Reasonably price perfect if your doing something at NCS

View from room and the restaurant was excellent

If we are in the Raleigh area, we will definitely stay at the StateView!

We ate at the restaurant the night we arrived and were very pleased with the food and service. The bartender was our server and she was amazing to watch! The hotel inside and out was beautiful.

The shower could have been a little better and the water pressure was very low. It was also very difficult to get the water temperature to stay constant so you spend a lot of time adjusting during your shower or even washing your hands.

Wonderful place but please inspect your bathrooms after cleaning staff!

Wonderful location, cozy lobby, nice restaurant (pricey but quality food), there is a nice hiking/mountain bike trail on campus with beautiful views of the lake. And in the evening, the place does not look deserted: there are residents hanging out, it was great.

The room was fine, the bathroom was OK. However, after I stepped into the shower, I realized it was soapy and slippery. I found several long pieces of hair in the floor and realized either the shower had not been cleaned at all or, most likely, it was cleaned but the water did not drain fast and soapy water just dried and i rinsed. In addition, the sink had a large ball of hair clogging it more than 70%, causing water to drain slowly.

Not much, the rooms are dark and very basic, the lobby looks good but that’s about all.

Location by lake with walking trails. Very nice hotel with pool and great restaurant and staff.

I probably won’t stay at this hotel again because of the mix up. But everything else was good.

It was a great location for the wedding I was attending.

I booked a single King room and got a double bed. Didn’t like that at all.

Not worth the money this time.

The hotel lobby is modern and upscale. The double queen room we had was spacious and modern.

The staffing on the weekend was inadequate as the restaurant wait time seemed like hours. The bathroom sliding door was difficult to open and the sink was plugged so that the water drained extremely slow. Yuck!

Lots of Zen here , just walk the grounds.

It was like an array of goodies at that property. Great location, super easy and quick to anything you can think of . Will come again.

Service lacking but hotel well located and nice area surrounding it

Location and area - beautiful grounds

Staff- mostly in restaurant. We tried to get drinks at the bar two different times during our stay when according to posted hours it was open, but both times the staff there said they were not open and ignored us. It was weird.

Great location, friendly staff, free parking

The bed - very uncomfortable, the water pressure in the shower - almost nonexistent, the pool - super dirty pool floor and temperature really warm, the room temperature - never got overly cool, and was too warm, we booked a kind size room for three nights only to check in and be told no king beds available, but we did get a free breakfast voucher for one morning, and the morning we checked out we were awoken by housekeeping coming in our room a little before 8:30am.

Discussed to see how they clean rooms

Property is nice

They have a disgusting way to clean empty rooms. They drop towels on the floor to hold the door open. And as you are returning to your room you see all the mess inside plus the towel you could use in the future used as a doorstop. I’ve never seen that before. And I will never see it again in that hotel as I’m never coming back.

Beautiful facility in a great location, but the deficiencies noted kept our stay from being positive

The breakfast was excellent. Very nice and attentive wait staff. Very well prepared food. Very nice and comfortable dining facility.

The hotel is very attractive and clean. Our room was very attractive and comfortable; the bed was very comfortable; the television was excellent. We encountered several room deficiencies that were very disappointing given the reputation of the hotel and the price we paid for a corner room with a lake view. First, the idea of a corner room with a lake view was very misleading. Your could catch a glimpse of the lake through the trees, but not what I would call a lake view. More importantly: the dead bolt did not work; the sink didn't drain well - water accumulated in the sink; the soap dispensers in the shower either did not have sufficient soap to work properly or were just very hard to squeeze sufficiently to get out a meaningful amount of soap; and, finally, and most disturbingly, my wife got locked in the bathroom and could not turn the lever to open the door. Fortunately, there was a slot in the outside part of the lock into which I was able to insert a quarter and turn the lock to open it. Otherwise, we would have needed to call the front desk for help. Of course, our great concern was what would have happened if she had been traveling alone and had encountered the same problem. These deficiencies are why we are unable to give a positive review of our stay.

Well-maintained, beautiful and clean hotel. Good service all round from reception to housekeepers.

Breakfast was a simple but substantial ala carte menu. Quality and taste of food was good. The pancakes we ordered were a huge serving, more than enough for 1 person.

We were on a road trip and dropped by to rest for a night. Didn't explore much. So we can't find something we didn't like.

Location was nice but wouldn’t stay here again! No lake view sink stopped up and shower!

Sink was totally stopped up and shower. There was build up in shower. Bed was hard and pillows too soft and not enough towels! Room we paid for said lake view! We paid extra and couldn’t see a lake at all!

Property was nice but I was over charged!

Superb

Very clean Hotel! The staff was very informative and friendly.

The pool closed at sun down & the restaurant and bar were open minimal times from 5:30-11. we wanted to eat b4 5 and when we got back from our event, have a night cap but the bar was closed.
