Our stay here was unplanned but turned out to be a surprising treat! Loved the boutique feel to the hotel with its bit of old world charm. Every staff member we encountered was helpful and cheerful. We were fortunate enough to get a renovated room which not only was modern and clean, but exceptionally well thought out. We really appreciated a breakfast that was more than cheap carbs. If staying anywhere to Albany, NY, this place is well worth the stop!

Rooms were spacious clean and comfortable
Water, coffee, welcome cookies
The food at the restaurant was really poor. My prime rib was extremely difficult to cut, the lobster bisque was very salty. The “popovers” were not popovers. They were dried dense muffins. Chef needs to do his research, or at least not call them popovers

Very nice area! Amazing personnel, absolutely delicious breakfast.

Ambiance was good. Lots of greenery. Old hertigae like building. Breakfast had interesting choices.
Staff were helpful and courteous.
Location did not have shops or restaurants nearby. Restaurant operated by Century was closed on Sunday and Monday which were my days of stay. No elevators and had to pull up by luggage. I could do it but others may have difficulties.

I stayed at this hotel with a friend while on a road trip in the fall. I loved it so much that when my family planned a winter weekend in Vermont, I decided to add this stop in along the way. The hotel is charming and cozy with a friendly staff that accommodated all of our needs. There is a complimentary cup of soup offered on arrival, a beverage station, and the new addition of a small market pantry with candy and snacks that my grandchildren couldn't get enough of. The free breakfast included options for all to enjoy. We will definitely make Century House a stop on future trips north. It would be great to stay for more than one night next time.

Super staff, very attentive, friendly, and helpful. Breakfast was great, though a bit of the same every day. Excellent eggs, well cooked bacon, good pastries, and fresh fruit. Coffee was good too. They even donate a meal to a local shelter for each meal served!
Overall, a great place, not sure if there's anything I would change. A tiny bit dated on the furniture, but that's part of the charm. Walls are a bit thin, so if your neighbor is noisy you'll hear them.

The back of the toilet seat and floor behind the toilet was nasty and not clean.

Large room, but lacking a dresser. Very clean with plenty of towels if you are planning a longer stay. Due to covid protocol housekeeping needs to be requested. The morning breakfast was excellent. Earl, the resident chef, was very pleasant and accomplished. Every day he would put out different hot items. From blueberry pancakes to waffles, bacon, sausage, eggs to order, ect.
We were there for 6 mornings and really looked forward to it.The small fitness was really nice to have also.
The bed was large but rather uncomfortable for me. Needs an elevator also, which I hear is being put in.

It was beautiful. we loved the exposed beams, room set up and decor, the complimentary soup, coffee & water available in the lobby. the breakfast was fabulous. The thing that we loved the most, and will make this a go to hotel, is that they have Bibles in the rooms.
The only thing we didn’t like was someone actually being able to unlock our door and try to get into our room at 9 pm. Thank goodness for the cross lock

I happened onto this place a few years back while doing college tours. I love the uniqueness of this property and that it’s dog friendly.
Some if exterior doors don’t lock. If I were traveling solo - this would make me feel uneasy.

The breakfast was fantastic. Out of all the hotels that I have stayed in I must say this one has the best continental breakfast.
The weekend breakfast differs some from the weekday breakfasts. I had Sunday & Monday and they were both top notch.
The chef was very friendly and accomodating!!!

The lobby receptionist was welcoming!
she was extremely friendly and courteous.
I asked if the room could be changed to the first floor because there is no elevator. she quickly & efficiently made the accommodation . The lobby area had a fireplace with 2 comfy leather chairs where we had a cup of delicious butternut squash & apple soup, complimentary. There was a coffee, tea, hot cocoa station along with flavored cucumber water and fresh cold water. On another table was a jar of yummy chocolate chip or raisin cookies. On the counter was a heated towel machine for guests use. The rooms are immaculate with hardwood flooring which is much better than carpet! There was plenty of dresser and hanging areas , a small refrigerator, coffee maker, hairdryer, ironing supplies if needed.
A comfortable corner chair, a desk, tv, and best of all the comfortable pillow top queen size beds!
I would suggest an indoor heated pool for the colder months, especially for families with children who are staying for more than one day.
