The service was amazing. The front desk and the valet attendant were great, professional and welcoming. The hotel is old which we were okay with but the room we were in was so muggy, had a strong smell (a scent covering a bad smell) and the air conditioner had a bright light that wouldn’t turn off with the remote. The bed was not comfortable and the view was not a view. This room was one of the worst rooms I’ve ever stayed in. I wanted to love it and return, but afraid that the room will be as bad and as uncomfortable.

The hotel is full of character. If you are looking for updated and modern this is not your place, but if you enjoy eclectic character, historic features, kind employees, friendly atmosphere in a great location this is the best place a round. I would absolutely stay here again. In fact I can’t wait too! The staff was accommodating and went above and beyond. The rooms are old but that is part of what you are paying for in my opinion. They even supply ear plugs if you are concerned about the train.

This was a mother/daughter trip over spring break to just hang out, shop, and eat at great restaurants. It was perfect! The hotel is right on Park Avenue so we could go back to our room anytime we wanted and not worry about driving anywhere. The shopping is great but the restaurants are even better! It was nice to sit on the patio overlooking beautiful Park Avenue with a coffee or glass of wine. The hotel is older so you have to understand what you’re getting. There is no refrigerator or room service and everything around you is “dated” but that adds to the charm of the place. The most important thing was that the bed was comfortable and the staff was lovely. I definitely plan to return and highly recommend staying here.

You can’t beat the location of this hotel right in the heart of Park Ave in Winter Park. We stayed for a night as we had a special dinner that was walking distance from the hotel. Reception was very helpful, the hotel has plenty of charm as well. The room and bathroom certainly aren’t ultra modern or updated, but everything was clean and acceptable especially for our short stay. I would definitely return and recommend for anybody needing to stay in the area.

A wonderful historic hotel in the heart of Winter Park. A treat to stay there. Highly recommend

I have so much affection for the Park Plaza and the people working there were all great. But the unclean condition of the rooms and balcony, hallways, etc… was kind of shocking. No consistency with the cleaning. I tried 4 different rooms, stayed in 2. Some of the furnishings were dilapidated, unclean, broken, etc… from room to room the TV was smaller and not user friendly. Fans were not very functional, a lampshade was broken, all the wicker/rattan furniture was filthy and the seat cushions too. In my room the cushion cover was gone and they haphazardly tucked a big dirty old sheet around it!! Also my mattress in one room was ok and in the next was hard and flat as a pancake,…with no mattress cover!! I could go on and on but I was too tired and so in need of a rest, I just stayed and waaaay overpaid. Oh I don’t think I ever heard a vacuum and my room was filthy with dog hair and wads of dust balls.
Sorry to report all this but no one seemed to care or clean properly. I also found both rooms had a “junk drawer” full of tourist brochures, outdated tv instructions, junky menus, etc… the staff cleaned out the drawers after I asked them about it, but did no other things to assist my communication to them. I even turned away the maids for 4 days because they barely cleaned anyway and had no proper equipment.

This property was in a prime location in Winter Park. The staff was friendly and the hotel was unique with lots of history and charm. It had a beautiful balcony that you could sit out and enjoy the weather and the activity along Park Avenue. It was wonderful.

Love the location and the "old time" feeling of the Park Plaza Hotel. Staff was really nice (they may be the owners) and although the room was small it had a great atmosphere.

Very old. Floor creaky. Heard a train. Should’ve realized when I say ear plug. Bathroom sink didn’t drain. The staff were nice and accommodating

It’s a tour through history in a once very posh hotel. Staff is very courteous. It is in a nice neighborhood downtown winter park with lots of shopping and restaurants nearby. My room was a little small but the price wasn’t. I enjoyed it.

Only Hotel in Winter Park. Very nice but really old but that is the character of this hotel. Lighting in lobby seemed dim but again that was part of the character. Staff was very nice. The one section of the room floor seemed a little sticky but other than that everything was great. Didn't see any ice available or vending machine for sodas or snacks. All in all this is a prime location for a hotel as it is in the middle of Winter Park hot spot. Definitely get a balcony room! I would go back again if the price is right. I stayed Christmas Eve 2023.

This is a unique historic property in a great location. You can walk to everything in Downtown Winter Park, which is a lovely area with great restarants, museums and shops. The balcony overlooking the street was nice. The room was smaller than average & the price was a little high.

Cheap and you get what you pay for here. The walls are paper thin and I really don't want to have to hear my neighbor going to the bathroom. Any conversation can be easily heard thru the walls too. Bathroom was dirty.

The property is old and walls thin - adjacent room noise. Bathrooms small. Clean with adequate towels/bedding. Bed too soft. A/C worked. Staff was excellent. Valet service easy and efficient. Location excellent.

Area is great for shopping, eating and entertainment. The noise level however, is very loud after hours and hard to sleep at all hours.

The hotel has lots of character and charm, and yes it does have signs of wear and tear from years of service. The only critique we have is the TV was way too small. Other than that it was a hit for sure!

Very charming and lovely staff. Bathrooms should be upgraded. The potty is almost under the sink.

Perfect location in Winter Park right on Park Avenue! Charming & cozy, friendly staff and very clean.

Unacceptable. My tv stopped working and hour into my stay. Very nice staff tried to fix, offered another room and that didn't work either. Absolutely no compensation was offered. Although very cute in decor, it is wearing down. Only 2 outlets in room. 1 behind bed frame. I was stumbling around in complete darkness for 10 minutes trying to plug in my charger. Wood blinds on the door to balcony have large gaps allowing anyone to see in. One common balcony for all. Will not return.

The hotel was just what we were looking for. The location was excellent, and offered a variety of options of places to choose from. We loved the surrounding areas around the hotel. We plan on visiting there again.

This was such an amazing hotel. We felt like royalty. They had a bellman and the hotel staff was very cordial. It had an old classic look with an old elevator that had the gate door. We will definitely be back to visit.

My partner and I love this property. We’ve stayed here before and will stay here again thanks to its charm and walkability to restaurants, shops and the farmers market.

Excellent location. Historic building. Charming and unique . Be prepared to expect old buildings conditions . If you are a light sleeper you may wake up with outside noises . They need to update the on line info since it offers breakfast but they don’t.

Wonderful vintage Winter Park hotel! My family came here in July for my father in law's 90th birthday celebration. We took a red eye from across the country and they gratiously let us check in early. Check-in was fast since we booked through the Expedia app. Customer service was consistent and courteous. Housekeeping daily unlike other hotels. I love fresh towels and a clean room. My bed was comfortable and they have nice pillows not the ones that seem filled with sand.I appreciated the ice water and coffee in the lobby. I would highly recommend this vintage gem!

Advertised "free breakfast".... there was NO BREAKFAST! Disappointed since we had planned on the breakfast with our schedule.

I lived in Winter Park 40 years ago and booked a night at the old Park Plaza so I could meet with freinds at "Blu on the Ave" for dinner.
Park Plaza is a great place for your w/e getaway. If you want the feel of what it was like 100 years ago, this is the place. I has charm and gives the very meaning of boutique hotel. Staff is very friendly and personable.

No parking, no night stand on one side of bed,. Staff was good, enjoyed sitting on balcony. Thought website said there was a pool. Would not stay again
