About this cottage rental
Nestled in Carillon Beach, this charming cottage for $868 per night is a great choice for your next vacation. A Ray of sunshine is located in the charming, gated community of Carillon Beach. After visiting Carillon Beach for over 7 years, we loved it so much, we purchased this home in March of 2018! Our house sits just steps from beach walkover 2. There is about a mile stretch of white sugar sand and beautiful ocean. I find myself taking pictures every single trip. We have never gotten over what a beautiful place this is! Our home has NO stairs. The front porch is welcoming and the favorite place to hang. The master opens to the back deck which overlooks our private pool. The pool can be heated in the cooler months. You'll see this home is ideal for families with kids, both young and older. We have 3 bedrooms, 2 bedrooms have queen beds; 3rd has 2 sets of bunk beds with full mattresses on bottom bunks. Each bedroom has its own full bath room. Sleeps 8 to 10 people. The master bedroom has access to private outdoor shower with hot and cold running water, which is a great treat after a day at the beach. Carillon is a quiet gated community with paved roads and sidewalks that create a safe place for children and families to ride bikes and walk to activities. There are 3 pools available for your use in the community; a lakeside pool, beachside and parkside pool. The Bellview Park has a playground , tennis courts, basketball court and an open grassy area. Carillon has a cute, quaint town center. During the summer you can enjoy outdoor concerts on the green and various children's activities. There is also a chapel and a gift shop that rents bikes, paddle boards and kayaks in town center. There are 2 restaurants in this area. Our home is also walking distance to Lake Powell, a brackish water lake, that you can do every water activity you can think of including jet skiing, and boating. Our home comes with a beach chair service, which includes 2 chaise lounge chairs and a large beach umbrella. Beach chair service runs March 15 to October 15 of each year. Carillon is located 5 minutes by car from the beginning of the famous stretch of highway, 30A Conveniently located 1/4 mile from 2 grocery stores: Publix and Winn Dixie Please Note: Home is SMOKE FREE and NO PETS ALLOWED. There is an age restriction and number of occupants restriction. Reservations not accepted for students or singles under age of 25. I stayed here with my husband and two grown daughters. It was the perfect size for us. The beds and sheets were so comfortable. Even the towels were soft and new. There was an excessive heat warning all week so we spent every day in the pool. We loved having a pool at the house. There are chairs around the pool in the shade and a deck with chairs which made it nice. The backyard is private and quiet. We also loved the outdoor shower off the master bath. You could access it from the outside or through the master bath tub. It was one of our favorite parts of the house. There are two other showers if you don’t want to use the outdoor one. The house is only a few doors down from the beach so it’s a great location. This is our fourth time staying in Carillon and we love how it’s gated, quiet, safe and has beautiful homes. We rented a golf cart for the week from a business at Carillon and they delivered and picked it up. Very fun to have to drive around the neighborhood. The house is very clean. We had such a relaxing vacation. Would stay here again!

Week with family
Wonderful week with family at Ray of sunshine!! Very nice home, spotless, great condition and well stocked. First time in Sunnyside (have stayed along the coast many times) but LOVE the neighborhood. Quiet, friendly, quaint neighborhood feel like 30a used to be but easy access to anything needed just down the road. Shaded pool for a quick dip after the 1/2 block walk back from uncrowded beach. Quick communication with owner, highly recommend. Thanks

Great house, perfect for us (grandparents, parents, 1 toddler) with sweet private pool behind the house, a must to keep a toddler occupied. Very close to beach walkover. We would definitely rent this again!

A Ray of Sunshine is a beautiful house inside and out. It is located in the private community of Carillon Beach which was quiet and had all sorts of wonderful amenities all within walking distance. Our three boys were in the pool everyday, so paying extra for having it heated was well worth it. We were also just a block away from the beach which was so convenient. The owners were great to work with and very communicative. Would definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay. Extremely clean, just a few yards to beach, quiet neighborhood. Heating the pool was an additional cost, but worth it. Would definitely stay again.

Wonderful and amazing
This was our first stay at Carillon Beach. The property is absolutely amazing - beautifully decorated, 20 feet from the beach walkover and one of the only properties that has a private pool. We were down there for tropical storm Fred and the owners checked in on us repeatedly to make sure we had all the essentials for a power outage. Even the neighbors were amazing.

