When we get there they don’t have any parking so we have to go to a parking garage about 1/8th of a mile from the hotel to park and walk in the dark down a un lit street. Even though we booked for 2 nights and we had the do not disturb on the door, they still beat on the door at 8:00 and woke me up then came back at 9:00 and woke me up. I guess they want everyone out of the rooms early

The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. It was a busy weekend in Indy with the Mini Marathon and Pokemon Regionals, and our stay was very comfortable and mostly quiet. We stayed on an old train, which was a fun experience.

The hotel itself was very cool, my 4 year old loved the train and glass elevator. He also loved the indoor pool but I was worried about the noise level since it wasn’t enclosed. My only complaint was there was a wedding the night we stayed and the music was on until 11 pm and we could hear it in our 3rd floor room. Staff was great and friendly!

The hotel was very clean and the staff were all helpful and polite. Our bed was comfortable and our room was clean. The mini fridge didn’t get very cold but otherwise it was a great experience!

in the morning there was no hot water, but after breakfast (around 11am) there was hot water
the key cards were a bit iffy in opening the door. it takes a few tries
the rooms seem a bit dark, probably because it's only lamps and no over head lighting.

The hotel was very interesting. The original Union Station. The rooms look fine but with a closer look sort of run down. Rooms were clean. Check in was slow. Construction is happening next door. We walked to the Gain bridge Fieldhouse with no issues. There are trains you can stay in.

I brought my grandson on a trip and we both loved the ambiance of the hotel! It was very clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay here again! Front desk personnel were very friendly and helpful!

The images on line were much nicer than the actual room. The pillows were lumpy, the mattress very hard and the blanket was short. The in room amenities were less than expected. There was no valet or self parking. We had to park 2 blocks and across construction to park and pay an additional parking fee. The attendant said it was 20 and it was 60 to park overnight.

The room was very nice. Hotel staff was super helpful and friendly. Even helped out on letting me use thier personal phone charger to allow me to get my battery juiced up. The hotel itself is awesomely interesting because of its history and what they've done to it in turning from a train station into a hotel. The location was exactly what we were looking for, being that it was a short walk to Gainbridge Fieldhouse and across the road to the Indiana Convention Center.

Throughly disappointed in our stay, first- heavy construction next door with jack hammers. Second- toilet required maintenance to work. Third- thermostat did not work correctly even after reporting to maintenance and supposedly being fixed. Fourth-no bottled water in room. Fifth-restaurant is substandard with poor service, etc. Will not stay here again, and recommend any of the other quality hotels that within a couple of blocks. This hotel is definitely not worthy of the rating or price.

Got the train car for our anniversary was really nice everyone was very nice would go back again

Initially was given the a key that didn’t work along with multiple other guests checking in at that time. We also had to go back to the front desk and talk to multiple employees to finally get our breakfast vouchers which they initially said was not included.

I booked a train car, and when I got there I was told that the room I booked was not available, so they “upgraded” us to a different room. That room wasn’t bad, but it was certainly not an “upgrade.” I was asked later how things were, and I said I was disappointed with the room, since it wasn’t the one we booked. It seemed overpriced since it wasn’t the train car that I spent extra on. That person told me that I never booked a train car, and the one we were in was the one we had booked all along! I was told this by two different people, even though when we checked in, I didn’t say anything at all about and the person checking us in was the one who brought up the room change, so we obviously did, and that was what made me more mad than anything. Another employee that we talked to made it sound like it was a normal occurrence to have people book these special rooms and then not get them because they are oversold. Accommodations are fine, but their business practice needs some work.

Loved staying in the train cars. The staff was extremely friendly

The hotel didn’t utilize the fully paid for hotels.com reservation that I supplied upon check in. However, they charged my credit card for the entire stay. We paid $36 for the hot breakfast buffet and was even given the times for breakfast upon check in BUT was told in the morning that there’s not enough guests to offer a buffet. No apologies, no refunds. I’ve made countless calls to the hotel trying to get the billing issues resolved to no avail and now, we’re 10 days into it. Hotels.com has been of no use in resolving any of these issues either. To make matters worse, my husband of nearly 30 years left his wedding band in the shower. He realized it when heading towards the airport. The hotel was contacted immediately and referred to a website that deals with lost and found. After paying a sizable fee, we breathed a sigh of relief it was found. Guess what? As of today, the ring has not been returned just like the countless calls to the Crown Plaza’s manager asking for help in getting this resolved. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a beautifully unique upscale hotel and we had hoped to go back to stay in the train car suites in Feb ‘24 with our grandchild but unless they can properly address the current issues, it’d be a cold day in Hell before I’d stay there again and I’d have very serious reservations about handing them access to my credit cards because of how reckless they’ve handled the one they had access to up until this point. I’ll update you if we find resolution.

