Great budget option in Lafayette

Discovery Inn is a great option if you are looking for a no-frills budget motel. The staff was friendly and helpful, and they keep the rooms very clean. Unlike some other budget places I’ve stayed, the other guests were quiet and respectful. Rooms are simple but comfortable, and have good wi-fi.

The swimming pool is no longer working. They no longer offer breakfast.

L'endroit est calme. La chambre et salle de bain étaient très propres malgré l'ensemble désuet.

Il y avait une horrible odeur de nourriture, impossible de s'en débarrasser et de s'y habituer. On était en rez-de-chaussée sur le parking avec une baie vitrée immense, pas de sentiment de sécurité. Les lits nous ont fait mal au dos.

it was quiet and in a good area

the room took over 12 hours to get cold/comfortable enough to sleep, the tv remote didn’t work at all, the entire place smelled musty, the bathroom had a vent that led outside and let the hottest air in and the bathroom door would get stuck and make the worst noise to open and close

Nice Staffs... clean room very Quiet.... affordable price...near lots food store & lots Restaurant..Gas Station etc..

Just could have thicker bed spread cover was too thin and not enough to cover especially when it's summer time and A/C on..

Achieved expectations for what we need it.

The place was good, safe, well located and affordable. They don't offer breakfast as in the past.

Didn't have 'do not disturb' sign and they woke us up 2 days in a row with a heave knocking at the door plus no breakfast offered anymore.

We canceled our reservation after seeing the property, and they refunded us.

I liked that they gave us a refund when we canceled after seeing the room.

It was dark, dirty, reeked of cigarette smoke, the room looked like it was halfway disassembled with drawers on the floor, sheets pulled back, only one bed but 2 headboards, we couldn’t stay there.

The room was ok and it is in a great location. Just need to work on the rodents and the shower.

There were a couple of roaches. And the shower didn't work. It also needed blankets.

Filthy, roach infested

Nothing.

The roaches in the bathroom. The staff lied about giving me my money back for a 4-minute stay in their dirty facility. Now I have to fight with my bank to dispute it. The worst experience ever!

Just needed a place to sleep, staff was friendly.

Definitely the lowest rates in this area. Bed was comfortable. I basically just needed a place to sleep after a late night conference, worked out well.

The two small lamps mounted on the headboard didn't work. Phone charging ports by bed didn't work.

The desk clerk was pleasant. That's the only good comment I can think of.

Very disappointed in this property, and in the way that Booking.com presented it. The motel is old and shabby, but the Booking photos made it look sparkly clean. The pool, which the website showed as full, was in fact empty, with junk piled around it. There were also several old mattresses piled in different areas. The room was unpleasant, too. There were multiple stains on the carpet, and nothing looked clean. Altogether, an unpleasant experience.

It was sufficient for purpose of stay, just a layover stay, enroute to final destination.

Price was good for what our purpose was. Rooms were booked close together. Overall comfortable for sleeping.

Look like there were long term residents. Trash was in parking areas. Alot of junk from long term residents. Overall appearance of hotel and reception building was rundown. No Pool and No breakfast.
