destination with plenty of sights to see and beauty to take in - I've travelled extensively internationally and this place is like no other. BEST family vacation we've ever had due in no small measure to the Bayleaf and Shirley.

Our family of 7 had a wonderful stay at Shirley’s beach house. Although being almost winter it wasn’t beach weather we enjoyed the fabulous location close to the beautiful beach and some bracing walks . The restaurants and cafes in Camps Bay were excellent and just a short walk which was ideal as we didn’t need to drive. A great supermarket 5 minutes away was also very useful.
Shirley was a superb host , helpful and friendly, the staff were lovely and there was a birthday cake waiting for our arrival- we were really touched by this gesture. We had a superb time exploring Capetown and the surrounding area - the only problem was we didn’t have longer to stay. It was a wonderful start to our 2 week holiday in South Africa and I would highly recommend a visit . Thank you again Shirley

My wife and I stayed with our 2 daughters aged 8 and 5 and our parents. We found Shirley to be so lovely and accommodating. The villa was easily big enough with so many lovely en-suite bedrooms and kitchen facilities, and the main kitchen had every convenience you could wish for. Add in the great position, just 2 mins walk from the beach and Pick n Pay, some great Camps Bay weather and we had the most wonderful stay. Thank you.
