Nestled in Upper Hominy, this attractive house for $410 per night is a great choice for your next trip. Banjoe Vacations invites you to The Lake Ridge Retreat! This fully stocked, 3-bedroom, 3-bathroom, private home is your launching pad for everything the area has to offer. This newly renovated getaway is just 15 minutes from downtown. Over the ridge in the other direction is Mount Pisgah, and the Bent Creek Mountain bike area. There is plenty of space to spread out, with two separate living rooms, both with large comfy couches and TVs and plenty of games (including a shuffleboard table!). Our manager lives locally here in the Asheville area and is available throughout your stay, but we also aim to ensure privacy for you and your guests so the house is all yours unless you need us. We are situated at the end of Lake Ridge Road, overlooking our end of the valley. Guests have access to the entire house and property. The Master bedroom is on the main level with an en-suite bathroom. There is another bedroom and bathroom on that level and the upper level has 2 full-sized beds, a sofa bed, and an additional bathroom. On the lower level is the game room, stocked with a variety of entertaining games, a 65" television, a card table, shuffleboard, and a ping pong table. This area boasts a large sectional sofa, perfect for lounging. Outside, the serene views from the covered front porch offer a great place to enjoy your morning coffee or an evening cocktail. Surrounded by nature, you will feel like you are miles from civilization. Our house is in Candler, NC which is a small community just to the west of Asheville, close to the ridge that climbs up to the Blue Ridge Parkway and Mount Pisgah.

New house, “on a hillside”, which meant narrow gravel driveway with drop offs on both sides. Solar lighting along the drive didn’t work, it was scary driving in at night in the rain! The kitchen was very nice, we were able to cook meals and it had all the pans and utensils we needed. However, the house was advertised as sleeping ten, which it can, but, there’s NO dining table. There are two wooden bar stools and then a bistro table on the side. There was no room for the 7 of us to eat together. (3 of our family members live nearby, they didn’t sleep there). Three nice bedrooms but only one has a closet with a clothing bar to hang clothes on. Upstairs bedroom very nice and large but no closet to hang clothes. Game room was nice, the ping pong table is in the garage and was dirty, something had obviously been spilled on it (and there was only one ping pong ball). The garbage bins being right up against the table wasn’t great. Gotta say, the cleanliness wasn’t good overall. Sofa pillows smelled awful. Dropped an earring that went under the bed that I had to crawl around to find and no one’s ever cleaned under there! Could be a really good place to stay with some attention to detail. A few overhead lights were out. Bruce did get right back to me when I texted asking if the driveway lights were on a timer because they weren’t on when we arrived after dark. He explained they were solar. But solar doesn't work on a dark rainy night.
