Cleaners didn’t clean the room properly, left half empty coffee cups on the table, used wine glasses
Bed was really uncomfortable me and my partner both have come home with bad backs, the staff at reception (not all staff) we asked for some water to be sent to the room and her response was Il see what I can do. Left us 2 small bottles of water and charged us including a fee to drop them off.
Building works going on around the hotel so noisy when having breakfast

There was a disgusting smell of sewage that was coming from the bathroom. I mentioned this on the first night. The second night someone came to clean the drains, whilst me and my partner were in the room. Our whole experience was completely ruined due to the lack of both quality of service and lack of professionalism. I was advised by the hotel to reach out to booking.com for a full refund. Please could you see that this gets resolved. Many thanks

Hotel ist gut gelegen am Rand von St. Georgs Bay. Großes Angebot an Speisen und Restaurants. Der Zimmerservice und die servierten Speisen waren sehr gut. Frühstücksbuffett war auch sehr gut mit reichlich Auswahl.
Das Zimmer war schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Auf der Terasse lag Müll zwischen den Balkonen. Im Main Restaurant war beim Frühstück immer noch der Büfetttisch vom Vorabend mit verdreckter Tischdecke direkt am Eingang zum Frühstücksraum. Das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis passt aus meiner Sicht nicht mehr in Bezug auf Zimmerausstattung und Zustand des Zimmers.

Lots of different pools indoor and outdoor
Staff were rude and disrespectful to my wife speaking to a male customer in response to her questions simply who was standing 2 feet away simply because she was a female. Staff in the restaurant and reception wouldn’t help us get plates for our room. The plug in the bathroom didn’t work and it wouldn’t drain. Toilets next to the pool were filled with furniture and trash. Sunbeds were not placed out by the pool and we had to carry them ourselves, even though this was allegedly a 5 star hotel.

Nice quality hotel, well located and full of available additional facilities. Room (2nd) located not from the street side was very good. Breakfasts were fine, with nice choice of options. Nice personnel, willing to help.
Initially got a room with a street view, which was just in front of construction side. The works there were extremally noisy, starting around 7 am till late afternoon. Even if was most of the day at the conference, after return was impossible to think or relax. After change of the room for other side of the hotel was OK.

This is our 3rd time at this hotel and it seems to get better everytime, we went for a weekend to celebrate my wife's birthday and the fact the hotel staff went out of their way to celebrate my wife was truly amazing, from meeting Rolando at reception with his bubbly approach, to all the gifts coming to our room to make sure it was a birthday not to be forgotten, all the staff were very friendly and welcoming, will definitely be going back again.
Weekend went too fast.

Excellent breakfast. We were fortunate enough to be upgraded to a spacious suite which was lovely.
Room cleaning. Cleaner took a long time to get to our room and was there at about the time we returned from our morning outing and wanted an afternoon rest.

Location - right on the shore, overlooking the bay and with amazing view. Rooms are very spacious and clean. Food in the hotel is excellent, and several adjacent restaurants offer wide variety of choices for everyone. Staff was very nice and helpfull

The staff, absolutely everyone, was very kind and always helpful, as it is customary in 5* hotels. The breakfast was very nice and I appreciated the possibility to press your own fresh carrot juice ! The executive lounge with snacks and drinks was a nice touch.
The building is very run down and the amenities aren’t quite 5* worthy. The shower was clogged and the wind blew through the room, so it was a challenge to keep it warm in February.

The room is clean and spacious with really nice sea view! There was also a little birthday surprise prepared by the hotel's guest relations officer for my partner, which was amazing. I ordered a birthday cake and the cake was superb and aesthetically speaking, it even looked beyond what I expected. The breakfast and the facilities were superb as well. I'd love to come back.
The jacuzzi was always full of children so I could only use it once but at least the heated indoor pool was great :)

Frühstück sehr britisch ausgelegt, schlechte Brot-Qualität, extrem viele Kinder die beim Frühstück durch die Lobby toben..
Zimmer sind schon sehr verwohnt. Sofa in der Suite durchgesessen. Eigenartige Spülung, mehrfaches Pumpen notwendig!

