Only master bedroom was livable,master bathroom was falling apart and was screwed down with crews,with black mould on ceiling,no wentilation in there because fan is not working,other two bedroom beds squicky on any movement,little bedrooms bed frame broken,place just needs major updates it looks like nothing was done to it since the place was built and most annoying think that anywhere you want to go you need the key to get in, pool,beach,pool bathrooms and anywhere alls you need to get to.. ok now good thinks,livingroom couch was comfortable, kitchen fully stocked,heated pool,location is right on the beach,and the beach was clean also,i hate giving bad reviews but over last 10 years i was coming to the area for vacation this place was the worst out of all i ever rented,so owner please update the place and make it great because the location is asking for it !!!!!!

This is our 4th stay at Villa Madeira
The first 2 stays were ok the last 2 had some issues mostly with the HOA president and the elevator
The HOA president seems to like to insert himself in to everything he sees and he acts like he owns the property
The unit was pretty much what was listed overall it was good, there was some mold on the bathrooms and the no seeums were everywhere but hey it’s Florida and it’s hot and humid, but the major set back was the elevator and it went out both on the day of arrival and the day of check out
It is NOT the unit owners responsibility to service the elevator so I don’t hold them accountable they were more than welcoming and easily accessible just wish whoever is tasked with upkeep would do a better job

I can not say enough about how professional Steve, the owner, was! I reached out to him four days before our trip, the day before Hurricane Idalia was scheduled to make land fall in Maderia Beach. He immediately returned my call and said he’s let me know after Idalia passed the status of the condo. He went above and beyond the day before our reservation, he informed us of all the damage to the property, zero, informed us of sand removal/cleanup, and also about businesses reopening. Even after he told us all was good to go he offered to give us a full refund!!! He did not have to do this, how many owners are this up front, honest, and generous!?!? Based on his honesty we decided to go and I am so glad we did! Is the condo updated, no but it was clean and comfortable, which is most important to us. I highly recommend this property, it’s affordable, clean, comfortable, and is managed professionally!

When getting to the property, the only thing they gave us was a four digit pass code and told us there was a lock box in the white cabinet that was it. (40 lockboxes) call and call but no pickup from said owners we had to try to put the code in everyone box just to find ours is! Finally found our right lockbox(510)* we go up to the room and 74-76 degrees is very uncomfortable in 95-100 degree temperatures not to mention both doors are broken that leads out to the balcony one never did open to the outside(master bedroom) and broken drawers in master bathroom and broken closet door in front of the washer and dryer. After staying there for a whole week, never wants to touch base with the owners which is very sad and unprofessional. I will give this trip a 2/10 just because of the Beach Location. But yet the worst place we’ve ever stayed up on Vrbo definitely play what you get.

We had a fantastic stay at Madeira Beach! The location of this condo is perfect-it is close to John’s Pass, many restaurants, and has the best beach view.
The owners of the condo were very responsive whenever I asked a question. I contacted them a few times. They were also very understanding.
My kids loved the huge bath in the master bathroom and the condo was very spacious for our family of 5. The screened in patio made me feel comfortable when my younger kids were sitting with us.
We will definitely return to this condo if our family decides to stay at Madeira Beach again!

Very nice location. Amazing view of the Gulf. Heated swimming pool was perfect for this time of year. Beds were comfortable. Had every thing we needed for the beach, including fishing poles, which my grandson loved. Our only complaint would be that the coffee pot should be replaced. The replacement carafe did not fit the maker. We had to jimmy rig it to work. Please just replace that old thing.

Priced accordingly. This accommodation has what we consider the most important aspects covered: cleanliness, functionality, & location. The living room & kitchen have been renovated (kitchen stopping short at the ceiling), bathrooms haven't been touched for decades. Happy that bedroom floors have been updated with lvt. (not shown in pics) They really should replace the broken-down (but functioning) twin bed ,stained kitchen ceiling tiles, and door stops. And any DIYer could have that scuffed dining room table sanded down & polyed in an hour, so that they could ditch the cheap tablecloth. New outlets should be on the to-fix list too... functioning but loose! Cheap fixes that would go a long way in leaving a good impression. Bathroom remodels definitely should be done, but I'm sure the price will go up accordingly after those happen! As a house flipper, it's hard for me to vacation instead of heading to Lowe's to start working on some of these things while I'm there! 😂

Great place, location, good price. Owner was responsive and available for any questions. We had everything we needed as far as furnishings/kitchen supplies. The unit has some renovations and improvements. There isn’t carpet in the bedrooms anymore like the pictures show. The owner also told us about the renovations planned for the bathrooms. We would definitely stay here again. Overall great vacation and experience especially considering the week before not knowing if we would be able to due to Hurricane Ian. The owner was super responsive during that time and we had a plan B in place depending on the path of the storm.