Beach Vacation
A Ray of Sunshine is a wonderful home at Carrillon Beach. Three bedrooms and three baths were perfect for our family. The master bath shower is outdoors which we found to be less steamy and very refreshing. The adults loved the backyard pool during our 1 year olds afternoon naps. We hope to return next year.

Highly recommend
Great house with an amazing pool. Will definitely stay there again. Only unique/disappointing feature is that there is no true shower in the master BR. The walk-out to the outdoor shower is odd.

Amazing location and pool!
We loved our spring break week at this rental! The heated pool was a huge hit and the house was a great fit for our family of five. It would be very tight with more people and there is almost no closet/storage space (the closet in the bunk room is blocked by the beds). My kids used the top bunks for their clothes and it was no problem. It was a 1 minute walk to walkover 2 and so close to the parks and other Carillon amenities. It was definitely too cold to use the master bath outdoor only shower. We did not understand that this was the only shower in the master (there is a tub) but we were able to use our kids showers for the week. The living area is cozy and the house was very clean. If you’re looking for a private pool and super close access to the beach, this is the house!

Wonderful family stay at Carillon Beach
This wonderful cottage home was the shining star in a week filled with less than ideal Florida weather. Though we barely saw the sun or a warm, dry day, our kids will forever remember spending hours every day in the heated pool, riding bikes in the streets of the Carillon community, and the jacuzzi bath. This property was very nice and had all the amenities we needed as a family, especially while vacationing during a pandemic. Would highly recommend!

Great house in Carillon Beach!
Great house in Carillon Beach. Love the neighborhood and the proximity to the beach, its very close and we actually enjoyed the short walk every day (its really just a few steps up the street). Great front porch for rocking in a chair or relaxing on the swing (even/or especially if it rains), and having your own pool to swim in after some time at the beach made every day extra fun for the kids. Also loved that the beach chairs are right there when you walk onto the beach. We enjoyed nice bike rides and walks through the beautiful neighborhood, and also loved the proximity to both the local restaurants, and everything on 30A, which is just a few minutes away by car. The owner Steve was great, very responsive and informative if you have any questions. I'd say more, but I kind of want to keep this hidden gem a secret!

Family Vacation
We had a wonderful vacation. The property is very close to the walkover to the beach. The pool is well secured with a fence around it, which made me feel at ease since we had young children with us. The neighborhood is so adorable and we enjoyed being able to walk to restaurants.

Fun times at Ray of Sunshine
What a great beach house! The kids loved the pool so much we spent hours every day there. The close proximity to the ocean made at least one beach visit part of our daily routine. The beach chairs included with the house are right at the bottom of the walk over stairs. We enjoyed our stay so much and will return! :) The owner is kind and attentive.

Relaxing get away
We stay at Carillon yearly for Spring Break and this house was so comforting and amazing. The pool was a great way to spend time with our family. The owners provide lots of little extras that I’ve not seen provided in other houses such as laundry detergent, shampoo, and soaps. The front rockers and swings were great to have coffee & read a book & the back porch table was great for outdoor dining. We would most definitely stay in this house again.

The home was very clean and well kept. The location of the home to the beach access was close and convenient. The owners made the rental process easy. The pool was a fantastic extra, something we haven't had the pleasure of with past rentals. It was absolutely perfect for our group. I would definitely recommend this rental.

We loved staying at a little More Fun. It is a very nice beach house located in a great location. It is a short distance from the beautiful beach and your lounge chairs and umbrellas are set up waiting for you.The house is set up with everything you need.The front porch swing was my favorite place to be. We had dinner on the back deck by our very own pool. It was so nice that we didn't want to leave after two weeks. The owners Bob and Joyce were great to work with. Lovely home with pool, very close to the beach!
Loved this place. Two minute walk to the glorious beach, with our own pool for relaxing in the afternoon. The front porch swing was 1950’s heaven. Close to all sorts of interesting restaurants and beach towns. The locals were so friendly, inviting us for the ritual sunset viewing every evening as they walked by! Oh, and the weather was perfect.

My family and I, 5 people total, enjoyed a wonderful week in this beautiful cottage. We enjoyed the use of the private pool and the close proximity of the beach access. The Carillon community was so nice and offered wonderful amenities. Would love to stay here again and again!

Comfortable house!
A Little More Fun was comfortable and very close to the beach walkover. We had everything we needed, and the owners went out of their way to make sure everything was right. We have stayed in five different houses, and this was one of our favorites!