Die Anlage ist top gepflegt, sehr gross, das Personal ist so freundlich und zuvorkommend. Junior suite 509 war top sauber und gross, Betten bequem. Frühstück wat so reichhaltig, dass wir manchmal nicht wussten was zuerst. Concierge Yvonne in der Executive Lounge war super höflich und hat einem jeden Wunsch erfüllt. Ein besseres Hotel gibt es in Malta nicht!

Pools waren gross und sauber, poolbar hatte genug Auswahl und Personal war stehts zur Stelle.
Die Insel ist sehr verdreckt, was in dem hotel nicht zu sehen war, im Gegenteil!

Nach der Anreise war mein Zimmer noch nicht beziehbar. Mir wurde mitgeteilt, dass ich einen Anruf bekomme, sobald es fertig ist. Nach einem Stadtrundgang bin ich später einige Zeit in der Lobby gesessen, als ich schlussendlich nachgefragt habe, wann das Zimmer beziehbar ist, war es schon längst fertig.

Breakfast not great. Not 5* standard and low quality with additional costs for non buffet items which other 5* hotels do not charge. Felt like a 3* hotel breakfast. Pool towels ran out in the afternoon and staff didn’t seem concerned about helping get pool towels.

It was a really easy check in process and check out, the location was great for us as we could walk into St Julian’s or get the bus into Sliema & Valletta.
Our room was spacious and always clean, they even kept us stocked up on water! The hotel was quiet too and the air-con worked, but was just a little bit loud to sleep with it on.
The pool was absolutely lovely and plenty of space to get a chair and sit, so if your looking for a mixture of city break exploring and relaxing holiday this is it!
When we got there we did encounter a slightly rude member of staff who checked us in, but for the rest of the time we were there everyone else was lovely!
We had thought we had booked breakfast but we didn’t have it included (which we found out when we got there), however not an issue as there were some great spots for breakfast near by.

The location is nice. The view of the bay is good, the sea is really nice and there is a bus stop nearby to Valetta.
This didn’t feel like a 5-star hotel for us, unfortunately. The facilities are dated and breakfast and services are mediocre at best. On some days our beds were not made. Not every staff member is friendly and speaks English sufficiently to communicate properly. For example: They made a double reservation on our Creditcard for our stay, which they couldn’t solve. So that reservation (for a large amount of money) stayed until it expired 3 weeks later. More importantly, staff members didn’t seem to understand the problem when we addressed it at the reception, and once they did, they didn’t seem motivated to solve it. We had multiple experiences with uninterested and poorly English speaking staff during our stay.

The area the hotel was located in PeaceVille but the public bus service was excellent and easy to get a taxi to visit all the sights.

The property is a 5 star resort with amazing sea views, excellent and clean facilities with loads of swimming pools and restuarant. I expecially enjoyed the room sizes , the general vast space available in the property , the executive priviledgrs and the onsite restautants and bars

The best about the hotel was it's location - close to the town, nice views to the sea.
This is definitely not 5-star hotel as they claim, and its not just one-off things, but evidence of systemic poor management and poor personnel training. Poor housekeeping, breakfast, service, no pool or beach service and 0 guests trust.
Arrival: Upon check-in, no one took our bags until we asked. We had to pay deposit if we wanted to charge anything to a room during stay. Our room had water on the bathroom floor from the leaky sink, the remote for the TV was dead, and there was a garbage from previous guests. Oh, and the minibar is empty and you have to ask to have it filled up, I bet also for a deposit. So literally 0 guest trust, and their default assumption is that you will not be able to pay.
Housekeeping: They constantly ran out of towels, so throughout our stay we never had a complete set of towels, and when I asked housekeeper, she said she doesn't have any. They do not refill toiletries (soap, shower gel and shampoos) unless you call to reception and ask.
Breakfast food and service: I had impression that all personnel is trained to never speak to a guest first. We would be seated, and we would wait for up to 20 minutes before anyone would ask if we wanted to order anything. The dirty and empty plates are also not taken from your table until you leave. They would even leave empty cup on your table when they bring you a new coffee. One waitress was just straight rude, speaking only to my husband. The food is very mediocre, but you can order an omelette for an extra charge. Cappuccino in the machine is disgusting, always ask the waiter to bring one from the bar.
Service around the hotel: I don't think I ever saw 5* hotel that doesn't have pool or beach service, so this was the first. You can only get drinks and food at 2 caffes around pool area, but not on the lounge chairs, and nothing at the beach. In the lobby you can wait for 30-40 minutes to order.