When we were checking in there was a man later we were told he was homeless he walked up to the check in counter and said to my wife and i " cute kid it would be ashame if something happens to her" Then he was casting a spell on us. This scared my wife to the point she didn't want to stay. Neat property but i wouldn't stay again. The rooms were average out dated but seemed to be fairly clean.

We stayed in a train car room. The accomodations were very nice. The staff seemed stressed out and boarderline rude. The valet was a hot mess. We had to wait an extended period of time to get our car out the following morning. The hotel was undergoing construction immediately outside the front door which detracted from our visit. If it wasn't for the train car ambiance, we prob wouldn't come back

Signage to and from the hotel via the inside tunnel to Lucas was very very poor. Front desk told me there was no total internal access to Lucas which was incorrect.

Felt great in my room, wouldn’t wander around that part of the city.

Perfect place to stay if you’re going to Lucas Oil or Gainbridge. Both within walking distance and tons of restaurants in walking distance too.

Friendly staff. We were upgraded due to it being our 40th anniversary. That was very nice! Great buffet breakfast included. Easy text messaging for questions/requests. Self serve cafe was nice. Easy walking to restaurants, bars and most importantly, Lucas Oil Stadium! Cons- no gift shop for toiletries/no airport shuttle. Would stay again!

We loved staying in the train car. Food was good at the restaurant at the hotel but the service was terrible.

We stayed here to have a unique date night. We had fun for the amount of time we were there, but the mattress was not great. The bed was old, dated, and noisy. We stayed in a car room, which was pretty cool. The bathroom was tiny, but there's not much room to work with, so it was fine for the space they were given. Overall, I probably wouldn't pick it again solely because of the mattress quality.

This was a sisters weekend getaway to the Steelers Colts game it was 2 blicks from the stadium. The parking wasn't good had to park 5 blicks from the hotel. The 123 restaurant was delicious

Trains comes through 2x a night. Ask to stay in the quiet side of the hotel. Very close to Lucas Field. Staff very friendly.

We went to see the Pittsburgh Steelers play the Indianapolis Colts. Even though the Steelers lost, the hotel was so close and everything about the hotel, from the valet parking attendants, to the front desk and wait staff was top notch!!! We had a blast!!

The property is absolutely beautiful. The staff is wonderful and very helpful! We very much enjoyed our stay. The only improvement I'd like to see is more items/options in the market on site but we would definitely stay here again! Love that it is connected to the convention center and close to everything downtown!

Terrible. I paid my money and never stepped one foot in the hotel. They wouldn’t give me my money back or reschedule another date. They said my plane got in too late for me to change hotels. I didn’t want to pay 58 dollars for parking. And my car was stolen that nite.

The area is great and very convenient for events. While the exterior of the hotel and lobby are nice the rooms are outdated. I could also hear everything going on outside my room, more than normal. I upgraded to include the breakfast buffet and it was mediocre. The staff was wonderful and very helpful. I would probably look for a different hotel though next time I am in Indianapolis.

Crowne Plaza knocked it out of the park. Great staff, great hotel, just a few minute walk to Lucas Oil to one side. A few minutes to the heart of downtown to the other. Will stay again.

I chose to stay here for the proximity to the Lucas Oil Stadium & it was perfect. It was very pricy, but convenient. I was traveling alone & wanted to feel safe in an unknown place & I did. The property is very nice & unique with a great feel & story. The restaurant was convenient, appropriately priced for this location, the food was very good & the service was good. I liked that the room had a keurig & a good sized fridge. The bed was very comfortable. The room overall was good - a normal, clean, functioning hotel room 🙂
Where it fell short was the annoyance of my door key. Every time...and I mean EVERY time...that I left and went back to my room, I had to go to front desk to have my key remade. They told me each time about magnets and cell phones...yada yada. That was not the problem. It wouldn't have been a huge deal but my feet had blisters from all of the walking I was doing.
So all in all, I very much enjoyed my stay. I just wish they had cared enough to take my issue seriously.
