Sweet Sage is aptly named ... sweet = quaint / sage = aged to perfection. The location was perfect for us - it was close to downtown Idaho Falls ... fun restaurants and quiet walk in the neighborhood. When we were inside we heard very little outside noise and the neighbors were very respectful. The yard was adequate for the 2 furkids we had long for the weekend. The property manage was very responsive to my inquiries. Check out was as ez and check in. THANK YOU, Kathleen & Company

It had everything we needed. Older home so you have to expect some creaking here and there. No dishwasher but we didn't use the kitchen much.

We enjoyed our stay and they were very inviting! They were always quick to respond and if we had any concerns or requests such as checking in early they were always were able to accommodate them! I come twice a year and plan to stay with them again 😊

The house was definitely older, but was well kept up. The only disappointment was that there was no central air conditioning. There were window units in the master bedroom and the kitchen, so that brought down the temperature significantly. Luckily, my kids like it a little warmer, so they were fine in the bedroom with no air conditioning.

This house worked great as a halfway point in a very long road trip and provided exactly what we needed: a quiet place to sleep for a few nights.
The home is older but cared for, it had a nostalgic sense to it for my sister & I.
The blinds in some of the rooms could use some eventual replacing as a number of slats are broken from use but there are curtains to accommodate for that. Driveway is also on the smaller side but manageable in with my small SUV. Since it is a shared driveway, a larger car or truck may have some difficulty squeezing in.

A little old, but clean and cozy.

It is a quaint little place to stay. There is a smell of cigarette smoke throughout the home. It was decently clean other than the bathroom rugs that should have been cleaned. It would have been nice to know that it was at two units one upstairs and one downstairs and people were living downstairs. Really close to the river and the temple both great pluses. Master bedroom mattress needs replaced it is old and pitted.

I stayed only one night. It was a great place no complaints.

I rented this property as it was within walking distance of downtown and it included a pet option.
For a family looking to bring the dog and have an affordable option, this is a good one.
The only recommendation I would make is to upgrade the window coverings in the master bedroom. They are ok but I still struggled with light coming through. A new mattress in the master bedroom would also be nice.
Other than those things, it is a great option for a family wanting an affordable place to stay.

It took some time for response from Carol. I think this place has tons of potential. The entrance could use a good sweep. The closets were dismantled... Also, VRBO clients need to know that space is above dwellers below that you can hear. It is a large space. Location is great if you like to go downtown, bike near the river or check out the Temple. Thank you letting us stay Carol.

We enjoyed our stay very much. A great older home with character. Perfect location. Other people who wrote negative reviews need to realize you are staying in an older home in an older neighborhood. Thank you for letting us stay A+

Clean, comfortable and accurately advertised. Comfortable bed (we slept like babies), good WiFi, kitchen equipped w all necessities for my wife and I to cook a few basic meals. Exactly what we’d hoped for. Great access to everywhere in ID Falls. We’d stay here again in a heartbeat.

Me and my friends were having a small get together because I was visiting from out of town and two of the people were from out of state. My friend was stunning 18 so we got together to play uno and get pizza. the blinds in EVERY room (including the bathroom) had openings so that anyone could look in from anywhere at any point. We obviously didn’t feel comfortable changing or anything of the sorts anymore. Anyone who wasn’t sleeping there was gone by 12 and we had no more than 7 people there. The property manager was rude about me having friends there and accused me of throwing a party. I didn’t feel safe in the area or the property.

The neighborhood wasn't great. The smell in the home was really bad! The house was clean so that was nice. The price was right but unfortunately my wife and I would not stay here again.

We arrived late night from airport which was close by. It was dark and taking the car up on driveway was difficult, too steep and bottom of car scraped on concrete slab. So we parked on the street. Nice property, was clean inside, slept well. Good location. No issues.

This property smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. The blinds had large chunks missing in front room, bathroom and kitchen . The Formica was warped with large gaps on the edges. I was concerned about the cleanliness of the property. The couch was broken. The beds and linens were very old. We left after only an hour at the property. I messaged the owner in the morning not wanting to disturb her at midnight. I requested a refund. She was extremely unhelpful with my request for a refund and stated I had to cancel my stay. It is not possible to cancel a stay after the check in date. She delayed canceling the reservation and I received a $35 refund for a three night stay. I am very unhappy with the owner and the property. This is my first poor experience after years of using VRBO.

Property was clean, centrally located, could use numbers on the home for easier location.

Not a bad house it is a little older in a working class neighborhood, I feel it is acutely listed at with a fair price.

I WILL never stay here again! I DO NOT recommend this place to anyone! We had to leave the property early due to the fact that my husband and kids woke up with bites on their legs. It appears to be bed bugs!!! We had to go get a hotel room for the rest of our stay. I tried to reach out more than once to let the property owner know and got ZERO response!! The neighborhood is rough and the house is very old.

First time using VRBO and will do it again.

Our stay at the property was good the only issue that we had was it got pretty warm in there especially at night because there’s no central air. The room that our boys stayed in got extremely warm at night making it a little bit harder to sleep. Otherwise it was a great stay we were gone most of the time out seeing Idaho Falls. The property is located in a great area and easy to get to all kinds of activities downtown and the beautiful park

Loved working with Carol and the property was amazing for the price. Always clean and comfy. Will stay in one of her places again when in town.

Inside the house it is pretty clean, however outside the front and back door was not very inviting with cracked paint on the steps and a rough hand rail going up the back steps which by brushing my arm lightly against caused a slight tearing of my skin. Around the base of the kitchen faucet it is corroded badly and pretty gross to look at. Our biggest complaint could be the broken pieces of mini blinds on most of the windows, with one place on the blinds in the dining room where the ends of 11 blinds are broken, making a spot about 6"x 12" of clear window. We used the worn cutting board to cover that spot at night. The blinds over he kitchen sink do not have a way to close them, but I had to close each individual blind by hand to have a semblance of privacy. When my wife filled the tub for a bath, the hot water ran out when there was only about 5 inches of water in the tub. I found it strange also that when I showered the hot water seemed to be running out before I finished. Also a soap dish in the corner of the tub/shower that was covered sloppily with of all things duct tape. This was our first VRBO stay and we were quite disappointed. The other BNB's we've stayed at in the Southern part of the country were all very nice. We will not be back at Sweet Sage