We've been renting since 2008, through VRBO. Location was good, a mile to John's Pass is not walkable, especially for our blind autistic son. The beds absolutely need replacement. All three of us had sore backs by the time we left.
Washer and dryer did not work properly. Kitchen ceiling was pretty gross. Bed sheets did not stay on the master bed. 72° locked thermostat was not comfortable. Holes in the screened in balcony.
The building is in good shape, this unit could have been better.

BEST CONDO FOR THE PRICE!!!
Was very pleasantly shocked at how nice of a place this is! We have paid upwards of $2,000 - $2,500 for the same (or similar) condo rentals. Nice soft comfy king sz bed in our room, full sz bed for my 2 girls to share, and a twin sz bed for our son in another bedroom! GIANT round bath tub in the main bathroom! Kitchen had pots, pans, plates, cups, silverware, etc... about anything you can ask for. We did buy a pizza pan from walmart for our family for the week. This condo is AMAZING!!! Steps from the sand! Pool is open 24/7 for guests! Great view of the waves n beach from our balcony! Didn't care much for the screened in balcony, but you couldn't see it in pictures! Overall this place is a STEAL for the listed price!! We will definitely rent from these sweet people again if we decide to come back again and visit Madeira Beach!!

Nice Place Overall
My family and I had a great stay. Very closely located to St. John’s Pass so there are a ton of things to do.
The owners were very responsive to any questions I had. Overall - The condo is very clean but is pretty dated. It didn’t really bother me or detract from our stay at all just a few details would go a long way. Like putting some new air vents in wouldn’t be a bad idea. The ones that are in there look pretty dusty. Also, making sure the outlets are not loose and ensuring a parking pass is in the condo. Small things like that would make a big difference.
Again, it didn’t really bother me at all but I could see how that would be a detractor for others.

Sisters Week
We three girls were very pleased with the location of the condo. The view was great and close to what we wanted to explore. Small issues with the condo that need to be addressed are making sure all the bedroom lamps have bulbs that work and declutter the closets so guests can use them. Had no problems with anything else.

Replaced several light bulbs in living room with 3 ways so we could read at night.
Our front door was extremely difficult to use. the lock would turn to right but not engage the lock tumblers to turn bolt.
Vertical blinds in master bedroom missing 3-4 slats on each side. I know we are on the 5th floor but still.
No locks on sliding door to balcony.
Double pain window in dining room area leaks during rain. Accumulates water in track.
Why no drain plugs in bathtubs?
Multiple dents in wallboards in unit.
Oven light not working.

The view and location are fantastic. However, I challenge the owners to sleep on the queen or twin beds. Box springs were CREEPY CREAKY LOUD with any movement whatsoever and the mattresses on the queen and twin were saggy and and broken down.
We would not only stay again but make it our go to beach destination if the beds were replaced. King was better but has a visible hump all the way down the middle. Pullout couch is brand new, great for kids, hard for 2 adults to sleep on. Kitchen is great, sliding door in living room will not totally close and very hard to open. Loved the location and view.———Hated the beds. (Note to owners.). The kitchen sink was not sealed (caulked) on the front between the granite and the sink.

We had a great time at this condo this week. Lots of pool toys and several beach chairs made us more comfortable. Plenty of beach towels and kitchen utensils. The owners were quick to communicate with any questions we had and I would highly recommend staying here.

First of all I just want to say this is a great location. The bonus of this condo is the view. Getting to that view is not very easy. The sliding doors are broke. Getting to the balcony takes maximum effort. Going out early in the morning isn’t easy because the door is so difficult it makes a terrible noise and wakes everyone in the condo. The table and chairs make a terrible noise. I am trying to be very fair but this condo needs to be dated. I don’t mind not having current furniture but the table looks like something from a yard sale, the chairs have outdated material padding on it and the couch feels like you’re sitting sitting on straw. Again the location of this condo is fantastic. We were there during hurricane Elsa and the storm doors don’t close. We called the owner and was told that sure they close -they have not been closed in three years. I would not recommend this condo until some issues were cleared up.
