Great hotel, but a little pretentious and overpriced.

The location was convenient to get to the Bruce Museum and Greenwich avenue shops and restaurants. They gave you water and Prosecco on arrival, coffee and warm beverages all day and continental breakfast in the morning. The room was well equipped and luxuriously decorated. Harbor views were nice.

The service was a little lacking, especially at the restaurant on site l’escale where we had dinner. The food was excellent but the hostess especially did not make us feel welcome. The bathroom needed some maintenance, the countertop was separating from the backsplash and the shower curtain was missing some hooks. Also, our room had a balcony, which we really liked and spent a lot of time on, but it was on the second floor right above the restaurants outdoor area. The awning was an eyesore.

Bad place and bad behavior

despite the fact that it was included in the price, no breakfast was served to me

I am a big traveler and I always book through Booking. I have never left a negative comment This time I was blown away.In the Booking reservation n.2820763705 for the night between 24 and 25 April the price indicated was € 295 including breakfast. When I asked where breakfast was served in the morning, they pointed me to a table near a fireplace where it was only possible to have a cup of coffee, an apple and a cereal bar. Nothing else! Of course I have the photo of this table. I complained; and then they directed me to a room that was reached via two long corridors on the first floor and two staircases without a lift. It was the restaurant connected to the hotel, but under separate management. I had to wait until 7:30am. They presented me with a menu with few dishes and very high prices. I asked for a muffin (dry; not fresh) and a cappuccino. I paid a very large bill. In the hotel I didn't ask for any extras; not even bottled water. But instead of €295 (including breakfast) the total bill was US$508.35. This amount was not requested at check out. But I only later discovered that it was loaded directly onto the card, having taken the "guarantee" swipe at check-in. The hotel is advertised for its water view. But there are no dehors, and going out one realizes that the canal is fetid. Old and cheap external structures; fake plastic plants

Breakfast could have better fruit and fresh danish and muffins. I ordered a queen room but bed was small, I should have ordered a queen.

Lived in Greenwich years ago and so glad I have a place to come back to that is so welcoming.

The staff were exceptional. Very welcoming and fun. We had two well behaved small dogs with us, and the staff were so kind to them. The bed was so comfortable. The room beautiful. Felt like we were away from the NE cold in the warm palette of the Mediterranean decor. We had continental breakfast in a beautifully decorated room with fire and view of the harbor with few jolly guests. We had dinner at the restaurant and enjoyed heathy choices on the menu, while listening to a two-piece band who were just amazing. Want to go back soon.

We could have stayed another night!

Great day on the beach with a very good dinner at the hotel restaurant to top it off...

Very comfortable hotel overall... room and beds very nice... staff very friendly and helpful... waiter in restaurant very good... they even parked a decent bottle of chamagne in the room (I had told them it was my wife's birthday) and offered up a sparkler birthday dessert for her after dinner... very nice gesture... location is fantastic, right at the ferry to Greenwhich Island Beach... we went and we had a great day on the beach... nice facilities there as well... you can also walk easily into town from the hotel... highly recommended for a nice getaway for a special occassion...

Great place for resting on a drive between Washington, DC and Boston. Comfortable rooms, helpful staff, good restaurant.

great location the service was excellent. Staff were accommodating and friendly. The facilities and hotel were very clean. Little pricey but you get what you pay for. I would recommend the Hotel. And yes I would stay again.

My girlfriend and I could not figure out how to open their water bottles.

I needed a place that could charge my electric vehicle, which is a nice perk. L’Escale is a yummy restaurant so a nice perk of staying there. The rooms/decor are definitely dated and the “breakfast” is low end granola bars & sad oranges but overall it’s a decent place

Waterfront property & open balcony/veranda in an upscale neighborhood, very clean and well kept rooms, Bvlgari branded amentities, and exceptionally friendly/helpful staff. Room service was great experience.

Breakfast was disappointing. Prices were high. No ATM on premise, how are you supposed to tip and leave money for people making the rooms without an ATM near by?

Pleasant

Room was average. I was awakened by noisy guests several times during the night. The hotel had no tea other than fruity and herbal teas at breakfast. I don’t drink coffee.

Very good

Lovely little room - very comfortable. Small and easy to get around property with nice restaurant on site.

Room maintenance - paint and wall coverings - particularly in bathroom need some attention. Reception staff at restaurant very unmotivated.
